Residents in regional New South Wales are bracing for more wild weather as an intense storm cell sweeps the state. More than 35,000 people remain without power in Sydney and the Greater Hunter after huge storms smashed the state. The Bureau of Meteorology and SES warn there is more to come.

00:00I'm here at Lauriton on the Mid-North Coast where a local bottle shop has just had its
00:06roof blown off from enormous gusts of wind.
00:09The SES, as you can see behind me, are working on top of the roof trying to secure a tarp.
00:15It's understood that the bottle shop was also home to two residential tenants.
00:20Both of those tenants are now in temporary holiday accommodation and fortunately weren't
00:25injured at the time.
00:26In the last 24 hours across the state, the SES has been called out to more than 900 jobs
00:31in the Sydney metro region and over 700 in the Northern Zone, which runs from Gosford
00:36to Tweed Heads.
00:37More than 38,000 people are without power in New South Wales, while the Bureau of Meteorology
00:43is warning residents in the Hunter, Mid-North Coast and Northern Tablelands to expect more
00:48rain.
00:49The Bureau and SES is warning there's a chance of flash flooding with falls of up to 120
00:55millimetres forecast.
