To mark the special anniversary of the iconic 911 sports car, the engineers in Weissach have designed a highly purist sports car dedicated to sheer driving enjoyment: the 911 S/T. The exclusive anniversary model unites the strengths of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package and the 911 GT3 RS and delivers a unique combination of agility and driving dynamics. It combines the naturally aspirated, 386 kW (525 PS) 4.0-litre boxer engine from the 911 GT3 RS with a short-ratio manual transmission. This is complemented by a resolutely lightweight construction and a running-gear setup optimised for agility and drivability. The 911 S/T weighs just 1,380 kilograms (DIN kerb weight, incl. all fluids), making it the lightest model of the 992 generation. The optional Heritage Design Package draws inspiration from the racing version of the 911 S from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The design of the anniversary model incorporated GT and motorsport expertise from Porsche. This is reflected in its particularly nimble and agile handling, which is designed for maximum driving enjoyment on winding country roads. The reduction of rotating mass both in the engine as well as the wheels and brakes ensures particularly dynamic responsiveness. The S/T responds to driver commands instantaneously. Every steering movement, every ounce of pressure on the accelerator or brake is implemented immediately and with pinpoint precision. Unlike the 911 GT3 RS, the focus of the development of the 911 S/T has been not on track use, but rather for journeys on public roads.

00:16 On a 60th birthday, it's usually a little quieter.
00:19 For us, it's different, with no noise.
00:22 Today, I'm going to introduce you to our anniversary model
00:25 on the 60th birthday of the Porsche 911, the 911 ST.
00:30 The 911 ST is a very puristic model
00:34 with all the genes from the GT world
00:38 and only 1380 kg of weight.
00:42 It's the lightest 911 in the 992 generation.
00:47 We were able to achieve this low weight
00:49 by using various lightweight measures.
00:52 For example, we have the front cover of the GT3 in carbon fibre.
00:57 We also have a specific fender in carbon fibre
01:01 and the door with the very dynamic entrance
01:04 and the roof, also known from the GT3 RS.
01:08 Both again in carbon fibre.
01:11 The roll-over bar is also known from the GT3 RS in carbon fibre.
01:16 And what is very specific for this model
01:19 is the standard arrangement of the magnesium lightweight rims.
01:23 On the front axle in 20 inches, on the rear axle in 21 inches.
01:28 For the absolute driving pleasure and the great response,
01:33 we have a lightweight clutch with a mass-drive wheel in the 911 ST,
01:38 which is 10.8 kg lighter than in a GT3 Touring with a gearbox.
01:45 We took the engine from the GT3 RS.
01:48 It is the well-known 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine
01:51 with 525 hp and 465 Nm.
01:55 On country roads, the 911 ST offers a driving pleasure and a driving behavior
02:01 as it has never been found in any model from the 911 series.
02:06 As always with Porsche, this special model is limited.
02:09 Exactly 1,963 customers are allowed to enjoy
02:12 taking this vehicle for their own.
02:14 Special feature also in the chassis.
02:16 The 911 ST has a double cross-steering axle at the front and a multi-steering axle at the rear.
02:21 For reasons of weight, we have omitted the rear-axle steering,
02:25 which does not affect the driving pleasure, the driving dynamics and the precision of this vehicle
02:29 when driving on a country road at all.
02:32 The driving performance is also guaranteed over any doubt.
02:35 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
02:40 The GT3 RS has aerodynamics at maximum power for the circuit.
02:45 It is different here with the 911 ST.
02:47 We have an aerodynamic balance for sporty and dynamic driving on country roads.
02:54 That's why we have air intakes at the front of the bow.
02:58 According to the regulations, we also have air outlets in the front of the bonnet.
03:04 The wheel house ventilation is from the GT3 RS.
03:09 And if you then go to the rear, you can see the very pronounced diffuser at the bottom of the vehicle.
03:17 And for such a classic car, and I think we all agree, no big rear wing fits.
03:23 That's why we have chosen a disposable spoiler with a gurney on it for the 911 ST.
03:29 The spoiler runs at 130 km/h and then runs back in at 105 km/h.
03:36 Lightweight construction continues in the interior of the 911 ST.
03:40 As standard, we have donated the CFK full-body seats to our special model.
03:46 Here shown with a particularly noble and subtle needle stripe design.
03:51 And we still have the CFK draw handles from the Weissach package of the GT3 RS.
04:00 A particularly beautiful detail are the green elements in the speedometer and in the Sport Chrono watch,
04:08 as we know it from the early 911s from history.
04:13 These beautiful green applications can also be found on the watch that we exclusively offer to customers of the 911 ST.
04:24 It is the chronograph 911 ST by Porsche Design Timepieces.
04:29 We offer the Heritage Design Package as an option.
04:32 We have developed a new exterior color for this purpose, Sean Blue Metallic.
04:36 The new rim color Ceramica also looks very harmonious.
04:41 We have also implemented a special feature in the interior of the 911 ST.
04:46 A bicolor semi-aniline leather upholstery in black and cognac, as well as a roof sky in perforated dynamics.
04:53 I hope you agree with me. A high-speed intake motor with a maximum speed of 9,000 rpm.
05:01 Puristic design, lightweight, agility, spontaneity. A timeless, beautiful design.
05:09 These are the ingredients for our special model on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 ST.
05:18 Porsche Design Timepieces.
