Malik Ouzia reviews Arsenal's win over Crystal Palace
Transcript
00:00 Just after four time here at Sellers Park where Arsenal have made it two wins from two to start the Premier League season.
00:06 As against Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend they made life difficult for themselves.
00:10 Then it was a case of conceding on the counter attack from their own corner.
00:14 And here it was a red card midway through the second half for Takehiro Tomiyasu.
00:18 And you'd have to say it was a very needless one, harsh perhaps yes, particularly the second booking which was for a pretty nothing foul really on Jordan Ayo.
00:26 Very minimal contact but the Palace man went down. But it was really a challenge that he didn't even need to think about making
00:32 having already been booked for time wasting which we know the Premier League are going to be so hot on this season.
00:37 Left Arsenal with half an hour including stoppage time to play with ten men.
00:41 And Michael Arteta really did throw everything on in terms of his defensive options.
00:45 By the end of the game he just had an entire team made up of defenders, holding midfielders and Kai Havertz as kind of a lone front man.
00:52 But to be honest Arsenal saw it out quite well. Palace didn't really create many chances bar maybe one or two loose balls that kind of dropped and were half chances not taken.
01:01 So six points from six for Arsenal. They keep pace I suppose if you want to look at it like that with Manchester City who obviously clicked straight into the gear at the start of the new season.
01:10 But title talk and that kind of thing is a long way off and there's plenty still for Michael Arteta to work out ahead of the visit of Fulham next week.
