Talking Michigan vs. Ohio State In 2023

00:00 Where do you think this, because if you look on like ESPN, maybe ABC or NB, one of the other big,
00:06 big time networks, Ohio state is like the runaway favorite to win the big 10. And I just cannot
00:12 comprehend why. I mean, like, well, wasn't it Heather? It was Heather Dinnich. It was her list,
00:18 right? She was the one that put it together. I mean, that's one of many, I mean, like if,
00:23 you know, Vegas odds, I think has Ohio state. I'm just like,
00:27 what have they done? That's going to change what happened. I don't understand Ohio state
00:31 Clemson, Bama. That's just the safe. That's the safe route to go and give them credit.
00:37 They have been dominant for so long that like when you're putting together your odds or whatever,
00:42 you know, FPI, whatever the hell it is you're putting together, the metrics you're using,
00:46 those teams are going to be in those positions until a program like Michigan and some other
00:52 programs in the sec, you know, Georgia, for instance, continue to step up and continue
00:58 to dominate. But yeah, it's always Alabama. It's always Ohio state. It's going to be Georgia.
01:03 Michigan's on the cusp of that, but you know, there's still some lingering things out. It's
01:08 been a great phenomenal, uh, two year stretch for the Michigan football program, beating Ohio
01:13 state twice, winning two big 10, uh, championships and then getting the college football playoff
01:18 twice. It's been awesome, but there's still that lingering narrative out there that, uh, you know,
01:24 Michigan can't get it done in the post season. They can't win a bowl game. And I think I saw
01:28 something. And again, it's arbitrary. I don't, you know, put as much stock in it as you want,
01:32 but if, if Michigan loses the bowl game this year, Jim Harbaugh will have the worst or be
01:39 tied for the worst bowl record. Like coaches who have coached like 10 years or 10, almost 10 years
01:46 or whatever the span was. Bottom line is he's got a real terrible post season record that needs to
01:52 be dealt with this year. And I think I even put out an article about it. Like there's nobody that's
01:56 really debating whether or not this is the best team he's had since he's been there. You have to
02:01 get a win in the post season, even if it's a semifinal win and you lose in a national championship
02:06 game, like that's one thing, but you've got to get a post season win this year. If you drop it again
02:11 with arguably the best roster you've ever had, since you've been there, that narrative is going
02:16 to continue to grow. And, and to be honest, there's some teeth to it. Why can't Michigan
02:21 get it done when it matters most? And you can say, you know, I get that TCU,
02:26 Michigan should have been, and was the heavy favorite there. TCU was a good team,
02:32 but there was still no excuse for Michigan to lose that game. We can go back and dissect that
02:37 one and see all the instances where Michigan shot themselves in the foot and a couple of calls
02:41 didn't go the way they wanted. But at the end of the day, like missed opportunity there last year.
02:47 You have to get it done this year. Yeah. And the Ohio state thing again, I just, I would,
02:52 I would love to hear an objective explanation from someone who knows Ohio state in and out,
02:57 you know, somebody like somebody that knows Ohio state, the way we know Michigan, just explain,
03:02 tell me how Ohio state's better than they were last year. I'm dying to hear it.
03:06 They've got questions up front. They've got questions at the quarterback position. I mean,
03:09 there's questions all over that. It doesn't mean they're not going to be good,
03:14 but they look at the schedule, right. They're talented, but they've also got to go to South
03:18 bend and play Notre Dame. Who's going to be wearing those, uh, those, the, what was it?
03:22 Uh, the, the lime green uniforms are bringing out for that. I don't know what the hell color that
03:26 is, but you know, they don't have an easy road either. I just feel like it's one of those things
03:31 where you sit back and you say, okay, Bama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio state. And then we'll
03:36 go from there, regardless of what the talent is, because you just assume that those teams
03:40 are going to be in the hunt.
