00:00 >> Why Oregon?
00:00 What was it about Oregon that made you want to come here?
00:02 >> Yeah, I mean, I think during my recruitment process,
00:05 I was looking for the best overall fit.
00:06 Whether that was having a quarterback, a good offensive coordinator,
00:09 how can they use me?
00:10 How can I fit around the team?
00:11 I think Oregon was the best program in that aspect.
00:14 And then I wanted to come to a program where I can just help them get over the edge
00:16 and win.
00:17 Obviously, Oregon has a good history of winning every year.
00:20 But I wanna be that added piece to them to help them reach their goals to
00:23 the college football playoffs and hopefully win the championship here.
00:28 >> You look at so many new wide receivers, how are you guys kind of gelling and
00:31 how are you working behind the scenes to kind of catch up and get up to speed?
00:34 >> Yeah, I mean, it's a lot of great wide receivers here.
00:36 Leaving the school that I previously was at, everybody's asking me,
00:39 they have a good receiver room here at Oregon.
00:40 And that was one of the reasons I came in here as well.
00:43 You can learn from those guys.
00:45 I was at a program where it was like four or
00:46 five receivers that got drafted and obviously they're doing well in the NFL now.
00:49 But just taking my talent here and the knowledge that I have in this receiver
00:52 room and asking them questions, asking them guys.
00:54 They helped me off the field with the playbook and stuff like that.
00:57 So I'm excited to see how we all chill this season.
01:01 >> How are you feeling for Trey Shawn behind the scenes that we haven't got to see?
01:04 >> I think he's a hard worker.
01:05 I mean, obviously, Trey Shawn, he kind of brought me in to the sideline, okay,
01:09 help me out with the plays.
01:10 And I'm asking him, what do you do here?
01:13 And press release, and he's asking me certain stuff.
01:15 So we can all take little small details from everybody's game and
01:18 put it into our own game.
01:19 >> See, that's tough though, cuz you are competing first.
01:21 I mean, all you are competing is spots, but you try to get that camaraderie and
01:24 work together more so to help each other out.
01:26 >> Right, yeah, most definitely, I mean, we are a team.
01:27 So going throughout the year, injuries may happen or whatever the case may be.
01:31 But I wanted to get as much information from any receiver.
01:34 I think I could take Troy Franklin and put his stuff in my game.
01:37 I mean, I think we got a lot of receivers that's kind of different as far as
01:41 physical size, speed, and stuff like that, what we do.
01:43 But we could take the little stuff that he does good and put it into our game.
01:46 >> Do you consider yourself a fit for outside receiver and slot?
01:49 Kind of what's your preference if you have one?
01:51 >> Yeah, I mean, that was one of the big reasons why I committed to
01:54 the University of Oregon as well.
01:55 Showcasing that I can have the ability to play outside and play inside and
01:58 run different routes in a route tree and not be limited to just playing one
02:02 specific spot the whole game.
02:03 So I think that both spots for me, I'm very comfortable at.
02:07 So I wouldn't say I have one that I prefer over the other.
