00:00Ben Fischer, interim head coach of England's under-21s, revealed he had chatted to FA technical
00:05director John McDermott.
00:06He just said, he just said, good luck, didn't have any kind of big conversation, yeah, we'll
00:10probably speak at some point over the next couple of days, yeah, so, no, yeah, it's good,
00:15hopefully, you know, he's enjoyed what he saw, so I'd say it's been a really positive
00:19night and the players are going away with a smile on their face.
00:21Fischer was then asked about whether there would be a debrief from McDermott.
00:24I've not had many yet, because I haven't even finished the camp, so I'm sure he'll give
00:29me a phone call or I'll see him at St George's Park in the next week or so.
00:32Finally, Fischer outlined what he had enjoyed about the 4-1 win over Austria.
00:35Well, I thought we played some really good football all night, I thought we moved the
00:38ball through the pitch well, we were patient as we needed to be, but when we got around
00:42that final bit, you know, we created some really good chances and we moved the ball,
00:46we were running forward, passing forward, some top players were really expressing themselves
00:50and that's what I asked them to do, the big difference tonight, Friday, was we kind of
00:54got that first goal and when we did, as I say, we looked a real threat then, all second half.
