01:07 make this highlight real.
01:09 It's a lot of fun over there.
01:10 We've also got several other shows and films.
01:11 We do reaction highlights and watch-alongs for it.
01:14 It's a great time.
01:14 But without further ado, let's have ourselves a great time
01:18 with the last two episodes of The Witcher.
01:20 We're going to do episodes six and seven altogether
01:23 and then do the finale on its own.
01:25 Let's do this thing.
01:26 [MUSIC PLAYING]
01:29 I cannot let you leave until we've done what we came to do.
01:34 Order!
01:34 [SCREAMING]
01:35 Now lay down your weapon.
01:37 I'd hate to ask the boys to persuade you.
01:38 Kick his ass, Geralt.
01:40 Kick his ass.
01:41 So I'm a prisoner.
01:42 To do what you're doing!
01:43 We're only here for matches.
01:45 After all, I see us as allies.
01:47 [GROANING]
01:49 [INAUDIBLE]
01:50 [GROANING]
01:53 [INAUDIBLE]
01:55 Ciri's the sunlight.
01:57 Ciri, where is that light coming from?
01:58 [INAUDIBLE]
01:59 [SCREAMING]
02:01 [INAUDIBLE]
02:02 [GROANING]
02:04 Excellent.
02:09 [INAUDIBLE]
02:10 [INAUDIBLE]
02:14 Good timing.
02:15 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:24 Making breakfast.
02:25 I was just--
02:26 I know what you were doing, Radovid.
02:27 Jeska, you've got it wrong.
02:28 Which part?
02:29 The part where you feigned affection for me,
02:32 or the part where you tried to kidnap
02:33 a young woman under my care?
02:35 Aw.
02:37 Would make everything easier for us if she came to Edenia.
02:40 I'd be out from under the extra's thumb.
02:42 There it is.
02:43 How can you think my feelings for you are a lie?
02:45 Because of this exact situation.
02:46 Yeah.
02:47 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:50 Oh, Ciri.
02:51 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:54 You had one job.
02:56 Ciri!
02:57 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:00 Ciri.
03:02 Yeah, Skier.
03:03 You got messed up.
03:04 We have ample evidence of Vilgefortz
03:06 aligning with Nilfgaard.
03:08 So this is a trial.
03:09 No.
03:11 A purge.
03:13 No.
03:15 For 12 hours, we will proceed with this.
03:19 You shouldn't have left the girl alone.
03:21 Lydia, my master has given me power beyond power.
03:25 Kick her ass, Yennefer.
03:26 [LAUGHTER]
03:28 [LAUGHTER]
03:30 Jennifer.
03:31 Whoa.
03:32 [LAUGHTER]
03:33 [INAUDIBLE]
03:35 Don't look, Vilgefortz.
03:37 You can't protect her if you're there.
03:39 [LAUGHTER]
03:41 It's one thing to sucker punch somebody,
03:42 but to do it with magic, too.
03:44 [LASER FIRE]
03:46 Oh, shit.
03:49 And the crowd goes wild.
03:51 Triss!
03:53 With us, Ciri will find and fulfill her own destiny.
03:56 Her destiny is with Vilgefortz.
03:59 Her blood will give her nothing.
04:02 Oh.
04:04 That was resolved quickly.
04:05 [LAUGHTER]
04:07 Yeah, man.
04:08 All you need is a bum rush.
04:09 Set things right.
04:10 Kira, Radcliffe, why wasn't she secured?
04:13 Because I told them I would melt their faces if they touch me.
04:16 There'll be no face melting here.
04:19 Oh, we'll see about that.
04:20 We have accounts of portals bridging
04:22 this place in Nilfgaard.
04:24 Vilgefortz's portals.
04:26 Vilgefortz.
04:28 There's an unnatural fog in the bay.
04:30 What do you mean?
04:31 Someone's using magic to conceal ships.
04:33 Don't you see?
04:35 It's a Redanian army.
04:36 Kick that fog's ass.
04:37 [LAUGHTER]
04:38 Go wave your sword at a girl.
04:39 [LAUGHTER]
04:40 [LASER FIRE]
04:47 Let's go.
04:49 Break the binding spell.
04:50 She spurned you for what you had to do at Sodden Hill.
04:53 They're moving closer.
04:55 Shut him up.
04:58 Where's Balagur Grimm?
04:59 That guy's going to get it.
05:00 Balagur Grimm.
05:01 Where's Balagur Grimm?
05:02 He's here for now.
05:03 Where's Balagur Grimm?
05:04 Balagur Grimm.
05:05 Rise, brotherhood.
05:06 To Redania.
05:08 Oh, damn.
05:11 I'll just tell you where we've taken her.
05:14 To my fist.
05:15 I've got 50 men coming on those boats.
05:19 Best I've run them's a barber surgeon.
05:22 Aw.
05:24 Geralt could take 50 men.
05:27 I should have known better, friend.
05:29 No, you should have paid more attention, friend.
05:32 Like a Magic the Gathering game happening around them.
05:35 We'll take it from here to here.
05:38 Don't ever come back here.
05:41 That's who you're leaving her with?
05:42 That would murder her.
05:44 You're expelled.
05:45 We can take the Redanians out if we unite our chaos and trap them in the tunnel.
05:49 The Scoia'tael will enter this place and burn it to the ground in the name of the White
05:53 Flame.
05:54 Oh, no.
05:55 What are you talking?
05:56 Put it together, Tissaia.
05:58 Come on, you're the most brilliant of them.
06:01 This is our home.
06:02 No, Tissaia.
06:04 This is your home.
06:05 I have my own aims and they no longer include you.
06:09 I got an apartment.
06:11 Stregobor with his pride was easy to set up and you with your undying trust were easy
06:18 to fool.
06:19 I liked you, man.
06:21 Kill him.
06:22 Bilgefortz, please.
06:23 Please do not do this.
06:29 Kill him.
06:30 Why are you just standing there?
06:32 This could be interesting.
06:33 Oh, no.
06:34 Oh, no.
06:35 Today, we reclaim Aratusa as our own and we bring the Elder Blood Princess home.
06:46 And then we read the Half-Blood Prince.
06:53 This means war.
06:55 So metal.
06:56 You will never take Aratusa.
06:57 Archers!
06:58 Now!
07:19 Guys use your like ultimate magic power and just murder them.
07:24 There's got to be like a spell you can do to just like sweep the whole room.
07:28 Yeah.
07:29 We need to get away from this island as fast as possible.
07:35 And what about Peril?
07:37 He'll find us.
07:38 He always does.
07:39 That was wicked.
07:40 That was epic.
07:41 Oh, man.
07:56 Rest in peace.
07:58 All that guy did was defend his sister.
08:00 Filavandrel.
