Don’t miss the chance to etch your name into cricket history – that’s the message from Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur ahead of their crunch clash with India at Manchester on Sunday. Pakistan against India is a cricketing rivalry like no other and the latest chapter will be written at Old Trafford in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup on Sunday. A raucous atmosphere is a given but the game also has added significance for Pakistan in the context of the World Cup, with their hopes of reaching the knockout stages already in jeopardy following defeats to West Indies and Australia. And coach Arthur is urging his players to instantly become a legend by producing a moment of brilliance to help defeat their chief foes in Manchester. Video courtesy: ICC

00:00 Virat Kohli insisted that it's just a game for his team.
00:10 He was asked 10 different questions and he didn't budge.
00:13 Do you feel the mood is the same in Pakistan?
00:15 Are your players taking it just as a match or are they under pressure to perform because
00:19 they have to win tomorrow to stay alive?
00:22 There's always pressure in any game and these games carry exactly the same amount of points.
00:27 They carry two points.
00:28 Obviously there's a massive hype that's created a lot of the time by the media really.
00:34 Our guys are prepared, we're ready, we're comfortable that we can get out there and
00:38 perform and we are so excited about the opportunity tomorrow.
00:42 A lot of people are saying that perhaps India is the favourite this time as well.
00:49 So are you talking to your players about what happened a couple of years ago, Champions
00:53 Trophy final?
00:54 And again, probably India was the favourite and the result was what you liked?
01:01 That's a long time ago.
01:03 We're concentrating at the moment on our own games because we know if we put three disciplines
01:09 together we can beat anybody in the world.
01:12 We're comfortable with our game plans, we're comfortable with our personnel, we're comfortable
01:17 with our players.
01:18 We just got to get them into the optimum space to go out there and perform tomorrow.
01:22 We haven't put the perfect game together yet.
01:24 We've played, our disciplines have been good with the bat, have been okay with the ball
01:29 and okay in the field.
01:30 If we put the perfect game together we can beat everybody and we're confident of that
01:34 and the dressing room is very, very confident of that fact.
01:38 Meghito has pointed out that fielding wasn't up to the mark in the last matches.
01:44 So has this rain affected the preparation, especially from the fielding point of view?
01:49 Look, we can't do more.
01:54 We've honestly worked the boys incredibly hard.
01:58 Fielding is an attitude.
02:00 Batting and bowling is something that you can't really control because you're up against
02:06 somebody else.
02:07 Fielding you can control.
02:09 You can control your attitude in the field.
02:12 When we get a little bit tentative we tend to fall off the ball a little bit and the
02:17 message for the boys tomorrow is to hold back, not to hold back.
02:21 We want to leave everything out on the ground, whether that's with bat, ball and in the field.
02:25 And if we do that, if we do that and not play a tentative game, we play a game where we
02:31 take the game on, which has been our mantra for a period of time now.
02:36 Hopefully it clicks and everything goes well.
02:38 It only takes one moment of magic.
02:40 It only takes one moment of brilliance and it needs one guy to stand up and do that,
02:44 particularly early in the game for us.
02:46 Coach, Mohamed Amir did well to really come back with the old ball against the Aussies.
02:53 But how much of a concern is it with the new ball and to be able to make inroads into the
02:57 Indian top order?
02:58 That would be key.
02:59 Yeah, look, that's key.
03:01 And I think you saw, without wanting to harp too much, it was two years ago, but when you
03:07 get into the Indian top order you can create a little bit of havoc.
03:12 You know, there's some fine players all the way down, don't get me wrong.
03:15 But if you can rattle that top order with the new ball, you certainly have an advantage.
03:21 And that's something that we will certainly, certainly be trying to work on.
03:27 Micky, there's been a fair bit of talk about Shoaib Malik in this World Cup.
03:33 He's had a poor World Cup probably by his own standards.
03:37 How concerned are you about having him inside and just his performances so far?
03:41 Look, I can tell you a guy that's played over 200 ODIs, tomorrow presents a real opportunity
03:47 for him.
03:49 As far as I'm concerned, Shoaib Malik didn't play the West Indies game because of balance
03:54 of team.
03:55 He batted in the last three overs against England and failed against Australia.
04:02 So to say he's failed, there's not much of a barometer just yet.
04:08 That will be determined over the next couple of games.
04:11 What I do know is Shoaib Malik brings a hell of a lot to our dressing room.
04:18 He is an incredible team man.
04:20 He has incredible skills.
04:23 And I'm hoping that on the biggest stage tomorrow, those skills come to the fore.
04:27 Because let's not forget, and I mentioned it in one of the previous questions, that
04:32 it is still a fairly young cricket team.
04:35 Shoaib Malik's experience, Mohamed Afeez's experience tomorrow will go a long way out
04:40 in the middle to help these young boys through it.
04:43 Coach, how difficult is it to plan as a coach, keeping in mind the weather looming large
04:49 over you and anything can happen?
04:51 Look, it always is.
04:52 But you've just got to take the weather out of the equation.
04:58 We plan meticulously every time.
05:00 We've just come out of the hotel, we've had our bowlers meetings, we've had our batters
05:04 meetings.
05:05 The boys have planned meticulously.
05:06 We've done everything we can possibly do.
05:10 We've done everything that we can control.
05:13 We can't control the weather, so unfortunately the weather, we've just got to go by what
05:18 happens tomorrow.
05:20 Everything we can control has been done.
05:21 We've just got to go by what happens tomorrow.
05:22 We've just got to go by what happens tomorrow.
05:23 We've just got to go by what happens tomorrow.
