  • last year
Watch the moment Women’s World Cup debutants Morocco realised they’d made it through to the knockout stages of the competition.

The nation had just beaten Colombia 1-0 in their final Group H game and were awaiting the result of the other fixture - South Korea vs Germany - to decide their fate.

A surprise 1-1 draw saw twice former winners Germany crash out of the group, while Colombia advanced to the last 16 as group winners, and Morocco - the second-lowest ranked team at the World Cup - made it through in second.

Moroccan players were seen celebrating wildly on the pitch as the news was confirmed.