08:01 Constantly defending his sister.
08:04 Oh, no.
08:08 Oh, Fringilla.
08:11 How could you?
08:13 Artorias!
08:14 No.
08:15 Artorias!
08:16 You've got to fight.
08:21 No time to grieve.
08:22 Elven magic.
08:23 Oh, she's going to rain hell.
08:24 We're almost at the stable with this.
08:54 This guy.
08:59 My man.
09:00 Whoa.
09:01 You haven't killed her.
09:02 Your master wants her alive.
09:03 I have no master.
09:04 You sure about that?
09:05 I'm going to remove my sword and to leave it here and back away.
09:16 Right by the camera.
09:17 What?
09:18 That was Resolve fast.
09:28 Yep.
09:29 Badass.
09:30 Yep.
09:31 They're all searching for you, Ciri.
09:34 We have to get off this island.
09:36 It's lost.
09:37 Yeah.
09:38 Not Penny's boat.
09:39 I do like the way this episode is shot.
09:47 It's a lot of moving.
09:48 It's shots.
09:49 Definitely a lot of mood.
09:54 I really don't like this guy.
10:07 Did we just become best friends?
10:09 We have to take cover.
10:13 Oh, damn.
10:15 We need more help.
10:25 Good stunts to kill them all.
10:30 Yeah.
10:31 Strad, let that anger out.
10:32 I'm not even rooting for any side.
10:34 I just want bloodshed.
10:35 The doors are magically sealed.
10:42 Not anymore.
10:43 Yeah, there's just like nonstop tracking shots in this episode.
10:46 He's having a heart attack.
10:48 Take him.
10:49 Great.
10:50 Great.
10:51 Great time to have a heart attack.
10:52 You pansy.
10:53 Yeah.
10:54 Damn it.
10:55 Tilda Swinton mage.
10:56 We only wanted to stop Vilgefortz.
10:57 You made your choice, traitor.
10:58 Punish us tomorrow.
10:59 This is our home.
11:00 Let us fight with you.
11:01 For you.
11:02 Dumbledore's army.
11:03 Man, they're just like wrapping up plots and changing plots so fast.
11:10 It's going to be a smooth transition to Liam Hemsworth.
11:13 I'm telling you.
11:14 It's too late.
11:15 No, it isn't.
11:16 We'll keep on fighting.
11:17 No, no.
11:18 Tissaia, it's okay.
11:19 We'll find another way.
11:20 It's okay.
11:21 We need to take it out.
11:22 Tissaia!
11:23 Snap out of it, Tissaia.
11:24 What are you doing?
11:25 I'm trying to save the world.
11:26 I'm trying to save the world.
11:27 I'm trying to save the world.
11:28 I'm trying to save the world.
11:29 I'm trying to save the world.
11:30 I'm trying to save the world.
11:31 I'm trying to save the world.
11:32 I'm trying to save the world.
11:33 I'm trying to save the world.
11:34 I'm trying to save the world.
11:35 I'm trying to save the world.
11:36 I'm trying to save the world.
11:39 What are you doing, Tissaia?
11:40 Are you just going to jump off the roof?
11:43 Rewind time?
11:44 Oh, that could work.
11:45 It's almost over.
11:46 It's almost over.
11:47 It's almost over.
11:48 It's almost over.
11:49 It's almost over.
11:50 It's almost over.
11:51 It's almost over.
11:52 That must hurt so bad to remove an arrow.
11:53 Yeah, especially because you're like ripping stuff with the shape of the heads off.
11:54 The book.
11:55 Tissaia hid it so Vilgefortz won't know.
11:56 If the Orcs traded this off, they'd lie to you, wouldn't they, Tissaia?
11:57 I'll be okay.
11:58 I'm going to get in some of that.
11:59 I'm going to get in some of that.
12:00 I'm going to get in some of that.
12:01 I need you to be okay.
12:09 All the hugs.
12:16 This is bad.
12:17 I can fix this.
12:19 Damn, she got Boromir'd.
12:25 Shoot her with like 50 arrows.
12:28 Make sure that one's dead.
12:32 She's going into the speed force.
12:38 What's wrong, Yen?
12:40 She's summoning Elswell's thunder.
12:43 A spell of last resort.
12:46 Cut my life into pieces.
12:49 Go to her.
12:51 We'll be all right.
12:54 No.
12:55 She has no choice.
12:56 Go to her.
12:57 Go to her.
12:58 I am your density.
12:59 I love you, my daughter.
13:00 Aww, my daughter.
13:01 I'm simply no longer confined to here.
13:02 You know, it is amazing what you can do when you think for yourself.
13:03 You sheeple.
13:04 There's a good chance the girl is in there.
13:05 I'm sure she's in there.
13:06 I'm sure she's in there.
13:07 I'm sure she's in there.
13:08 I'm sure she's in there.
13:09 I'm sure she's in there.
13:10 I'm sure she's in there.
13:11 I'm sure she's in there.
13:12 I'm sure she's in there.
13:13 I'm sure she's in there.
13:14 I'm sure she's in there.
13:15 I'm sure she's in there.
13:16 I'm sure she's in there.
13:17 I'm sure she's in there.
13:18 I'm sure she's in there.
13:19 You know, it is amazing what you can do when you think for yourself.
13:26 You sheeple.
13:27 There's a good chance the girl has already fled the building.
13:28 Take a search party and go.
13:29 Tazia's life's mine.
13:30 Nah, dude, you guys should team up.
13:34 God, this Kha'Zix guy is so annoying.
13:38 What will this last resort spell do?
13:47 It's going to be like a complete annihilation.
13:50 Just total wipeout.
13:51 Yeah, maybe it'll just pull in like a giant bolt of lightning and fry everyone.
13:56 It's like an electrical current.
14:01 What's happening?
14:02 It's alive.
14:03 It's alive.
14:04 Oh, damn.
14:05 She's like storm.
14:06 Yeah.
14:07 Oh, it's just going to wipe out everyone.
14:08 Yeah.
14:09 Badass.
14:25 The book from the mummy.
14:28 This son of a bitch.
14:29 Thank you for the book, but it's not the only thing I want.
14:33 I'll see you soon.
14:35 Damn it, man.
14:39 What do you call the spy master when all of his spies have fled?
14:43 A master.
14:44 He's dead.
14:45 Turn and look the other way.
14:48 Yeah.
14:49 There you go, Hedwig.
14:50 Dude, that owl is your ride or die.
14:54 We must move.
14:56 Tissaia's using Alza's thunder.
14:58 It will kill anyone she lays eyes on.
15:02 Pick him up by the other side.
15:05 Not until we get some distance from Tor Lara.
15:07 Good thing you enjoy pain.
15:09 Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
15:12 Oh, fair enough.
15:14 Kinky.
