A single mom has shared a series of inspiring videos showcasing her and her son's travels around the world despite what others would perceive as difficulties. When TeAndra Taylor, 34, from Dallas, Texas, became a single mom, she said she faced a world that expected her to buckle down and limit the opportunities for her and her son, Carson, 6. But in Carson's short life, he and his mom have visited 30 states, 24 countries, and five different continents – and counting. As a way of inspiring other single moms, TeAndra shares videos of her and Carson’s adventures on her TikTok channel, which has gained tens of thousands of followers. Some of Carson's favorite locations have been Japan and Puerto Rico, TeAndra said, along with a Disney cruise that the pair took.

00:00 He's been to 30 states, 24 countries, five continents.
00:05 A lot of these trips, we do just the two of us.
00:07 - Tiandra has been a single mom
00:09 since her son was three years old.
00:12 Carson's now six and they travel the world together.
00:16 - They have these stigmas on how a single mom should be.
00:20 I'm here to break those barriers
00:22 and show other women ways to be able
00:26 to show their kids the world,
00:27 why it's important to show their children the world.
00:30 And not only their children,
00:32 but also making those memories for themselves
00:35 as women, as mothers with their kids
00:37 on seeing and exposing their kids
00:40 to everything that this earth has to offer.
00:43 - Go Carson!
00:44 - If kids live there, kids can go there.
00:47 The world is the best classroom.
00:49 He's done cliff diving in Puerto Rico.
00:51 He's done snorkeling.
00:53 We swam with dolphins in the ocean in Hawaii,
00:56 like we were with wild dolphins in the ocean.
00:58 He's done UTV riding, sandboarding.
01:01 So it's really opening his mind and expanding,
01:04 trying to see his limits, what his fears are.
01:06 And as of now, he wants to try everything at least once.
01:10 Look at this boy snorkeling, y'all.
01:12 Look at him, by himself in the ocean.
01:15 And he's done seen fish and turtles and sea urchins.
01:20 A lot of times when we do travel,
01:23 well, he'll make friends with other children.
01:25 Something about kids, they have this universal language
01:28 of being able to just have fun together,
01:31 whether they can understand each other or not.
01:33 We've made friends in Italy, Japan.
01:36 We volunteered at an orphanage in Indonesia
01:38 and he made friends with all of them.
01:40 And a lot of times they don't, like I said,
01:42 speak the same language,
01:43 but he always enjoys just meeting new people,
01:46 culture, traditions, religions,
01:48 and just embracing all of that.
01:52 - And now she's hoping to show others
01:54 to embrace all of that too,
01:57 by hosting group trips with parents and their little ones.
02:00 - I'm really big on showing not just single moms,
02:04 but parents period,
02:05 why it's important to travel with their kids,
02:08 how to find cheap flights,
02:09 where I felt comfortable traveling as a single mom
02:14 with my child,
02:15 just to kind of give them that encouragement
02:17 and that inspiration that they need.
02:19 At the end of the day,
02:20 when that your last day is on earth,
02:24 most people aren't gonna be thinking about
02:26 the items that they have,
02:28 you know, the material items.
02:29 It's gonna be those memories that they make.
02:31 And so that's why I'm really big on traveling with my son,
02:35 because you never know when your last day
02:37 is gonna be on this earth.
02:38 So I stopped waiting.
02:40 You know, a lot of people end up waiting
02:41 for someone to go with them,
02:43 waiting for the right time,
02:44 waiting for this, waiting for that,
02:46 all these excuses.
02:47 And then sometimes that time never comes.
02:50 And so I'm big on doing things like right now.
02:53 you
