00:00 When we got her home, she wasn't sure where she was.
00:04 It was clear she was scared, malnourished,
00:07 and she was in pretty rough shape.
00:09 Are you asking for a high five?
00:11 Do you want a high five?
00:12 Do you want a high five?
00:13 Evie was found, and she was brought to a high hill
00:19 shelter.
00:21 She was pulled by an LA rescue at the very last minute.
00:25 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:28 She's just sleeping and sleeping.
00:35 So we have a rule of no dogs on our bed,
00:38 but I'm not sure how I can continue to say no
00:42 to this beautiful face.
00:44 When she's ready, we'll be here waiting.
00:46 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:50 She was unsure about everything, but it was clear
00:54 she was so sweet.
00:56 Derp, derp.
00:57 Derp, derp, derp.
00:59 So sweet.
01:01 Is this your first bone?
01:04 If you try peanut butter for the first time,
01:07 I think she's a fan of peanut butter.
01:11 Evie is definitely warming up.
01:13 [LAUGHTER]
01:16 Evie.
01:17 Hi, bubba.
01:18 Say hi.
01:19 Say hi.
01:20 Who's that?
01:21 Is that Evie?
01:22 Our dog, Tuna, is really taking a liking to her.
01:25 I think it's helping.
01:26 [MUSIC PLAYING]
01:30 Good girl.
01:34 Are you waiting for Tuna?
01:35 What do you say, Tuna?
01:36 She just went for a walk with dad.
01:38 She'll be back.
01:39 She'll be back.
01:42 Tuna has been so patient, and it's really making a difference
01:45 with Evie's confidence.
01:47 Evie, you're a howler.
01:49 You're a howler.
01:51 [HOWLING]
01:53 Oh my god, Evie.

02:02 She's getting strength.
02:03 She's getting energy.
02:05 Someone's trying to get my work from home, partner.
02:07 She's not doing a very good job.
02:09 She's more interested in the office
02:10 snacks than actually working.
02:12 Turn your back for one second, and this is what happens.
02:15 Great work from home, buddy.
02:17 Really earning her keep.
02:19 Her personality is starting to come out.

02:31 For more treats?
02:33 Don't eat it, Evie.
02:34 No, no.
02:35 The bowl is not edible, honey.
02:36 Excuse me.

02:49 [CLAPPING]
02:51 Yeah!
02:52 Hi, bubba.
02:54 Hi.
02:55 Hi, sweet girl.
02:57 Watching Evie come into her own has been incredible,
03:00 and it's going to be so sad to see her go.
03:03 We're so excited to announce that she's
03:05 been adopted into the perfect forever home, where she'll
03:07 have a dog sibling and two human siblings and a huge yard
03:12 for her to run around in.
03:16 We have a five-year-old German Shepherd, Zoe,
03:18 and we've been looking for a friend for her
03:21 for quite a while.
03:22 And we came across Evie, and as soon as I saw her,
03:28 we just knew that she was the one for us.
03:33 I can tell now that she's just so playful.
03:34 She's going to make a great addition to our family.
03:38 And I know my kids are excited to have another dog
03:41 in and to be part of the Powell house.