15:15 All right.
15:17 Very cool.
15:18 To get down there.
15:26 My God, Geralt, I swear to God, if you do not murder this guy.
15:30 Lesnar coming back from this.
15:32 Back to what?
15:33 To my home he burned.
15:34 He's haunted my nightmares ever since.
15:35 I'm not afraid of him anymore.
15:36 I'm not afraid.
15:37 Cry, Ciri.
15:38 I do not wish to fight you.
15:39 Pick it up.
15:40 Pick it up.
15:41 Be a man.
15:42 In the attack in Cintra, when I took you, I did everything I was asked with no hesitation,
16:03 but now I can't stop asking questions.
16:06 I can't give you back the life I stole.
16:09 Whoa.
16:10 My life is yours.
16:11 Take it.
16:12 You took everything from me.
16:13 Take this blade and let yours be the last face I see in this world.
16:14 The light of Cintra.
16:15 She is the light of Cintra.
16:16 I am the light of Cintra.
16:17 I am the light of Cintra.
16:18 I am the light of Cintra.
16:19 I am the light of Cintra.
16:20 I am the light of Cintra.
16:21 I am the light of Cintra.
16:22 I am the light of Cintra.
16:23 I am the light of Cintra.
16:24 I am the light of Cintra.
16:25 I am the light of Cintra.
16:26 I am the light of Cintra.
16:27 I am the light of Cintra.
16:28 I am the light of Cintra.
16:29 I am the light of Cintra.
16:30 I am the light of Cintra.
16:31 I am the light of Cintra.
16:32 I am the light of Cintra.
16:33 I am the light of Cintra.
16:34 I am the light of Cintra.
16:35 I am the light of Cintra.
16:36 I am the light of Cintra.
16:37 I am the light of Cintra.
16:38 I am the light of Cintra.
16:39 I am the light of Cintra.
16:40 I am the light of Cintra.
16:41 I am the light of Cintra.
16:42 I am the light of Cintra.
16:43 I am the light of Cintra.
16:44 I am the light of Cintra.
16:45 I am the light of Cintra.
16:46 I am the light of Cintra.
16:47 I am the light of Cintra.
16:49 Go.
16:50 Never mind, no killing.
16:51 Yeah, I could be useful right now, actually.
16:54 She is aging rapidly fast.
17:01 You know, you really should take breaks so that your hair doesn't get fried, though.
17:04 No!
17:05 God damn it.
17:08 You will not take what is ours.
17:11 She can deflect 'cause she's Elven.
17:12 You have no choice.
17:14 Go, child!
17:15 You...
17:17 mongrels!
17:18 I'll show you the way.
17:21 Of course.
17:22 Go.
17:24 I'll buy you some time.
17:26 I've been waiting for this moment.
17:28 All my life.
17:30 Set them ablaze.
17:32 Everyone's just dabbling in fire magic when they're not supposed to.
17:35 Help me move this.
17:37 A well-timed creature battle?
17:43 Is no one concerned about Jaskier?
17:46 I haven't thought about him since that first scene.
17:49 I can help you.
17:50 Never lost, always found.
17:52 Go.
17:53 Who's he gonna fight?
17:54 Vilgefortz, maybe?
17:57 Or a beast?
17:58 I think it's gotta be a beast.
17:59 Just some random beast.
18:00 So, we have an epilogue, then.
18:11 My man.
18:14 My man.
18:15 The denouement that draws the plague...
18:17 to a close.
18:20 Or is it fate?
18:23 Damn, this guy's full-on villainy now.
18:27 I know, he's like, full mustache twirlin'.
18:29 And there is no way out.
18:31 I'm glad to hear it.
18:33 That means there's only one way in.
18:36 And you'll never reach it.
18:38 You're a wise man, Geralt.
18:40 That he is.
18:41 I grow tired of asking.
18:43 And I grow tired of answering.
18:45 I will not be your partner.
18:47 I will not join your fight.
18:49 This Q&A is over.
18:50 Arrogance will be your undoing.
18:52 Look at the atmosphere.
18:55 As to you,
18:56 who you are.
18:57 God, everyone just wants to recruit Geralt today.
19:02 You like my stuff?
19:08 You wanna touch it?
19:11 You wanna touch it?
19:12 Know what the hardest part was?
19:16 Knowing I could take any life.
19:18 It was...
19:20 Exasperating.
19:21 I can imagine.
19:22 Today I hold back no more.
19:24 Great choreography, damn.
19:29 Yeah.
19:30 Fight the camera all over.
19:32 Point Vilgefortz.
19:39 Die, abomination!
19:41 No.
19:45 Wow.
19:46 Oh, no.
19:47 She's gonna need some serious hair dye.
19:48 No magic will return my hair to its natural auburn.
19:52 Peace.
20:05 Yes.
20:06 Make a friend of this pain, Geralt of Rivia.
20:09 Today...
20:10 Ouch.
20:12 You begin your new life.
20:15 As my warning to the continent.
20:18 Oh, no.
20:20 This was supposed to be a lesson.
20:23 Thank you, sir.
20:26 May I have another?
20:27 I shall see you later.
20:29 One day.
20:32 Perhaps.
20:36 Well, I let him live.
20:38 Left him with the shame of defeat.
20:40 Damn, he looked paralyzing.
20:44 I guess so.
20:45 There's gotta be some magic residue on that.
20:47 Shattered his spinal cord, in a way.
20:49 Is it a monolith?
20:54 Touch it.
21:00 What are you trying to tell me?
21:02 I can hear you.
21:04 I can hear you.
21:05 Whoa.
21:11 Into the Spider-verse.
21:12 I understand.
21:14 I understand.
21:15 What are you doing?
21:17 You don't know what you're playing with, Cirilla.
21:20 Huh?
21:22 Can't tap into the multiverse.
21:24 You are not ready for this kind of power.
21:26 We can change this continent.
21:31 Relax.
21:32 Sweet.
21:35 Ciri is all-powerful.
21:41 And as omnipotent as the crashing waves.
21:44 How did he get in the water?
21:46 He rolled.
21:47 Can you hear me?
21:59 Oh, everyone gather around.
22:01 Monolith.
22:07 Tearing it all down for the monolith.
22:10 Oh, damn.
22:14 Not bad.
22:16 That was a really fun, cool episode, guys.
22:19 It was.
22:20 Let's watch the next one.
22:21 All right, jumping right into episode three by seven.
22:25 [music]
22:34 Heh.
22:35 [music]
22:38 Right.
22:39 Cool sigil, too.
22:41 I want that on a necklace.
22:43 [music]
22:49 Hey.
22:51 What has been going on?
22:53 I came looking for my guards.
22:54 I thought I'd seen the last of you.
22:56 That was the plan.
