Wollongong Olympic coach Matt Bailey talking after his team's Bert Bampton Cup final win over Port Kembla
Transcript
00:00 You're the Bantam Cup final winning coach, what's your emotions like?
00:07 It's another good achievement for the club, we played really well today, we like the big
00:14 games, we seem to turn up, we seem to be able to compose and execute on these big occasions
00:18 and again, credit to the boys and the team, we're still missing a few key players but
00:22 to get the job done today means a lot to the club.
00:24 I think this is your second trophy since at the club?
00:27 Absolutely it is, it's on the back of last year's grand final and hopefully we're not
00:31 done this year, we're building momentum nicely, we're playing well and we're getting results
00:35 at the right time of year so we've got big confidence.
00:38 I thought your front three were particularly good, especially the gold score, Harry Cullum
00:43 and them?
00:44 They worked tirelessly today, I think it was instrumental for us, a great composed finish,
00:49 probably could have had one or two others but tirelessly worked, never give up and that's
00:54 the attitude in the group, the boys are all for the team and that showed today.
00:58 Even defensively I thought they were feeding on scraps, you guys were pretty solid?
01:03 Yeah, we've worked a lot on our defence over the last five or six weeks, we've conceded
01:07 one goal in six matches which is a pretty amazing achievement.
01:11 In the final today it's important that you don't give away goals and don't concede easily
01:16 and we knew that and we executed really well on that front ten.
01:19 Is there anything else you want to add?
01:21 All good mate, thank you.
01:22 Thank you. Thanks everyone.
