00:00 So it's National Play Day, it's the day of playing each year, so it's on the first Wednesday of every August
00:07 to celebrate playing, as you can hear some of us playing on African drums.
00:11 I've got Anne-Marie here, what was your favourite game to play as a child?
00:15 Well, so I grew up in Belfast and one of the games we used to play was called Tinker Tin.
00:20 So you would just get a tin can and so we would tinker tin the street and the people behind us would run and hide.
00:26 It's a bit like hide and seek but it's fun and noisy.
00:30 What was your favourite game to play as a child?
00:33 So my favourite game as a child was a game called Alice in the Camel and it's a little song that you sing
00:39 and as you sing it people will join in and link up to your arm.
00:43 So you start with one, Alice in the Camel has one home and you do the one home.
00:47 And then you go to two homes and then you have a friend that will join on and there will be about 30 of you in the playground
00:53 all kind of walking around and singing. Alice in the Camel has so many songs.
00:58 I've never seen anyone play it since. I don't know if it was just a weird thing or maybe a strange thing for us
01:06 but we absolutely love it and we always want to play it now.
01:09 Let's bring back Alice in the Camel.
01:11 Alice in the Camel, yeah.
01:12 What was your favourite game to play as a child?
01:15 Oh goodness, I can't really remember. It's too long ago to remember, that's a good answer isn't it?