22:57 This might have been more effective if the very last time wasn't them in a gutter.
23:03 Yeah.
23:04 Immediately finds them.
23:05 Deekstra and Philippa weren't the only ones scheming at Thanedd.
23:08 They suspect Vilgefortz conspired with Nilfgaard,
23:11 and Emmervar Emreis took the whole continent by surprise.
23:14 We have to get you out of here.
23:15 You look so angelic in that light.
23:17 There's a ship that's in Mertha.
23:19 It will get you as far as Oxenfurt.
23:21 I have some friends there with a safe house.
23:23 Give them this.
23:24 It will get you to the capital.
23:25 Come with me, then.
23:26 Come with me now.
23:28 You should find Geralt first.
23:30 I saw that tower explode.
23:31 Felt it like a shockwave.
23:33 Probably been transported to another dimension.
23:35 Witch!
23:36 Bard!
23:37 [music]
23:40 They're friends now?
23:41 You son of a bitch.
23:43 [music]
23:47 The rain, if I'm boxing, enroach me.
23:50 Are we back in Brokilon Forest?
23:52 Apparently.
23:53 [speaking in a foreign language]
24:00 Is it the people that I think Ciri was with in the first season?
24:02 Yeah.
24:03 [speaking in a foreign language]
24:08 It is not a waste, Wimbled.
24:10 Your friend the sorceress left this for you.
24:13 It is fantastic makeup.
24:15 [panting]
24:20 Pop it back in.
24:21 [thunder]
24:22 Geralt!
24:23 [thunder]
24:24 [thunder]
24:25 This is no normal desert.
24:27 [thunder]
24:29 Yeah, what is all that sound bouncing off of?
24:31 Geralt would say to set the bone back into the joint.
24:34 Probably must have something about hardship,
24:36 building character, and then eat it.
24:40 [screaming]
24:42 Ouch.
24:43 Okay.
24:44 Taught her how to do that.
24:46 [panting]
24:48 This is one of the most excruciating looking things
24:51 as per movies and shows.
24:53 Comment below if you've ever had your arm popped out of the socket.
24:56 [speaking in a foreign language]
24:59 [thunder]
25:04 Wild hunt.
25:06 [thunder]
25:07 Hello?
25:09 It's okay.
25:10 Make friends with the Fremen.
25:11 Learn to ride the sandworm.
25:13 [panting]
25:17 This does look excruciating.
25:19 [thunder]
25:23 That's a little sunscreen.
25:24 It's that headache cream they sell on TV.
25:27 [thunder]
25:31 That's some kind of salt or something.
25:34 Your hand's been in the sand.
25:36 Coconut oil.
25:38 [thunder]
25:39 That makes sense.
25:41 [thunder]
25:43 Someone will pick it up, John.
25:45 Take your clue with you.
25:47 [music]
25:58 I would love it if she just died.
26:00 [snort]
26:02 Because right here.
26:03 [thunder]
26:08 Oh, no.
26:10 How is that possible?
26:12 This is all a mirage.
26:13 She's trapped in a giant hourglass.
26:15 [thunder]
26:16 I know there's someone out there.
26:18 Show yourself!
26:20 I will find you and follow you right out of this desert.
26:23 Follow yourself.
26:25 [music]
26:28 [splashing]
26:31 Glycerine.
26:33 It's like one of those strange, isolated horror movies.
26:36 Yeah.
26:37 It's just really thick water they give to people who have trouble swallowing.
26:41 [screeching]
26:44 [thunder]
26:49 Whoa!
26:51 Cool.
26:52 [thunder]
26:55 That was a close call.
26:56 You're a unicorn.
26:58 Yennefer said you were real, but I never believed her.
27:00 You saved me.
27:02 How could you not believe a unicorn was real after everything you've seen?
27:05 [screeching]
27:07 Wait!
27:09 This is very scary.
27:11 Where did you go?
27:12 Little horse!
27:14 Whoa.
27:16 [music]
27:20 Wait!
27:22 Come back so I can eat you.
27:23 [splashing]
27:26 Food.
27:27 This is going to be good.
27:28 [panting]
27:31 [chewing]
27:34 Can't wait for Mama Lizard to come out.
27:36 There's certainly no way for a princess to behave.
27:39 [gasp]
27:41 Madre.
27:42 The people in your life, they all want to do their best by you,
27:45 but it's not enough, I'm afraid.
27:47 Don't play stupid, Cirilla.
27:48 You know this.
27:49 What a terrible vision.
27:51 Why are you saying all this?
27:52 I can only imagine how relieved Geralt was to see you run into that tower.
27:56 You abandoned me!
27:58 You went on that boat, and you didn't take me with you!
28:01 Aw.
28:02 [screeching]
28:05 Conversation's over.
28:06 I see you, little--
28:08 [screeching]
28:14 Yeesh.
28:15 That's cruel.
28:16 I think I have the power to change things.
28:19 You're not the first person to feel that way.
28:21 But you, my friend, you could be the last.
28:27 Maybe you're the first one who can actually make those changes.
28:30 What is the point of this?
28:32 I'm not sure yet.
28:34 To slow the pace down and make us wonder.
28:37 [music]
28:41 A horse can lead you to water, but it can't force you to drink.
28:45 Chaos.
28:47 The water.
28:49 There's a vein here.
28:50 [music]
28:54 Chocolate milk.
28:56 That's what good leaders do.
28:58 They stand up to the enemy.
29:00 You've hidden yourself away all this time.
29:03 You've done nothing.
29:04 You led into a cycle of violence.
29:06 You let history repeat itself.
29:08 There you go.
29:09 That's how you stand up.
29:10 Do you really think that someone like you could change things
29:15 where countless others have failed?
29:17 Even forming her own identity, Cirilla.
29:21 [screeching]
29:25 Punch that calanthi rock.
29:27 I should have been queen, but when my father denied me my royal destiny,
29:31 I decided to rally the common folk,
29:33 and with their help, I took back what was rightfully mine.
29:37 This is her.
29:38 I've heard that story.
29:40 Fitting, since in the end they tied me to a stake and burned me alive.
29:46 Oh, damn.
29:48 Hey.
29:49 To stop shaming myself for what I could not control.
29:52 You want to change the system, Princess Cirilla?
29:56 I mean, yeah.
29:57 Burn it to the ground.
29:59 [screeching]
30:02 Then create a new system, and someone else will burn that to the ground.
30:05 Something's not right.
30:07 I can sense something.
30:09 [screeching]
30:14 Oh.
30:17 Oh, shit.
30:20 Wowee.
30:22 [screeching]
30:30 No!
30:32 [screeching]
30:40 Use it as a shield.
30:42 [screeching]
30:47 Damn.
30:49 Now eat it.
30:51 Oh, no.
