00:02 This is the Raika community, originally from Afghanistan.
00:13 He is a camel expert, and these people are animal breeders, semi-nomadic.
00:18 This turban has been given by God to us by our ancestors.
00:25 We have given it to the camels, the camels have given it to the camels.
00:30 We have given it to the camels, the camels have given it to the camels.
00:33 We milk the camels, take them to the jungle.
00:41 We have to milk them well, keep them well, and give them water three times a day.
00:45 Camel milk has become very famous in India, but it wasn't before.
00:51 The Raika community used to use it, because when they were going on long-distance migration,
00:56 and they couldn't get food, they used to stay on camel milk.
00:59 So, they get all the food, protein, and everything else in camel milk.
01:04 After milking, we make tea, and four or five people sit together,
01:09 and talk about camel milk.
01:12 Our grandfathers also used to work with camels.
01:15 It's our culture.
01:17 We have a connection with the animals.

01:24 I have been working with the Raika community for the past 30 years.
01:29 We work for the conservation of camels, and also for income generation.
01:35 People want to see their culture.
01:39 Tourists want me to spend five days with them,
01:43 and go to the camel park with them, and understand the camel's language.
01:47 We make paper with camel's dung.
01:50 We buy camel wool, and use it to make carpets, and stoles.
01:54 We started with camel milk and camel cheese.
01:57 [Music]
02:00 If camel milk is finished, our lives are finished.
02:04 We will have no animals.
