00:37 Alhamdulillah, today we will read the 23rd chapter from Nafs.
00:43 We will read the translation and the explanation.
00:46 For the recitation of the Holy Quran, we have with us
00:50 the renowned Qari, the Qari of the country, Noman Naimi.
00:53 As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
00:56 Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
00:58 Dear viewers, for the explanation of these verses,
01:02 we have with us the Ustaz-ul-Ulema Hazrati Allama Mufti
01:06 Muhammad Ismail Noorani.
01:08 As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
01:11 Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
01:13 Let us read the verses of the Holy Quran
01:17 and with the translation, enlighten and enchant our hearts and minds.
01:22 In the name of Allah.
01:23 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
01:27 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
01:34 And indeed, Jonah was of the messengers
01:41 when he ran to the starboard.
01:46 He contributed and was of those who were in need.
01:53 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
01:55 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
02:06 And indeed, Jonah was of the messengers
02:10 when he ran to the starboard.
02:14 He contributed and was of those who were in need.
02:19 The fish caught him while he was sleeping.
02:24 If it were not that he was of those who were in need,
02:30 he would have remained in his belly until the Day they are resurrected.
02:39 So the fish swallowed him.
02:41 At that time, he was blaming himself.
02:44 So if he had not been one of those who glorified Allah,
02:48 he would have remained in the belly of the fish until the Day they are resurrected.
02:52 So We cast him into the sea while he was sick.
02:59 And We cast upon him a tree of clay.
03:07 So We put him in the field.
03:11 And he was very weak at that time.
03:14 And We put upon him a tree of a vine.
03:18 And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more,
03:24 and they believed.
03:25 And We gave them a good time until the end.
03:31 And We sent him as a messenger to one hundred thousand or more.
03:39 So he believed in them.
03:41 And We gave them a good time until the end.
03:46 So ask them, "Is there a daughter for your Lord and for them is a son?
03:55 Or have We created the angels as females while they are witnesses?"
04:06 So ask them, "Are there daughters for your Lord
04:11 and for them is a son?
04:13 Or have We created the angels as females while they are witnesses?"
04:19 No, indeed, they say of their sin,
04:26 "The Son of Allah," and they are liars.
04:34 Listen, they say with their own slander,
04:39 "The Son of Allah," and they are liars.
04:45 The daughters chose the sons.
04:50 How can you judge?
04:56 Did he choose daughters for his sons?
05:00 What happened to you? What news are you giving?
05:03 Do you not remember? Or do you have a clear authority?
05:11 Then bring your book, if you are truthful.
05:19 Do you not understand?
05:21 Or do you have a clear proof of this?
05:25 Then bring your book, if you are truthful.
05:29 And they placed a lineage between him and the jinn.
05:35 And the jinn knew that they would be brought to their knees.
05:42 Glory be to Allah for what they describe.
05:49 And those people made a lineage between Allah and the jinn.
05:55 And the jinn knew that they would be brought to their knees.
06:00 Allah is free of all sins.
06:06 Except for the faithful servants of Allah.
06:11 And you and what you worship, you are not against anyone except him who is the intercessor of the blazing fire.
06:26 Except for the faithful servants of Allah, they will not be punished.
06:31 So, you and those whom you worship,
06:35 you cannot forcefully mislead anyone against the will of Allah.
06:41 Except for the one who is going to wake up in hell due to his disbelief.
06:48 And there is no one from among them except that he has a known position.
06:57 And indeed, we are the truthful.
07:03 And indeed, we are the exalted in praise.
07:11 The angels said, "And every one of us has a known position.
07:15 And indeed, we are the truthful.
07:18 And indeed, we are the exalted in praise.
07:22 And if they say, "Why did we worship a reminder from the ancients?"
07:32 We are the faithful servants of Allah.
07:40 And no doubt, those people used to say, "If we had a reminder from the ancients,
07:47 we would have been the ones who worshipped Allah with sincerity."
07:52 So they disbelieved in it, and they will know.
07:58 And Our Word has already been sent to Our servants, the Messengers.
08:04 And indeed, they are the victors.
08:12 So they disbelieved in Allah, and they will know.
08:17 And no doubt, We have already spoken to those people, the Messengers.
08:24 And no doubt, they will be helped.
08:27 And indeed, We have prepared for them the victors, so turn away from them for a while.
