Mayor Debbie Arnott says the upgrade to the Queens and Botanic Road roundabout will be the first of many changes in the area.

00:00 We've received $206,000 from the Federal Government to upgrade this black spot area in Warrnambool.

00:07 It's part of our Pacific Botanic Precinct Plan.

00:13 The project will be moving along Botanic Road.

00:17 This is a really important piece of infrastructure that's being done because we really do need to look at the safety of pedestrians,

00:25 our school children and traffic management as well.

00:28 It is exceedingly busy. We have four schools that feed in and from this roundabout as well as a hospital.

00:35 It's also a main thoroughfare so an exceedingly important piece of work and we do thank the Federal Government for that funding.
