00:00 You have been asked to dialogue, and dialogue and having conversations is a good thing.
00:06 And we want to encourage you to have that one-on-one dialogue, even with your competitors
00:11 in the last elections.
00:13 And because the former Prime Minister has now said he wants a mediator between you and
00:21 him, and you offered to engage him one-on-one, and it's so gracious of you, Your Excellency,
00:30 that you do not need a mediator to discuss matters that concern the Kenyan people.
00:36 But the Kenyan people are now telling you, and I have seen them in many platforms around
00:40 the country, saying as much as you can engage with the former Prime Minister and those on
00:45 his side, please engage with him publicly in a public forum where Kenyans will be witnesses
00:54 of the issues that you shall be discussing.
00:57 And we want to make it easier for you, Your Excellency.
00:59 You will not even need a big meeting like this.
01:02 If you get two seats, your seat, his seat, and a camera, then you project it live on
01:09 TV.
01:10 We shall be able to watch all over the country and ensure that the issues you are engaging
01:15 on are issues that touch on Kenyans.
01:19 Because we must bring to an end the business of people going into the streets for demonstrations,
01:27 causing violence, looting, and anarchy to force you and government to sit and negotiate
01:34 on issues to do with power and how people will share positions.
01:38 Therefore, if you want to engage with the opposition, we want to encourage you, Your
01:43 Excellency, engage with them.
01:45 But on matters that touch on how we will revive our economy, on issues that touch on the lives
01:52 of Kenyans, on that, Your Excellency, nobody has an issue with you engaging with the former
01:58 Prime Minister, even with the former President.
02:01 I see today in Nairobi they are praying.
02:04 And I am happy that finally they have recognized that the giver and taker of life is Almighty
02:12 God.
02:13 And even as we mourn Kenyans who lost their lives during the violent riots, because, Your
02:19 Excellency, we said yesterday what we have witnessed in this country are not demonstrations.
02:24 They are not – it's not picketing.
02:27 They are not peaceful processions.
02:29 They are riots organized and people being mobilized to riot so that people can use violence
02:37 and anarchy to negotiate themselves into power.
