00:00 Issue 4, Caged Heat.
00:03 Brain says that at 3.30 AM tonight, the Milky Way will beam astral rays that, if harnessed,
00:11 would brainwash everyone to his will.
00:13 But it gets confusing when he says he only knows that because of tabloids, and apparently
00:18 they're always right about astronomy.
00:20 So this has to be a different universe where that's the case, which could only be possible
00:25 because of a witch's spell.
00:28 Maybe this is too silly, making Brain look like an idiot.
00:31 For the first time, the door to their cage is jammed, and he reveals he was smart enough
00:37 to make a backup key, but somehow he made them out of food pellets, even though they
00:42 would have rotted and it'd be a waste of food.
00:46 Pinky ate them for his birthday.
00:48 At least it causes Brain to say "Happy Birthday" and get thanked for it.
00:54 Brain seems like he's gone crazy because he thinks Pinky could move on the wheel fast
00:58 enough to vibrate his molecules through the bars of the cage.
01:03 It does make sense that he was able to run so fast that the wheel broke off, because
01:08 he had super speed in one of the stories, called "I, Brainius".
01:13 Then Brain somehow thinks he could spray water from a bottle to break the bars.
01:20 And somehow, Pinky's able to make a bottle spray water.
01:24 It was surprisingly funny when Pinky happily said "Look Brain, it worked!
01:30 The doors all went!"
01:32 And when Brain starts hitting the bars with his head, he asks if that's the next way to
01:36 escape.
01:37 Then Brain somehow thinks he could bend the bars with his mind.
01:42 Pinky shows him a hairpin, and he gets mad because without every pin in place, his plan
01:47 will fail.
01:48 But he was doomed anyways because he was trapped here.
01:51 Then he gets hit by lightning through the closed window, somehow, ending the story.
01:58 This was by Dana Curtin and Dan Slott, and while it was completely new to have a whole
02:03 story where Brain was trapped in his cage, its idea of comedy was making Brain insanely
02:10 stupid, coming to out-of-character conclusions for how to escape the cage, when he's been
02:15 able to escape it effortlessly plenty of times.
02:19 It should have been explained that the reason he was as dumb as Pinky to the point of being
02:23 gullible was severe sleep deprivation, or concussion, but it was worth reading to see
02:29 the funniest moments in it, and see a brand new plot idea.
