00:00 I just, every day I just try to come in here and
00:02 try to be the most complete Titan I can be.
00:05 And that's all I can ask for.
00:07 I don't know where my ceiling is, I don't know what my ceiling is, but
00:10 I do know that I can't compete with anyone.
00:12 And I'm gonna work my butt off to become the most complete Titan I can,
00:16 run game, pass game, whatever it is, pass pro.
00:18 But I do appreciate the coaches and everyone for showing love.
00:24 Yeah, I mean, obviously a new offense for him, so
00:26 I've kind of been helping him there, but he's hooked on like that,
00:30 got everything like that.
00:30 And I think having an older guy like that, he played a lot of games.
00:34 He's taught me a lot, especially like fade balls, stuff like that.
00:39 He's really good at that aspect, and in a run game, he also blocks really well.
00:43 So we kind of just bounce ideas off each other, back and forth, and
00:46 great addition to the room.
00:47 And that guy is, can't say enough good about him.
00:51 He's probably one of the best people I know,
00:53 always coming in with a smile on his face.
00:55 Super enthusiastic, and yeah,
00:58 he just seems to lighten up the room when he walks in, so yeah.
01:01 >> So it's a camera thing, not like one incident per year?
01:04 >> No, yeah, every day, yeah, every day he's got a smile on his face.
01:07 He's always talking to people, trying to start conversations.
01:10 Yeah, he deserved that award, for sure.
01:12 Yeah, it's a blessing, first off, to be in this position.
01:16 And like I said, I'm just gonna attack it each and every day, and
01:19 bring everyone with me.
01:20 And I think just keep becoming a better leader, learning how to lead,
01:24 by example, and with my mouth.
01:26 But I think just bringing everyone along with me,
01:30 and just being the best team we can be.
01:33 Yeah, I guess I wouldn't even say it was a recruiting pitch, but
01:35 you just watch football.
01:37 There's a lot of three tight ends, two tight ends on the field, 13 personnel,
01:40 12 personnel.
01:41 I always put up one tight end on the field, it seems like.
01:43 But so that was really enough for me.
01:45 And then education here, the people here, everything checked the boxes.
01:50 So perfect fit for me, and I'm super glad I chose Michigan.
01:54 I mean, obviously Travis Kelsey, his route running and
01:57 the way he finds his own is pretty impressive, so I really admire that.
02:01 And then recently, I've been watching a lot of Dallas Goddard, Eagles.
02:05 He's a great tight end.
02:06 I kinda think we have similar play style.
02:08 But yeah, obviously Cato, Jimmy Grant, all the greats, but really those two,
02:14 mainly Travis Kelsey, that's where we wanna watch the most.
02:17 I'm coastal Loveland, so that's really all I can say.
02:21 He's a great tight end, and he has amazing things down there for them.
02:25 But just focused on what I'm doing for this team and what I can do for them.
02:29 I would say just overall,
02:34 comfortability in the program, getting the trust from other guys.
02:39 Strength, speed, size, and playbook.
02:44 I'm super locked in my playbook.
02:46 Obviously had a year, had another year, so now I can really fly around, move fast,
02:50 work on little techniques, run game, pass game, whatever that is.
02:53 But I think overall, especially in the run game, I've developed this obviously
02:59 quite a bit, pass game, being more comfortable finding zones.
03:02 Like I said, just more man on man routes, press, coverage, do a lot of that.
03:06 But just as a whole, I mean, I've grown and I'm excited to just keep growing.
03:10 Yeah, I mean, those guys, it's always iron sharp, but sharper than iron.
03:14 But recently, I mean, Keon Sav, he's been giving me PDC.
03:20 He's been giving me some troubles.
03:22 Rob Mark, all these guys, all of them, we always bounce back and forth.
03:26 But I'm just blessed to be going against those guys every day.
03:30 Obviously, I put on more size, got much stronger.
03:33 But just like I said, once you do something over and over and over again,
03:37 you just get better at it, you get more comfortable.
03:39 And that's just the thing, hand placement, footwork, everything goes into it.
03:44 I think I just keep getting better and I'm looking to get better.
03:48 >> Yeah, it wasn't ever a big deal, but it's like, yeah,
03:54 we'll get some pounds on you, don't rush anything.
03:56 We'll get pounds on you, try to be like 245, 250 going into camp.
04:00 And then you might lose a little bit there, but I mean, that's really all it was.
04:04 It was like, it's not like we had this big thing set up, it's like,
04:07 just stick to the plan, do what you gotta do.
04:09 And then you should be there by the end of offseason.
04:13 >> Like you said, team first, so I mean, really, we all know what the team goal is.
04:18 And with that will come individual success, obviously.
04:20 But right now, I do got some goals in mind, but I like to keep them to myself.
04:26 And I'm just right now just focus on the team and really just focus on just
04:31 keeping our feet under us, attacking each day, attacking each meeting,
04:35 attacking each practice.
04:37 Whatever it is, not looking too far ahead,
04:39 because like last year there were some times we did look too far ahead,
04:42 overlooked something, but no, that's something we're really honing in on this
04:45 year, just be where we are right now and attack that.
04:48 And then, yeah, that's all I got for you.
04:50 >> Okay.