08:38 And observe them, for they will see.
08:45 And no doubt, Our army will be victorious.
08:49 So you keep on being in a certain distance from them, and keep on watching them.
08:56 And they will see soon.
08:59 So do they seek to hasten Our punishment?
09:04 And when their time comes, evil is the morning for those who are warned.
09:15 Are they asking for Our punishment soon?
09:18 So when that punishment will be sent down on their court,
09:22 what evil will be the morning for those who have been threatened with punishment?
09:29 And turn away from them for a while, and observe them, for they will see.
09:40 And you keep on being in a certain distance from them, and keep on watching them.
09:46 And they will see soon.
09:49 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Might and Glory,
09:53 above what they ascribe to Him.
09:55 And peace be upon the Messengers.
09:59 And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
10:08 Your Lord is the victor, and He is free from all sin,
10:12 which He has declared.
10:14 And peace be upon the Messengers,
10:17 and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
10:24 In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

34:42 and put it in the sea. Once, twice, three times, the name of Prophet Yunus came. So, you yourself
34:49 understood it that it is because of me. So, at that time, you went into the water of the
34:56 sea. And by Allah's grace an arrangement was there for a fish which was open-mouthed,
35:02 you went into its stomach. Then, Quran said, 'Faltaqumahu al hutu', that a fish swallowed
35:09 its stomach. And he was a accused and Prophet Yunus was blaming himself. But, along with
35:16 this, in the stomach of that fish, even in the darkness, you see the Prophet's style,
35:21 the state of 'Rujoo ila Allah'. Quran says further, 'Falaula'annahu kaana minal musabihin'.
35:26 If Prophet Yunus (AS) had not been a 'Tasbeeh' (Praise) doer, 'Lalabitha fee batnihi ila
35:33 al-mahfazoon', then he would have remained in the stomach of the fish till the Day of
35:40 Judgment. We find the same explanation in Surah Anbiya, in the 17th Parah, where he
35:45 also stated 'Tasbeeh', which we remember today as the verse of 'Kareemah'. 'La ilaha
35:50 illa anta subhanaka innikuntu minaz zalimeen'. So, in the 17th Parah, the same incident
35:54 is present, where Prophet Yunus (AS) read this blessed verse in the stomach of the fish,
35:59 'La ilaha illa anta subhanaka innikuntu minaz zalimeen', and then Allah the Almighty
36:04 gave him salvation from the stomach of the fish. Because the body was very weak, and
36:09 when he came out, his body was in such a state that he needed to eat something immediately,
36:19 he needed some light, soft food. So, the Quran has stated this whole situation that when
36:24 we took him out of the sea in an open place, we planted a banyan tree for him. Here, the
36:37 virtue of banyan has also been pointed out. The Prophet (PBUH) also liked this food.
36:44 Hazrat Anas says that I saw the Prophet (PBUH) that when the banyan tree was brought,
36:49 the Prophet (PBUH) used to search for pieces of banyan and eat it. So, here, the Quran
36:56 has specifically mentioned it for Prophet Yunus (AS) and he also covered his body with
37:01 its leaves and was saved from the sun's rays of the sun, from flies and mosquitoes, and
37:06 that food was also available to him in the form of banyan. After that, Allah the Almighty
37:11 sent him back to the people, who were more than one lakh, who had accepted Islam, and
37:16 they were welcomed by the people. So, Allah the Almighty has created a field for Prophet
37:21 Yunus (AS) in the people. And as it is said, there is wisdom in every incident. There are
37:28 many messages in this incident of Prophet Yunus (AS) that we need to ponder.
