01:39 "He's the example that I would want my children to have. I have a partner who's very Christian

01:43 and there are two different ways of looking at things. I don't always agree with him and

01:47 he doesn't always agree with me, but he is an example even when I don't agree with him."

02:14 Clearly, Bullock had a great deal of respect for Randall, and she was willing to make parenting

02:18 with him work because of it. Due to that level of respect, a lot of fans probably wondered

02:23 why they never tied the knot.

02:25 Over the course of their relationship, there were plenty of rumors that Bullock and Randall

02:28 had gotten married, and plenty that they had split. But the two appeared very dedicated

02:32 to loving one another, regardless of the tabloid fodder. She said on Red Table Talk,

02:37 "I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother. I don't need to be told

02:41 to be ever-present in the hardest of times. I don't need to be told to weather a storm

02:46 with a good man."

02:47 Wedding bells or not, Bullock apparently wanted to spend more time with her partner. In an

02:51 interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2022, Bullock shared that she was going to be taking

02:56 a break from acting. She explained that she really wanted to focus on her home life because

03:01 she had long felt as though something was missing.

03:03 "Work has always been steady for me and I've been so lucky. I realized it possibly was

03:08 becoming my crutch."

03:09 Instead, she decided that she wanted to spend more time with her family. She echoed that

03:13 sentiment in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

03:16 "I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family. That's it. And we don't know how

03:21 long or how short, but it's, that's where I want to be for a while."

03:24 Looking back, it's possible that Bullock may have been wanting to spend the time that Randall

03:28 had left by his side, perhaps knowing that she'd never get that time back.