30:53 That's messed up.
30:54 That's heartbreaking.
30:56 [screeching]
31:01 Oh, buddy.
31:03 Come on now.
31:05 We have to move to survive.
31:08 All right.
31:09 That did help.
31:10 Thank you for the bandage.
31:11 [laughing]
31:12 Shh.
31:14 I'm going to take a look now.
31:16 Right here.
31:19 That's not gotten better at all.
31:21 [screeching]
31:27 Jesus Christ.
31:29 I'm not helpless, but there is nothing out here I have nothing to draw from.
31:33 I thought you said magic is everywhere.
31:37 I get back to that tree where the force took you with the water.
31:40 It's forbidden.
31:41 By who?
31:42 Yennefer said it's dangerous.
31:43 This is one good thing you can do with your power.
31:45 Otherwise this creature, your friend, will die.
31:49 There's no question about it.
31:50 Use it.
31:51 [screeching]
32:00 Maybe this is the whole point.
32:02 The elf has set all this up.
32:03 Maybe.
32:05 Just to get a powerful fire user on hand.
32:07 [screeching]
32:13 Oh, the fire did just cauterize the wound.
32:15 I guess so.
32:17 Maybe we can flex it just a little bit so it chars up whatever poisonous aspect might be in there.
32:23 [screeching]
32:28 Let's rock and roll.
32:29 Back 100%.
32:31 History repeating itself.
32:33 Except it isn't a curse.
32:35 It's a gift.
32:36 One they either wish to use you for or destroy you for.
32:40 It can be a gift depending on how you wield it.
32:42 You will change everything!
32:47 [screeching]
32:49 I will fry the man into the fire.
32:53 Embrace the fire.
32:55 You are the keeper of the Opoyoloko flame.
32:58 [screeching]
33:00 Your wrath is righteous.
33:02 Your revenge is justice.
33:05 [screeching]
33:08 You will always be their pawn.
33:10 Not Yaskir.
33:12 You don't need anyone.
33:15 Feel the pleasure of release.
33:20 Interesting frame.
33:22 This is your power.
33:24 Magic is your power.
33:26 Your destiny.
33:28 I don't want it.
33:31 Please, stop.
33:34 I relinquish my powers.
33:37 [music]
33:39 It's hot, all right.
33:40 How can you be sure she's the one?
33:42 Have you seen many an ashen-haired, green-eyed whelp
33:44 on the edge of the desert?
33:45 You dickless knobhead.
33:46 This is the girl he's looking for.
33:48 You two, pick her up.
33:49 The f***ing unicorn brought them here.
33:51 Traitor.
33:52 I'm a friend of Geralt's.
33:53 The White Wolf.
33:55 Gwynblaed!
33:56 Please.
33:57 A charity came in.
33:59 [screeching]
34:01 [humming]
34:03 [singing]
34:08 Is he making this up?
34:10 [singing]
34:19 Wild Blathanna.
34:21 Nope.
34:22 It's a classic lore song.
34:23 But he knows the language.
34:25 Head is our due.
34:27 He needs you.
34:28 Don't lag behind.
34:29 Now do for him what you just did for all of us.
34:31 There's this village outside Ragavin,
34:34 and they've faced it to the ground.
34:38 They were willing to kill everyone to find her.
34:42 Jeez.
34:43 Apparently at work,
34:45 the Emperor announced the celebration.
34:48 She's on her way to Nilfgaard.
34:50 That's all the medicine I needed.
34:54 Rage.
34:58 Witcher montage.
34:59 Training montage.
35:01 Damn.
35:04 I wanted that training montage.
35:09 Yep.
35:11 I think that was her singing.
35:19 Maybe the credits made it.
35:20 Was it?
35:21 It sounded kind of like her,
35:22 but I could be wrong.
35:23 Freya Allen.
35:27 Well, in her capture,
35:29 she will unleash her power.
35:31 Bigger and brighter than ever before.
35:34 And then there'll be like Geralt or Yennefer,
35:38 and it'll be like, "Ciri, calm down,"
35:39 and hugs her before she fully succumbs to the dark side.
35:42 Yeah, and then from there,
35:43 she'll have a perfect balance of everything.
35:45 This is paced weirdly.
35:48 The first episode of this was a banger
35:52 of an action set piece
35:54 with some fast-moving plot turns and changes
35:57 and some resolution and cliffhangers.
36:01 It was kind of just moving.
36:02 It was like, "All right, this is fast,
36:04 but it's entertaining,
36:05 and it's got some great visuals
36:07 and some awesome camera work,
36:09 and I really enjoyed it."
36:12 And then the second episode,
36:14 Netflix designs their shows to be binged,
36:17 but I don't really feel like this was a great corner
36:19 to watch these two immediately back-to-back
36:22 because then the second episode goes,
36:24 "Now let's really slow this shit down so much."
36:29 Let's get contemplative.
36:30 Yeah, let's get some existential pondering dread
36:34 going on here.
36:35 Let's get opaque and sort of vague about stuff.
36:38 Yeah, with your stranded, isolated,
36:43 you know, seeing into the psyche
36:46 with cliche confrontations
36:50 that you have other than the elf coming into the fray.
36:56 That was--I still enjoyed it, though.
36:59 I mean, admittedly, it was a little boring at first,
37:01 but then it got more interesting as it progressed
37:03 once I started getting a sense of where it was going.
37:07 I liked the bond with the unicorn.
37:09 I liked everything about her coming into her own power
37:14 and her own identity as she's being stripped down
37:17 to the pain that she is,
37:20 and it seems like that was the temptation of it all,
37:22 the being lost here in the desert
37:24 and being stripped to such a point
37:26 where she would have to give in in order to survive,
37:29 but she doesn't ultimately give in,
37:31 but I bet she'll give in a tiny bit
37:32 when it comes down to it in the final moments here
37:36 when reunited with Daddy at Nilfgaard.
37:38 So, yeah, I think there's some interesting plot points to come,
37:41 but, you know, it was a cool--it still looked good,
37:48 and I really loved her performance there.
37:50 This was her episode,
37:51 and she completely carried the entire thing.
37:54 I liked the visuals of the creatures there.
37:57 That was pretty awesome to see, and, yeah,
37:59 so it's like contemplative qualities are neat and all.
38:02 I just think it's a little--it's paced a little funny,
38:05 and I think it could have used some intercutting
38:09 between this and something else.
38:11 Just Geralt going, "No, I can't move."
38:14 I mean, you could have maybe intercut, like, Yennefer
38:17 trying to get--well, yeah, and Yennefer, too,
38:19 but, I mean, yeah, that's something.
38:21 Like, I don't know, I respect, on one hand,
38:23 the choice to keep it all isolated.
