Transcript
00:00 Here's today's Husker Max Practice Report brought to you by Tracy's Collision Center
00:05 on 1499.3 KLIN.
00:08 Josh Martin was initially hired as a special teams assistant for Nebraska football but
00:12 became the tight ends coach right before fall camp after the resignation of former coach
00:17 Bob Wager.
00:18 Martin says the transition into his new role has been a breeze.
00:22 I try to hit the ground running and develop this relationship with the players as fast
00:25 as I can and learn the scheme and learn what we're doing.
00:28 But it's been awesome.
00:30 So it's been a really easy transition because of our staff.
00:34 Just an overwhelming amount of support.
00:36 Martin says that if tight ends want to get to the next level, Nebraska is the place to
00:41 be.
00:42 If you want to play in the National Football League, this is the place to play tight end.
00:45 To be able to come here, we do a lot of different things with these guys.
00:48 The things that they're going to do at the next level, you're going to do everything.
00:51 You're going to play in line, you're going to play in the backboard, you're going to
00:54 play in the slot, you're going to play out wide, singled up.
00:56 You're going to do everything.
00:57 With this Husker Max practice report, I'm Matt McMaster.
