00:00 >> Felt good, yeah, obviously, I'm sure coach hit on it.
00:04 Just a lot of things clean up offensively.
00:06 We're pretty sloppy, just a few illegal formations.
00:09 I mean, just the little stuff, just getting lined up right.
00:12 You can't have a good play if you're already hurting yourself.
00:14 So felt good for the most part, but just operationally,
00:18 we need to be a lot more clean on the offensive front.
00:21 >> Anything specific that you would wanna work on going into next year?
00:25 >> There was a couple run checks that I definitely could have gotten us into
00:27 a better play.
00:28 Especially on the short yardage stuff.
00:30 So we'll watch the tape, we'll get better from it.
00:32 That's why it's preseason, so I said a lot of things clean up, but
00:36 feel good about where we're at.
00:37 >> We were on the trail about four game this afternoon,
00:39 long before any of your teammates were sitting on the bench, just taking it all in.
00:43 What's your pregame routine like?
00:45 >> Normally if it's not as hot as it was today,
00:49 I take a call sheet out there, just kinda go through it.
00:53 I just like to be outside and just kinda visualize and
00:57 just get a feel for the stadium and whatnot.
01:00 I don't think there's any secret recipe, but it's just kinda my routine.
01:03 >> Bigger talk about the one touchdown that you guys had in the field.
01:08 >> Yeah, honestly, I thought Chase Edmonds was gonna score on the run play right
01:11 before that.
01:12 He just lost his footing.
01:13 The line was playing really well on that drive, getting some good run plays.
01:16 We converted on a couple passes.
01:18 And so just, that's what it's all about, consistently putting plays together,
01:21 moving the chains.
01:22 And Trey made an absolutely great catch in the back of the end zone right there.
01:27 Just kinda one of those balls that, a lot of trust right there.
01:31 And so, yeah, we hit on the fact that our young guys were playing well at receiver,
01:34 and Trey did his thing tonight, and a lot of other young guys did as well.
01:38 >> How did it work out with Dave?
01:41 This was Dave's first time in a game, actually, called, and how'd it work out?
01:46 >> I thought it was great.
01:48 Like we mentioned last week, we've done a lot of call-out periods during practice
01:51 to kinda get everybody used to how he's gonna call a game as well.
01:55 So I thought it was very smooth.
01:56 I think he definitely caught his rhythm there towards the end when we were able
01:59 to protect a little bit for John.
02:01 So I think, yeah, I think he was comfortable with it.
02:05 There's always gonna be plays that we're gonna watch.
02:06 I wish I had called this here.
02:08 I wish I had done something different.
02:09 But for the most part, I thought it was really, really smooth.
02:12 >> Baker, you only had two stars in this game, the two linemen, really.
02:15 Is it difficult to kinda get a rhythm with guys that maybe you haven't played
02:19 that much with anybody a lot, but just in terms of-
02:21 >> Yeah, I mean, during our practices,
02:24 during camp, we're rotating quite a bit just cuz the heat, saving guys' legs.
02:27 So used to throwing it at pretty much everybody.
02:30 And for me, as a quarterback, you just gotta go through your reads,
02:33 trust what you're seeing, deliver the ball when it needs to be delivered, and
02:36 just, yeah, you're done.
02:37 >> What would you like to see out of yourself going into next week?
02:41 >> I mentioned just getting us in better positions in the run game stuff.
02:44 Just having advantageous looks and taking advantage of it.
02:48 So I think for me, just continue the operation and
02:52 really controlling and commanding well.
02:54 So like how we took care of the ball, didn't put it in jeopardy.
02:59 And so I think continuing to grow on that front.
