00:00 >> How's good a day from the passing game as you've had here?
00:05 >> I mean, there was some more open guys today that a couple of busted coverages
00:08 and so there's some big ones you guys saw with that.
00:11 But and they blitz a little bit more so when they blitz people are open but
00:16 those balls, there's a lot of sacks there too.
00:19 So it was similar to the other three days.
00:21 I'm very excited to get pads on tomorrow.
00:23 >> You said before that Brandon Iagli is obsessed with football.
00:27 What is he doing that shows you that he is?
00:29 What extra work is he putting in?
00:31 >> I mean, just the way he was all off season, just how much he, I mean,
00:35 just randomly calling and talking about football, how much he's working out,
00:38 how prepared he was when we started in phase one and two.
00:40 You can just tell he's excited.
00:42 The questions he asks, he's just, he's really into it.
00:44 >> What have you learned about Sam Garneau through these opening practices?
00:49 >> I mean, pretty much everything we knew throughout OTAs.
00:52 I mean, he's a very talented guy.
00:53 Everyone's really liked working with him.
00:55 I think the teams loved him.
00:57 He's doing some good things out there and
00:58 getting more and more comfortable each day.
00:59 >> In your first four practices, Brandon Allen has 37 snaps.
01:05 That's a fair amount for a number four quarterback.
01:09 You've got Garneau learning a new system that you and John have said a lot.
01:13 The trainee needs as much snaps as he can get because he hasn't played a lot of
01:18 football, so why are so many snaps going to your number four quarterback?
01:23 >> Two of the days he's the number three quarterback.
01:24 >> Right, but I think just overall,
01:28 37 snaps is a decent amount for a number four.
01:33 >> You think that is?
01:34 >> Based on your previous training camp.
01:38 >> Yeah, he earned them in OTAs.
01:40 He did a good job in OTAs.
01:41 And today he was the third quarterback, so he got all the three reps.
01:45 Two of these four practices, which is a good amount.
01:49 The other guy's been split in the one and twos, and
01:51 it'll bump down when we have four out there more.
01:54 >> Are you considering, I mean, is there a scenario where you keep four quarterbacks?
01:59 >> I have no idea.
02:00 I mean, there's always types of scenarios, but I'm just excited to get pads on
02:04 tomorrow and start playing a little bit more football.
02:06 So it's about 30 days away, so we'll see how it unfolds.
02:10 >> Will Trent put the pads on today?
02:12 >> What's that? >> Will you put the pads on today?
02:13 >> No, I'm not allowed to.
02:15 You gotta get four practices in before we do it.
02:17 >> Trent Williams today?
02:19 >> That day, yeah.
02:22 >> Is he going to be able to do that?
02:23 >> No, his abductor's a little tight, or his groin's a little tight, so
02:27 we're just being smart with him.
02:28 >> What's the feedback you've gotten from Johnny Holland on your two draft picks at
02:33 linebacker, Jalen Graham and Dean Winters?
02:36 >> He's excited about them.
02:37 I mean, they've been running around out there a bunch.
02:39 Being able to get some OTA reps and things like that was great for him.
02:43 These four practices have been similar to OTAs, not having pads on.
02:46 And you get to learn a little bit more about the linebackers and
02:49 a lot of guys on our team once we put the shoulder pads on tomorrow.
02:52 >> There's a lot of players running around out there, but
02:54 have you noticed Spencer Wagee and what he's been able to get done?
02:58 >> Who's that?
02:59 >> Spencer Wagee.
02:59 >> Yeah, I mean, he's just starting and going, but it's so early for
03:03 everybody that we're not quite there yet.
03:06 We haven't met as a staff to even go over personnel or anything.
03:08 We're in day four of our installation, and I really don't try to get too many
03:13 opinions at all, high or low, especially once we don't have the pads on.
03:17 So when we get those tomorrow,
03:19 he'll have a better chance to stick out more and more, but still early.
03:22 >> What did Davis Price need to do to improve after his rookie year,
03:28 and have you seen steps?
03:30 >> Yeah, I think he's already done it.
03:31 I mean, I think he's taken a huge jump since last year.
03:33 I mean, just the conditioning that he put in in phase one and
03:36 two, what he did these 40 days away.
03:37 Just how good he was the first day we saw him in terms of his stamina,
03:41 how he's running, understanding the offense, what we want out of him more.
03:44 I thought he had a great OTAs, and he's come back, and
03:47 and he's even having better training camp.
