00:00 Talk about the major talking points after a week in Ole Miss fall camp.

00:03 First of all, Jackson Dart appears to be doing very well in the quarterback competition.

00:10 He is doing all the stuff he needs to do.

00:12 Now this isn't a situation just like I told you yesterday where none of the

00:16 quarterbacks are being performing at an elite level and

00:20 it's just Jackson Dart by default, essentially.

00:24 No, it's Jackson Dart outperforming Spencer Sanders,

00:28 who's performing really well himself.

00:30 Outperforming Walker Howard, who's performing really well himself.

00:35 Even Austin Simmons has started to flash, which by the way, I wish I could pat

00:40 myself on the back here because we've been talking about Austin Simmons for a month.

00:44 And now everybody else is catching up to that.

00:46 I'm telling you, this is an elite talented quarterback in Austin Simmons and

00:50 I knew he was going to flash once he got on campus.

00:55 He is competing for the 2024 quarterback job right now with Walker Howard.

01:00 Those two make no mistake are competing for that job.

01:04 But the main storyline, the number one thing whenever you look at this

01:09 quarterback room in the super competitive group,

01:12 was that there was actually going to be a competition.

01:16 And that hasn't really matriculated to this point.

01:24 Now if you look at it, David Johnson from 247 says Jackson Dart is checking most

01:29 of the boxes as the quarterback battle goes on and you hear talking points from

01:34 time to time and what those are mostly being fed to reporters where they tried

01:40 to play up the quarterback competition a couple of days ago.

01:44 And for whatever reason, it just didn't stick.

01:47 Jackson Dart seems to be performing.

01:49 If you saw the way that Jalen Knox's eyes lit up when he talked about

01:54 Jackson Dart looking like a completely different quarterback out there.

01:57 I think we honestly have a situation on our hand like we had with Matt Corral.

02:04 And from 2020 to 2021, to where just that second year in the system and

02:11 understanding how to perform at that level is going to be beneficial for

02:15 Jackson Dart down the road.
