00:08 The battle for backup quarterback, a position that has been necessary for several years
00:12 for Big Red, may be getting solidified by the incumbent at the spot.
00:16 Last season, Chubba Purdy played sparingly but looked to have a fear while on the field.
00:21 Coach Matt Rule says the offseason and so far this camp has seen Purdy make big strides.
00:26 You know, John Wood used to say, "Be quick but don't hurry."
00:30 And sometimes when Chubba would play in the spring, he was like really quick and fast
00:32 and jumpy and trying to be perfect.
00:34 Every play trying to, a lot of times quarterbacks, every play they're trying to show how good
00:37 they are, instead of just playing the play.
00:40 And to me, Chubba's just like slowed down.
00:42 His feet aren't antsy, he's not kind of running around, he's not trying to do too much.
00:46 He's taking what they give you and I just like the way he leads his group, you know,
00:50 they follow him.
00:51 So, he has all the physical tools, but just kind of letting it all settle down and come
