00:00 The Premier League season is coming to an end. What are your thoughts on the Champions League?
00:26 In fairness to Burnley, they did create chances against Manchester City and certainly had some good play and good possession.
00:34 But Man City were clinical, as they often tend to be. Erling Haaland picking up very much where he left off last season.
00:42 And then Rodri getting another goal as well, continuing his form from the Champions League final.
00:47 And so in the end, a comfortable victory for Man City to start off the new league campaign.
00:52 Perfect start from one of the Saturday games in the Premier League. 5-1 against Aston Villa. Villa have huge expectations for this season.
01:01 Newcastle sort of shut them down and they've also picked up where they left off last season.
01:07 I think people were far too quick to write off Newcastle this season. They finished fourth last year and yet a lot of people have had Villa ahead of them
01:15 just because of some of the recruitment that they've brought in. And yet the players who played, who are new signings for Villa on Saturday,
01:22 apart from Diaby, who did get a goal, weren't all that good. Tielemans looked very poor, so did Pau Torres.
01:30 I know it's only the first week and obviously Newcastle will be cock-a-hoop with that one.
01:34 You know, top of the league after one week, fantastic for them.
01:38 Going down into the Championship now and it was West Brom against Swansea City.
01:43 West Brom, of course, you know, a bit of turbulence last season, hoping to do better this year.
01:48 Swansea have been away from the Premier League for a little while. Perhaps this is the year they get back up.
01:54 But it was West Brom who came away with three points. Charles, thoughts on that one?
01:59 Yeah, huge win for West Brom and Charlby. I mean, they didn't start the campaign as they'd like to this season so far,
02:06 losing it at Blackburn and losing it against Stoke in the EFL Cup as well. So an early exit there as well.
02:11 So fans might have been thinking, you know, we haven't had the backing over the summer.
02:15 We needed to sort of come into this season and do well and that's not the ideal start.
02:20 But a win against Swansea, albeit a close one, they went three and it up.
02:25 Swansea almost, almost putting things back to level with goals in the 74th minute and then the 80th minute.
02:32 So positives to take from both sides. West Brom are off the mark now in the Championship season.
02:37 Swansea played two, drawn one, lost one. So maybe not the best start for them so far.
02:44 But, you know, plenty of positives to take sort of trying to get back in that game.
02:48 Obviously, the man of the match was Harry Darling as well, who had a fantastic game.
02:54 But yeah, plenty to work on for both sides. But great for Albion and Swansea.
02:59 Shouldn't write them off too soon, but I think they've got a lot to prove.
