00:00 Championship leader Karol Karawoz leading in the top 8
00:03 before making a tiny mistake
00:05 and killing the other contender.
00:06 Oh no!
00:09 They've just caught that wet section on the inside there.
00:13 From the braking I felt that the speed is fine.
00:16 I felt that now it's going to be a, let's say, okay corner.
00:19 We got some mud or something from the rear.
00:23 Full slide, full lock.
00:24 I cannot straighten the car out
00:26 and then from the ditch we hit something really hard,
00:28 bedrock or something, which sent us flying.
00:30 Roddenberry's dramatic exit.
00:32 So Toyota's Elvin Evans and two guys from Sherry Moodle
00:35 battling it out for supremacy.
00:37 Both pushing to claim their second win of the season.
00:40 I'm telling you, I'm just going to do my own thing.
00:43 Another home favourite,
00:44 Esa-Pekka Lapping, who's running solidly in fourth.
00:46 Lost it on stage.
00:48 Oh no, that tyre on the wheel!
00:50 Oh no!
00:51 Oh, EP!
00:53 Oh!
00:54 M-Sport Ford also had a disastrous second day.
00:57 Pierre-Louis Louvet clipped a rock, causing big damage to him.
01:00 While his teammate, Oetanek, suffered a broken engine following an impact,
01:06 forcing him to retire from the event he's won three times before.
01:10 From underneath at the moment,
01:12 I can just see that the starter motor is cracked, so it was broken.
01:16 Other than that, I couldn't find it, it seemed clear,
01:18 but obviously the engine oil seems out and yeah, the engine is clearly broken.
01:23 There were still two Finns in contention though.
01:26 Teimo Sönnen surviving his 52nd outing in the rally.
01:30 Oh!
01:33 He's got away!
01:34 Oh my goodness, how the hell did he get out of that?
01:36 While Toyota's team principal, Yannick Magillac, was running in 5th,
01:42 the most experienced driver in WRC history,
01:45 he's got all his expertise to keep his yaris on the road
01:49 in his one-off return to the top flight.
01:51 It's been amazing, buddy.
01:52 Thank you for giving me from Toyota's side this opportunity.
01:56 It was great fun and now the power stage is exactly what we wanted.
01:59 It was for me the really perfect run and no mistakes.
02:03 Sönnen's life will return to the podium in the rules against Toyota.
02:06 He was flying on the loose gravel of his adopted home car.
02:10 Katsuja retook third place from Sönnen with a fantastic final stage on Saturday.
02:17 Before winning stage,
02:18 Kwecik had pushed the gap to over 7 seconds and a half.
02:23 But at the very top, Evans and co-drivers stumbled,
02:27 hauling them in, taking 10 stage wins
02:31 and a bonus 5 points in the world power stage
02:34 to claim Evans' 7th career WRC victory.
02:38 Yes, it's a maximum 30 points.
02:40 Zero for Kalorov and Pera.
02:42 It's 30 for Elvin and Scotty.
02:44 It's been a really good weekend,
02:46 really fantastic to drive this car.
02:47 Such a joy to be behind the wheel this weekend.
02:50 And yeah, we're really happy for this one.
02:52 So Evans takes his second win of the season,
02:54 Nerville and Katsuta.
02:56 Sönnen on a close fourth and Latvala a fantastic fifth.
03:00 Oliver Solberg took the honours in WRC2
03:03 but wasn't nominated for championship points,
03:05 which go to Sami Pajaro.
03:07 With four events left to run,
03:09 Rov and Pera still leads by 25,
03:11 but both Evans and Nerville are now fully back in contention.