38:25 Like, it does kind of force you to sort of--
38:29 I don't know, it slightly kind of cuts through everything,
38:32 and it's like, "Oh, okay, like, we're really focusing on this,"
38:34 and it grabs your attention that way,
38:36 but it is also, yeah, such a contrast of pace,
38:39 and it's like the first episode had all this, like,
38:41 crazy fight choreography and all these, like,
38:43 really fluid moving shots and things like that,
38:46 and, like you said, so many things are coming to a head,
38:49 or, you know, the sixth episode, first of this chunk,
38:53 and then, yeah, here, I like--
38:56 it seemed appropriate that the penultimate episode
38:59 of this installment should be, like, heavily dedicated to Ciri
39:02 just because everything going on hinges so heavily
39:05 on her, but, yeah, it's like this could have been
39:08 more unique, and I still don't know how, like,
39:11 the Wild Hunt is going to figure into all this.
39:13 Like, I thought we were going to get back to some of that
39:15 this episode, and, you know, we got one episode
39:19 to touch back on that, if we're even going to do it
39:22 this season, and two, knowing that the next episode
39:26 will be the last one for Henry Cavill,
39:28 it is sort of like, well, now that episode has to deliver
39:31 on, you know, some great moments to send him off with
39:34 because the previous episode certainly showed off
39:37 his physical abilities with a lot of really cool fights,
39:40 and there are a couple moments where, you know,
39:42 the mages are arguing with Dijkstra's people,
39:45 and he's just in the middle being like, "Guys,
39:47 "this fog is rolling in, like, shit's about to hit the fan.
39:49 "You guys better figure out your minds."
39:51 But, yeah, like, it seems like even still,
39:55 the last episode has a lot to accomplish here.
39:58 It was nice to go back to Brachylon Forest
40:00 and see those-- I forget what their race of people
40:02 is called, but to see them again,
40:04 the beautiful makeups, as you pointed out,
40:06 the designs, it's nice to get some slight witchering
40:11 in that there was a creature for her to bludgeon to death.
40:15 I just-- there's so many characters,
40:17 and I only care about, like, two.
40:19 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
40:21 About, like, two to three characters.
40:22 I recognize a lot of people, and everybody's like,
40:24 "Oh, yeah, you. You know, you're all right, I guess."
40:27 Like, that was the one thing about the battle at Artuza
40:29 was I thought it was a cool-looking battle
40:32 with some very neat cinematography
40:35 and some good use of environment.
40:37 Like, I like Tissaia. I do like Tissaia.
40:41 I don't know if I'd be heartbroken
40:42 if Tissaia died or something, but I like Tissaia.
40:45 I was gripped during her big moment.
40:47 Yeah, and I thought they did a great job
40:49 at reestablishing Vilgefortz as his true--
40:52 Vilgefortz, he's his true force.
40:55 Here, we're, you know, like, whippin' Geralt's ass.
40:57 Like, "Oh, okay, yeah, this guy's a real contender.
41:00 He's a real villain."
41:01 Because before, I never always got the impression, like,
41:04 "Ah, I'm sure if him and Geralt went toe-to-toe,
41:06 Geralt would whoop his ass."
41:07 And then you see him in battle and him, like, dropping hints.
41:09 Like, "I've been holding back my power."
41:12 And you see that, oh, he's not just a great mage,
41:14 but he's also a fantastic warrior, too.
41:18 I thought it was an awesome way to establish him as, like,
41:21 "Okay, he is a formidable threat."
41:25 Just overall, the battle between the elves,
41:27 where you don't really--
41:28 like, the season didn't do much for character development
41:31 for the elves.
41:32 No.
41:33 Like, at all, to the point where it got to that battle
41:35 and the brother dying.
41:36 Like, the brother just always shows up to be like,
41:38 "Oh, my sister, I care about my sister."
41:40 You know?
41:41 There's not much substance or nuance really given.
41:45 So when he died, it was, like, a great visual
41:48 where it's the zooming in shot,
41:50 where she looks all normal, he steps in front,
41:52 obvious sacrifice incoming, explosion,
41:55 she's covered in his blood and guts,
41:57 which was a really cool moment.
41:59 But it really did hit me of as much--
42:02 as cool as the visuals are here,
42:04 I don't really have an emotional attachment
42:07 or a vested interest in anyone's side here
42:10 to the point where it's just making for, like,
42:12 fun, cool observation.
42:14 But I don't really feel apparel
42:18 because I don't really care about anyone here.
42:21 - Well, it's so much-- - And it's been such a--
42:23 it's been such a buildup, though, to this fight
42:26 that by the time we got here, it was like,
42:29 "Uh, all right, I-- I just--
42:34 "It's been, like, some political talk,
42:37 "but nothing to really make me really care about the characters
42:40 "unless I'm really factoring in shit from the previous season."
42:44 Well, it seems like they're almost wholesale using season 2
42:48 as all of the motivation and fleshing for the elves.
42:51 Like, you get a little more--
42:53 you get a little expander on Redania
42:55 and, like, Dijkstra and them in this season that helps some,
42:58 and then you have, like, Yennefer's struggles
43:03 with what is going on within the Brotherhood,
43:06 and I feel like those are kind of the biggest pieces of,
43:09 you know, like, context to sink your teeth into,
43:12 and then a lot of other things happen very fast
43:14 and kind of ride off your knowledge of who people have been in the past.
43:17 Like, yeah, it seems like in trying to collide so many things
43:20 and to make it feel like, "Man, just every force is closing in to get Ciri,"
43:24 like, I think there's-- yeah, there's stuff you could have done
43:28 in the text of this season to make those things feel much more graceful
43:32 and, like, you can feel the weight of all these people colliding
43:36 versus just feeling the momentum.
43:38 - The collide and the collapse. - Yeah.
43:40 - You know? - Yeah.
43:41 'Cause you're like, "Oh, wow, man, Carthouse is falling apart."
43:44 Wrecked Carthouse, and they got a monolith here.
43:46 And it just keeps coming back to the emotional association for me
43:50 of, "I don't know why I don't care now.
43:53 I don't know what it is."
43:55 I don't feel like-- that should be something
44:00 that takes a heavy toll on the heart in some capacity.
44:03 And for you guys, if it does, good.
44:06 I'm glad you're getting that loss.
44:10 That's a great thing to feel, the epicness of that.
44:15 Like I said, I'm just finding myself
44:20 just sort of kept at a distance in appreciation of things,
44:24 especially on technical scales.
44:27 But in terms of storytelling, the show's been progressively losing me.
44:31 Yeah, I mean, I feel like in the previous seasons,
44:34 I can remember what Erratuza means and, like, you know, spending--
44:38 we used to spend much more time places,
44:41 and now, yeah, you don't really get to kind of--
44:46 again, it's all riding off your memory,
44:49 because it's a place that certainly has its shadowy,
44:52 murky, problematic details, but it's also home to so many people.