37:35 Then, Allah the Almighty has mentioned the oneness of God, and the disbelievers of the
37:40 Quraish who put allegations, sometimes the angels were called daughters of Allah, and
37:46 sometimes they created some doubts on the oneness of Allah, and sometimes they tried to prove
37:51 the relationship of the jinn with Allah. All these things were rejected. And then the
37:55 angels, who are the luminous creatures of Allah the Almighty, have stated their sentences
38:00 that what do the angels say? We are in the ranks of Allah, we are His servants, and these
38:09 disbelievers are claiming to be the partners of Allah. So, the angels, Allah the Almighty
38:15 has made them state this sentence, and made them declare that they are the ones who
38:20 glorify Allah. They are the luminous creatures of Allah, the glorified ones. So, it means
38:25 that we, the people, whom Allah has given the awareness, the understanding, then we
38:30 should glorify and analyze Allah more. Then, when we go to the end of Surah As-Saffat,
38:37 then, dear viewers, there are three very famous verses, which we mostly hear in prayers,
38:42 at the end, "Subhanarabbika Rabbil 'izzati amma yasifoon, wasalamun 'alal mursaleen,
38:48 walhamdulillahi rabbil 'alameen". In these, Allah the Almighty has stated His glorification,
38:52 praised, and has stated the salutation to the prophets. This means, dear viewers, that
38:57 at the end, in the beginning, but also at the end, we should praise and praise Allah
39:02 and in the presence of Allah the Almighty, and in the presence of the prophets, and in
39:07 the presence of the Master of the worlds, we should present the salutation of the salutation
39:11 to the prophets, that this is the Sunnah of the Lord. In yesterday's discussion, we
39:14 stated that "Salamun 'ala noohin fil 'alameen". Salute to Noah. Allah has sent salutation
39:18 to different prophets. So, the Ummah should send more salutation. The Ummah should
39:22 present more salutation and salutation with more care. A scholar of these three verses
39:28 has stated, "Man qala dhubura kulla salatin", who has read these three verses after every
39:33 prayer, "Subhana rabbika rabbil 'izzati", these three verses, "Salasa marraateen", three
39:37 times, he has said, "Faqad iqtala bil mikialil awfa minal ajr", so he has saved a very
39:42 big amount of reward and reward for himself. So, on the Day of Judgment, inshaAllah, he
39:48 will be given benefit. So, with this, the end of Surah As-Saffat was concluded and then
39:53 Surah As-Saud was started. It is Surah of Makkah, 88 verses and 5 rak'ahs. Today, it is
39:59 the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th rak'ahs. That is, today, it is recited as 3.5 rak'ahs of
40:05 Surah As-Saud. Allah has started it with the word "Saud" which is one of the letters
40:10 of the Muqatta'at. That is, those letters whose meaning we do not know, the commentators
40:15 have stated some interpretations and possibilities. No knowledge has been shown except that
40:20 the Prophet (pbuh) was narrated by Allah. Because the one on whom it has been revealed,
40:26 then the one who revealed it knows what the meaning of these letters is or the one on whom
40:31 it was revealed. These are secrets. There are secrets and symbols between Allah and the
40:36 Prophet. Then the oath of the Quran has been revealed. And with this, in other verses,
40:40 Allah has invited the disbelievers to believe in the Oneness of Allah and the Prophethood.
40:46 When Hazrat Umar Farooq brought Islam, there was a lot of confusion among the disbelievers.
40:51 And they gathered, 25 people, gathered the great leaders to Abu Talib and said that
40:56 now we tell them to stop the nephew because now their matter is increasing. A person like
41:01 Umar Farooq has brought Islam. Here, the Prophet (pbuh) also came and the Prophet (pbuh)
41:05 said that I have one thing in front of all these leaders. If they believe today, all
41:10 the Arabs will follow them. Abu Jahl thought that maybe they will say something new. So
41:15 he said, what is it? If there is such a thing, then we are ready to believe in ten things.
41:19 The Prophet (pbuh) said the same thing that Allah has sent you from the beginning that
41:24 you believe in one God, Allah. Here all these people scattered, got angry and all of them
41:30 left from there. They went saying that "Aja'al al-Aliha ta'ilahu wahida"
41:35 means that they have given all the divinity to one God and there is no benefit of all
41:40 the idols that we believe in. So this was their thinking that if there is such a big
41:44 universe, how can one God run? And faith and Islam is that "Tauheed" is the name of
41:49 "Allah Wahdahu La Shariq" of oneness. One God and He is enough for all matters.
41:55 So in this way, Allah the Lord of Glory has stated all the matters and arguments of
42:00 the previous nations. Then to warn these disbelievers, He mentioned different nations.
42:04 "Qad dhabat qablahum qawmu noohim wa 'aadum wa fir'aun" He also mentioned other nations
42:09 so that they know what happened to the previous nations. So they too, the disbelievers of
42:14 the Quraish and all those who are deniers, should definitely think about this.
