00:00 And now, Joe, it gets even deeper.
00:03 ACC's been kind of quiet with everything
00:06 that's been going on.
00:08 And Florida State had a board meeting today
00:12 where the president, Richard McCullough,
00:15 starts getting into viewership numbers about Florida State
00:19 and how many people watch Florida State games
00:21 and began to discuss the existential crisis of the ACC
00:25 revenue gap.
00:27 He goes on and on.
00:29 Obviously, we're not satisfied with our current situation.
00:32 Hard for us to figure out how we remain competitive
00:35 unless there's a major change in the distribution of revenue
00:40 in the ACC.
00:43 And it goes-- more guys spoke.
00:46 It's out there now, Joe.
00:47 And they have a--
00:48 ACC, the thing with the grant of rights.
00:50 Can these teams actually leave before 2035 or whatever it is?
00:55 But it's no secret Florida State and Clemson
00:58 and North Carolina and Miami, obviously,
01:01 kind of to an extent, too, feel that they bring the people
01:06 and everybody else doesn't.
01:08 That's kind of what it comes down to.
01:10 Well, where's the tsunami monitor?
01:13 Because it's coming.
01:14 The water's starting to rise, Carver.
01:16 And Florida State and Clemson are starting to get set to bolt.
01:21 You could see that happening a mile away right now.
01:23 And Miami wants to attach themselves with UNC.
01:27 But at the end of the day, it's Miami--
01:30 excuse me, Clemson and Florida State, one and two,
01:32 then maybe Miami and then North Carolina
01:35 in that potential order.
01:36 So where are they going to go?
01:38 They're going to go most likely to the SEC
01:41 or most likely to the Big 12.
01:43 Or do we see another conference come out of nowhere?
01:46 I mean, only time will tell.
01:48 But if you're the SEC and Sankey,
01:50 you've got to be licking your chops,
01:52 saying we'll take those four as well.
01:54 We'll set at 20.
01:57 Well, that's what I was going to say to you next.
01:59 If all this stuff we just talked about with the Big 10 happens
02:04 and they push their number to 20,
02:06 does that necessarily mean that the SEC is going to go,
02:10 oh, we're going to get to 20 also,
02:12 and we're going to beat you to Florida State, Clemson?
02:15 Yeah.
02:16 Because I think you've always thought
02:17 that that was a natural fit for the SEC,
02:21 was to have Clemson and to have Florida State involved.
02:23 You know Miami would want to be a part of that as well.
02:27 It's just weird.
02:28 We're going to get to what we thought.
02:30 Two years ago, we sat here and said,
02:32 eventually there's going to be two 20-plus team
02:35 super conferences.
02:36 And we're not too far away from it actually happening.
02:38 Right.
02:39 And you brought it up on the radio show
02:41 last night in terms of the logistics for the SEC.
02:45 Everything is basically on the right side of the map, right?
02:49 Up and down the coast.
02:50 They're not going west.
02:51 Right.
02:52 So now you add Clemson in South Carolina, right?
02:55 And that rivalry, you keep it there.
02:58 You have Miami and Florida State with that rivalry.
03:01 You have everything logistically on the right side of the map.
03:04 You have potentially the strongest conference.
03:07 Your teams don't have to travel to wear themselves out.
03:10 So you might have three, four, or five teams
03:13 throughout a regular season in a 12-team playoff.
03:16 They're going to solidify themselves
03:19 for the next 10 to 15 years.
03:21 There's going to be nothing more the SEC will
03:24 need to accomplish if they get those four teams.
03:27 There really isn't.
03:29 It's amazing.
03:30 Can't wait to see how this continues to shake out, Joe.
03:34 You know what the outlier is, though?
03:35 Two 20-team super conferences.
03:36 You know what the outlier is?
03:38 Your team.
03:39 The one with the Kelly Green.
03:41 You know that.
03:42 And they're holding--
03:43 I know that.
03:44 They're holding the biggest pot of gold
03:46 right now because whichever--
03:48 once these initial moves take place,
03:51 then you're going to see Notre Dame potentially align
03:53 themselves with the conference.
03:55 And I guarantee you, it's not going to be the ACC.
03:59 No, it's one of the two.
04:01 It's the Big 10 and the SEC.
04:03 That's what it comes down to at that point.