44:56 It's the place where so many people come of age and unlock their power.
44:59 And here, it just feels like one of many places
45:02 people are arguing and fighting.
45:04 And I don't know. You don't need to reestablish everything.
45:08 And I know season two was a change from season one,
45:11 but I remember like Kaer Morhen falling seemed to be like a pretty impactful event.
45:15 And so for as important as Erratuza has been,
45:19 yeah, it's like they mostly gripped with, like,
45:23 a really good immediacy and a good sort of immediate flavor.
45:28 But I don't know, even with the service they do pay
45:33 to the actual sort of, like, reason this is all happening,
45:37 you don't really feel very connected to it.
45:39 Yeah, that's the word, connected.
45:41 Like Fringilla killing her uncle.
45:43 I was like, oh, yeah, they're related.
45:45 Yeah, okay, cool. Yeah, it's okay.
45:47 And I haven't seen her in a while.
45:48 Like, the last time I saw her, she, like, you know, broke free
45:51 and had one meeting with somebody or other.
45:54 I think there's a lot of service given to K'Hira.
45:57 Maybe he's, like, really important in the books,
45:59 but I just don't like him. I don't.
46:03 And I think there's this thing where the show's been trying to make you go,
46:07 I hope there's a turn for this guy.
46:09 I hope there's a redemption for this guy
46:11 or something to make him a complex, interesting character.
46:17 And I'm like, I just think he's annoying.
46:20 I think he's a really annoying, frustrating character
46:23 and not in a complimentary way.
46:26 I was just like, just kill this guy.
46:28 Get him out of the show. He's so frustrating.
46:31 And never in a way where I ever find myself rooting for this guy
46:36 in any sort of direction, you know?
46:38 So him even coming to this moment of, yes, it's my fault, Siri.
46:44 I've been waiting for this, and him willing to give his life.
46:49 It's like, I don't know.
46:51 I don't feel like there's any real true catharsis or reward
46:54 to this moment here for me.
46:56 This should be an oh, shit, like, oh, you know,
46:58 that's completely opposite as to the motivation you've been leading on.
47:01 Yeah, you're no Anakin Skywalker or some bullshit, you know?
47:04 Like, none of these things to me take me like,
47:08 endear to you in a capacity.
47:10 I'm like, no, kill him. He's fucking--he's so annoying.
47:14 And like, they kill off--
47:16 They got Rance here too in like half a second.
47:20 Yeah, that's what I mean.
47:21 All that buildup with him where he was never really
47:23 a threatening guy in this whole season
47:25 and he's like, he's off in a second.
47:27 Well, when they recast him, it just feels like
47:29 everyone checked out on that character.
47:31 Yeah.
47:32 Like, even the actor--no shade, but even the actor
47:35 kind of seemed to have this air of like,
47:38 yeah, I'm not going to be here long.
47:40 I don't even understand how Yennefer threw that sword.
47:42 I guess she must have telepathically done--
47:44 yeah, telekinetically done something.
47:46 Yeah, some magical mumbo jumbo.
47:48 Threw the sword, yeah.
47:50 It's weird. It's like they'll have scenes that feel like
47:52 they should be--that have all the ingredients to equate
47:55 to that rousing quality, but there was just some kind of magic
47:59 about the first and some aspects of the second season.
48:01 Like, the second season, again, gets a bit more modern
48:03 in its sensibility and certainly in its tone of dialogue.
48:06 But I feel like both of those at least managed to, again,
48:09 make the map feel fleshed out and pay enough service
48:14 to the actual substance versus the action to like,
48:18 at least, I don't know, give everybody enough flavor
48:21 that you could differentiate and kind of keep track
48:23 and care to do so.
48:25 Whereas now it feels sort of like, you know, Geralt, Yennefer,
48:29 and Ciri are sort of like, as long as you got track of them,
48:32 you know, you'll kind of be fine.
48:34 And even with them, I like them being the family.
48:36 I like that that's what they have to fight for.
48:38 However, a lot of that stuff does feel very sort of--
48:42 people really like--I can just feel some kind of like,
48:45 you know, meeting of the non-writers room being like,
48:50 people--this family dynamic is really tracking well.
48:54 Can we like, you know, make that the foreground of things
48:57 and just like, I don't know, there's a sentimentality
48:59 they apply to that that I don't begrudge,
49:02 but that doesn't feel complete and so it feels a little,
49:06 I don't know, shallow or something about--
49:09 Well, also, the other character, the messed up face lady,
49:16 just like--
49:19 Who's been such a threat and such a sinister figure.
49:24 Yeah, it just happens like so fast.
49:27 It's happening so fast and even the justification for the--
49:32 I'm forgetting everyone's name, but bald guy who was stoic
49:36 in the last season but is now like weirdly emotional.
49:39 Yeah, Dijkstra.
49:41 Yeah, him surviving in that moment,
49:44 it was just such an obvious moment like,
49:46 okay, he's obviously going to survive because this one mage
49:49 is like dragging the shit out.
49:51 Yeah.
49:52 But I just--I think there's some like cliche choices
49:56 with an interesting visual once in a while.
49:58 With the acting, everyone seems really committed,
50:00 even Henry Cavill.
50:01 Everyone seems really committed still to their performance
50:04 and I think the performances from our--I think the women
50:07 are actually like the standout performers.
50:10 All of them.
50:11 Like Yennefer and Siri have been great
50:15 and I love the struggle that she brought to her performance
50:19 in the second episode and, yeah, the existential qualities of it,
50:24 but at the same time it is like--it does kind of drag a little bit.
50:30 Yeah, it's like there's--I don't know,
50:33 the levels are sort of all off because, yeah,
50:35 then it stunts the fantasy stuff because then you're just sort of
50:37 trying to orient yourself to it and then when they do check back
50:40 into politics, you're like, okay, I'm a little lost now.
50:43 Well, the writing of the dialogue in the moments in the desert
50:46 were just like this is about as cliche as it gets for this genre,
50:50 for this story of wanderer and loss and confronting demons
50:55 from your past.
50:56 Yeah.
50:57 It's so cliche.
50:59 Here's a core trauma for you, now you've got to push through it
51:02 and tell it off.
51:03 And this beloved person in your memory is now yelling cliches at you.
51:07 Yeah, now healing this unicorn is also going to be a metaphorical act
51:11 of finding your way back to being on the road to recovery yourself
51:16 or something.
51:17 Yeah, it's lost some of that magic.
51:21 And even like when it came to Yaskir and the brother--I forget everyone's name--
51:27 Yaskir and the brother, it's like, all right,
51:30 haven't seen them in a couple episodes,
51:32 and they're having a fallout right at the beginning.
