Tuskegee University Point Guard Gregg Boyd at the NBPA HBCU Top 50 Camp
Transcript
00:00 >> All right, Greg, the biggest thing that attracted me to your game today,
00:04 you left a nice game with your free throws.
00:06 Also, you go ahead and make plays, you know, show the challenge.
00:08 How important can it show like, hey, you have that clutch too,
00:11 you can finish the fundamental plays?
00:13 >> Well, that's part of being a point guard.
00:16 You know, like in the clutch, your point guard gotta be able to knock down those
00:21 free throws.
00:22 As a coach, I feel like your point guard is the main person you rely on down the
00:28 stretch, so I felt like I had to make them free throws.
00:32 >> Absolutely.
00:33 Now, of course, you don't play because you missed today, but you definitely had
00:36 some moments.
00:37 What allowed you to kind of get so comfortable and deal with the games?
00:40 >> Well, I've been playing basketball for a long time, and I feel like personally,
00:46 I could have played better.
00:48 Even though I made some plays and all that, I feel like I could have did more.
00:53 >> Last question for me.
00:55 This is the top 50 camp, the best players in black holes basketball.
00:58 How does it feel to be one of those 50?
01:00 >> Oh, it's a, really, it's an honor for real.
01:05 I done put in hard work, blood, sweat, and tears.
01:09 So shoot, it's a great honor to actually be recognized in the top 50.
01:15 >> Appreciate you.
