Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's Collision Center
00:05 on 1499.3 KLIN.
00:09 Husker football defensive backs coach Evan Cooper spoke Monday and said that every guy
00:13 in his room is going to know how to play every position in the secondary.
00:17 Like I said before, those guys, they're all just DBs.
00:20 I want to get them all ready.
00:21 I might need Malcolm at safety, I might need Quinton at safety at some point.
00:25 I may need Tommy at safety at some point.
00:27 So as much, the more they can do, the more they can do.
00:30 I just want to cross train them and make sure that they know what they're doing.
00:32 If I have to throw a man in an emergency case, something like that.
00:35 Cooper said there's no lack of competition amongst his defensive backs.
00:39 I like to fuel the competitive fire.
00:41 I want them to be competitive.
00:42 I want them to fight nail and tooth and claw and scratch for everything they get.
00:46 I want them to compete at everything.
00:48 Because that's what life is.
00:49 Just showing up and competing, that's it.
00:51 So that's how the room is going and that's what I mean.
00:54 I'm excited about it.
00:55 I'm looking forward to seeing it.
00:56 With this Husker Max practice report, I'm Matt McMaster.
