00:00 Hey everyone, welcome back to our weekly updates on all things about your favorite stars,
00:04 where you get the best of both worlds. This week we have some stars leaving the show while some
00:08 are making a surprise comeback, with addition to special events and many more. If you want to know
00:13 about it, let's get started right away. After almost 45 years of being on The Young
00:22 and the Restless, joining in 1978, Doug Davidson is officially making his departure from the show.
00:28 If you haven't noticed in the past years, Doug had been voicing out his dissatisfaction with
00:32 The Young and the Restless' higher-ups about how they were treating him. After working 42 years on
00:37 the show, he was put on the recurring status for November 2020, and as the time went by,
00:41 he started coming up on screen less and less. In a series of tweets in 2021, he talked about how
00:47 they were treating him at the show, which was his home for more than four decades. "I find it
00:51 remarkable that after 42.5 years I haven't heard from the network at all. No thank you for your
00:56 service," a phone call, he expressed on Twitter. "I think I am done. After 43 years I am treated
01:02 like a day player, no bueno," he wrote in another tweet. "Everything said, now it's time to say
01:07 goodbyes for real." In his tweet on July 23, he wrote, "Well, I cleaned out my dressing room a
01:13 week ago Saturday. Yes it was sad for several reasons, and the number one reason was because
01:18 it was his home for 40 years and it was like a ghost town." He was still grateful for his time
01:22 and experience, as he wrote, "I owe everything to the Bells." Many fans joined Twitter to show
01:27 their love and support for him. Let us all wish him the best for his future as well.
01:32 If you've been a fan of Melody Thomas Scott, then you know she is a big fan of Lucille Ball.
01:36 This time, with her love for the actress, she is organizing a charity event on Tuesday, August 15,
01:42 in Jamestown, Lucille's hometown. The charity will be held for two very special one-night-only
01:47 events to raise money for the Lucille Ball Little Theater. She took it to her Instagram to let all
01:51 her fans know about the event, as she wrote, "After the event, I'm hosting a VIP meet and greet
01:56 reception which will include a silent auction of some very special Y&R items. All proceeds to both
02:01 events will exclusively benefit the Lucille Ball Little Theater. She is very excited for the event,
02:07 and we believe it's going to be a great success." The Young and the Restless is bringing back the
02:11 infamous muckraker, Leanna Love, back on screen. This stalker-turned-journalist is a gossip
02:16 columnist, which means she can pop back into the story whenever, digging up dirt left and right.
02:21 Looks like she just got a whiff of it. The Young and the Restless official Twitter just dropped
02:25 one hell of a teaser of her return. It's celebration time for her, because according
02:29 to her in the video, she finally got the scoop on what's been going on in Genoa City, and she
02:33 can't wait to share it with all of us. You have to check it out! Right now, Genoa City is filled
02:39 with dirt and scoops. Let's see, there's Phyllis pretending to be dead and facing a murder charge,
02:44 Ashley and Tucker scheming against Jack with Phyllis involved, and the whole Audra, Kyle,
02:48 and Summer affair, and many more. It's gonna be very fun seeing her lurking around to make another
02:53 grand piece. Guess who made a surprise comeback to daytime TV? Michael Corbett, who played the
02:58 crazy villain David Kimball on Y and R Back in the Day. He showed up as Judge Evan Scott on The Bold
03:04 and the Beautiful, handling Sheila's case. The whole thing happened thanks to Y and R's 50th
03:08 anniversary bash, where he reunited with his old pals. Brad Bell, the B in "Be Big Shot," was the
03:14 one who remembered Corbett's soap skills and offered him this judge gig. It was like a sweet
03:18 homecoming and a reunion for him, walking back into the CBS studio and meeting familiar faces.
03:23 And guess what? He's planning to come back for more episodes. For now, Corbett's appearances
03:29 were only limited to July 21st and 24th, but he just hints at more. According to Soap Opera
03:34 Digest, he said, "I fully intend to be reprising. We'll see how they write it and how that unfolds."
03:40 Are you guys excited to have him on The Bold and the Beautiful? Tell us everything in the
03:44 comments below. But before that, let's watch the rest of this video.
03:47 If you've been missing Michelle in Y and R, then don't worry because she is coming back on screen
03:52 with a new project. She just announced that she finished work on her new role. On her Instagram,
03:56 she posted a series of pictures and wrote, "And that's a wrap on Fabienn Lark. I can't wait to
04:01 share more about this project with you. Such a heartfelt, uplifting story. I was so blessed to
04:05 work with these beautiful souls, all so talented and dedicated. Thanks for helping me bring this
04:10 story to life." From the first pictures that we saw, Morgan is seen wearing a gray business suit
04:15 with the name Fabienn Lark, junior associate engraved on the glass office door behind her,
04:19 so it looks like she is playing a smart businesswoman or lawyer again.
04:22 Are you guys excited to see her in full-on acting mode again? Let us know in the comments below.