42:18 Then there is the eleventh commandment. Allah the Lord of Glory has mentioned some
42:22 prophets. There are eleventh and twelfth commandments. Especially Hazrat Dawood and
42:26 Hazrat Sulaiman and Hazrat Ayub. The recitation of today's viewers, there are three
42:30 prophets mentioned as special. Allah the Lord of Glory has mentioned Hazrat Dawood
42:34 as "Abdazkur Abdana" Remember our servant Dawood. "Dhal-Aid" who is very powerful.
42:39 And then Allah the Lord of Glory has also mentioned their powers. His miracles have
42:44 also been mentioned. We have designated mountains for them. We have designated birds
42:48 for them. When they used to read something, the mountains used to rise. The birds also
42:53 used to join in the singing. And then we have given them wisdom. We have also given
42:58 them the ability to make decisions. This is a reference to the incidents of Hazrat Dawood.
43:04 Then, obviously, the place where they are in the position of prophethood, Allah the Lord
43:08 of Glory deals with them in such a way that if ever in their hearts, if they even think
43:15 of anything that their position and that high position, that is, from the perspective of
43:20 Allah the Lord of Glory, and if Allah the Lord of Glory does not think it is better,
43:25 then the Lord speaks to them in His own way. On which we have no permission to comment.
43:35 We should also understand this as a place of etiquette. Because there are some incidents
43:39 of Hazrat Dawood, there is not much time to go into the details of that incident.
43:43 But the Lord of Glory pointed out some such matters. But here I am saying only one
43:48 principle thing that with respect to the relationship of the Prophets, some such
43:52 incidents, which in terms of their position of prophethood, Allah the Lord of Glory
43:56 has spoken to them in His own way. So, a person or a follower should not comment
44:03 on it and there is no permission to comment on it that is against the position of prophethood.
44:09 We are obliged to believe according to the apparent verses and we have been ordered
44:15 to interpret it better than the Quran so that it is on their etiquette.
44:19 Then, along with this, I also mentioned the other positions of the Prophet,
44:23 the virtues of the Prophet, and the incident that I briefly pointed out,
44:28 when the Quran has mentioned it, what does it say in the end?
44:31 "Wa inna lahoo 'indana lazulfa"
44:33 That no doubt, the position of the Prophet is very close to us.
44:37 "Wa husna ma'aab" and his good end.
44:40 So when the Quran is saying to him "lazulfa wa husna ma'aab"
44:43 then obviously this is a great gift and honor for the Prophet.
44:47 Then after this, the status and rank of the Prophet was mentioned.
44:51 Many incidents have happened with you, especially one such incident came
44:55 that when you had a large number of horses for Jihad and for various things,
45:00 Allah the Lord of Glory has given you money, one day you were busy looking
45:05 at the horses, very beautiful horses, and it so happened that the time of Asr prayer
45:09 was approaching sunset and that time had passed.
45:14 Hazrat Suleiman was very upset about this and see the glory of Allah's Prophet,
45:19 that even for a moment, if something like this happened,
45:24 that he could not perform the worship in that way,
45:27 then there is so much resentment in the heart,
45:30 that in today's world, people are upset about the loss of some worldly wealth.
45:34 Allah is not concerned about the loss of worldly wealth,
45:38 but if there is any distance from Allah, then they feel resentment for it.
45:44 Hazrat Suleiman asked for those horses again and then ordered them to be sacrificed.
45:49 That is, the sacrifice was given, that the thing from which I am heedless,
45:53 sacrifice it in the way of Allah.
45:55 His flesh was fed, he was sacrificed.
45:57 But in this incident, other interpreters have stated,
46:01 that this is one saying, which is supported by some narrations of Tabarani,
46:05 that is why we have said according to this.
46:08 There are other places of Suleiman, Allah has given them the winds,
46:12 made the jinn follow them, but along with this, see the perfection,
46:16 that this is our gift, O Suleiman, these are our gifts,
46:19 you can give it to anyone, or you can keep it.
46:23 Scholars have also argued on the authority of prophethood with this.
46:26 See from verse number 49 of Surah Saad, it is said that you have the authority,
46:30 you keep it with you or give it to someone.
46:32 When this is the world of the authority of Suleiman,
46:35 then think that the prophets of Suleiman,
46:37 the leaders of the world, Hazrat Muhammad, what is the world of their authority?
46:41 That if Allah gave them all the authority,
