QLD Police Commissioner defends police after officer shooting of 29-year-old man

Queensland's Police Commissioner has defended her organisation after a man was shot dead by officers last night in Brisbane's north. It's the 11th police shooting in the state in the last 12 months, with Katarina Carroll admitting the statistics are concerning.

00:28 The 29 year old man was wanted on a return to prison warrant and was facing some 47 indictable
00:34 criminal offences.
00:36 Police say they were threatened by the man with a handgun.
00:40 As a result police have discharged their firearms and this 29 year old man is now dead.

00:50 Neighbours say they heard multiple shots fired but weren't alarmed because there's a firing