51:34 Okay, fallout, got it.
51:36 And in the next episode they try to treat it like there's been a distance
51:40 between them and the time has passed.
51:42 But the last time I saw you guys, it was you guys together.
51:45 Yeah, so it feels like he's immediately found him conveniently
51:50 rather than making you invested enough that you're not thinking of that.
51:56 Because there's a quality that this part of the season
51:59 has been highlighting to me.
52:00 It feels like one of those moments where it's like they've almost removed
52:03 everything but the most essential beats of each plot line
52:07 because it just feels like they're doing a pivot and they need to wrap
52:10 some shit up so they can make some room for whatever the new stuff is going to be
52:14 and then reestablish that and let that breathe.
52:16 And so having to do this in--I don't know,
52:20 there's an interesting sort of contrast right now.
52:23 We have to see the last episode.
52:24 But this feels like it did kind of get kicked into high gear or something
52:28 after that season break.
52:30 And I don't know now whether to think that those first five episodes
52:34 were conceived sort of in their own particular span of time
52:37 and these were separated or something or what.
52:39 But there's something that does feel very much transitional
52:43 about what they're trying to do here right now.
52:44 True, true, true, yeah.
52:48 I don't know.
52:51 I'll go on with the last episode with an open mind.
52:54 But, man, most of the season's been--I think most people--
52:58 at least people who have been watching--
53:00 the few people who have been watching the videos with us here,
53:03 I feel like most of you guys have been enjoying it,
53:05 which I'm happy for you guys.
53:06 We never want to make you guys not like something.
53:08 Our job is just to share what our opinions are.
53:10 And these are just our opinions,
53:12 and we're not going to try to convince you of what our--
53:15 as much as people call us influencers,
53:17 I'm not going to try to influence your opinion here.
53:20 And I wish that we felt more like what you guys have expressed your feeling.
53:26 But to me, it's more like I enjoy things intermittently,
53:30 and everything has sort of been on a fine level,
53:33 but I think the depth and impact of the storytelling
53:36 has greatly lost a lot of its substance.
53:38 And it just has not changed in this part, too, for me.
53:42 No, they're not adding much more meat to that bone.
53:44 And I think the one with her wandering in the desert
53:48 was meant to convey some kind of particular tone
53:52 and a deeper connection to Siri here.
53:56 And, again, while I thought the acting was great,
53:58 the episode in and of itself was a bit of a slog.
54:02 And I guess it's supposed to be a slog for her.
54:04 It was a bit of a slog.
54:05 And then whenever we got actual dialogue moments,
54:08 it was like, "This is fucking so generic."
54:12 Even the shit with the elf girl, like, what a cool concept.
54:17 But damn, was that like the most generic-ass dialogue you could get.
54:21 It was just so generic.
54:24 And straightforward, yeah.
54:26 There's no oomph to any of it.
54:28 And it was like, "Oh, yeah, get these actors to come back
54:31 "in these visions."
54:32 But, I don't know, like, cool editing and whatever.
54:37 If you've seen anything like--
54:39 This kind of storytelling of isolated and visions
54:43 and traumatic facing the demons from your past,
54:45 it's been done so many times.
54:47 And, like, do something--
54:49 You're a fantasy show. You're an epic fantasy show.
54:52 Do something different here.
54:53 Set in the era that you are, too.
54:55 Yeah, like, there's so many things you can do.
54:57 Yeah, so, yeah, it's fine.
55:01 It's fine. Everything's fine.
55:03 It's fine to pretty cool.
55:05 We'll watch the last episode.
55:07 I always start these hoping that it's going to be great.
55:09 I don't come here hoping--
55:11 It makes my life more enjoyable if I can just enjoy it, obviously.
55:15 Like, I don't want to--
55:16 You don't want to sit here wondering why this isn't working.
55:18 I don't want to dislike--
55:20 I don't want to sit here for 40 minutes to an hour
55:23 just fucking, like, upset or bored.
55:25 You know, I'd rather be here.
55:28 I'd rather be here and enjoy myself.
55:30 So I want to go in liking something, you know?
55:33 So I'm really trying, but it's just--
55:36 The show itself is what's giving me--
55:38 I'm like, "Yeah, I'm checking out."
55:40 And I don't--
55:42 Even my morbid curiosity of Liam Hemsworth is making me go,
55:46 "I don't think I ever want to see it."
55:47 Honestly, I'm just like--
55:49 I feel like I'm done with this show after the last episode.
55:51 That's just where I'm at.
55:53 After the last episode of this, I'm like,
55:54 "I don't really care to see the Liam Hemsworth one
55:57 "because this whole season has been making me lose it."
55:59 You know?
56:00 Well, yeah, and for whatever casting changes,
56:03 what's going to happen with the writing moving into that new season?
56:06 Yeah, and if that writing is not getting any better,
56:08 then I don't care.
56:10 Plain and simple, I don't care.
56:12 And I will watch a Liam Hemsworth clip on my own television.
56:16 Sure.
56:17 Just to see.
56:18 Yeah.
56:19 Who knows?
56:20 Maybe that one clip will bring you back.
56:21 Yeah, fuck it.
56:22 But guys, what have you been thinking about Witcher season 3?
56:25 Have you been enjoying it?
56:26 Leave your thoughts down below.
56:29 Did you really like these last couple episodes?
56:31 Be honest.
56:32 Just please be honest.
56:33 That's all we ask, is honesty is the best policy.
56:36 But before we go, let's end this with a page--
56:38 John, you know what to do.
56:43 Chase Gardner, you're a real unicorn, my friend.
56:46 When you showed up, we were like, "Wow, the heavens have blessed us
56:50 with this mystical creature of great import and symbolism."
56:55 And we will follow you through the desert of Patreon and beyond
56:59 into the algorithms that hold the keys to our destinies.
57:03 And I feel like if anybody could give us some kind of
57:06 spiritual, emotional hallucination pep talk, bring our spirits up,
57:11 it's probably you.
57:12 You're often popping in on Patreon shows with enthusiastic
57:16 but straightforward comments.
57:18 And if anything happened in this episode, chances are it was
57:21 pretty straightforward.
57:22 That's the perfect middle ground for you, my friend.
57:25 So, hey, be careful out there.
57:28 Don't get gored by any mystical creatures so that we have to,
57:31 you know, like, smush a bandage on you and call it a day.
57:34 But either way, bud, thank you for your continued love
57:37 and dedication over so much time.
57:39 It actually kind of blows my mind the further we get, you know,
57:41 the fact that you're still here and you still have that same
57:43 enthusiasm I remember from when you joined.
57:46 So be well, my friend.
57:48 We'll catch you next month.
57:49 Catch you next month.
57:50 [music]
