A teenage boy who spent 120 days battling his second round of cancer was given a wholesome surprise when he returned home to discover his friends and family had renovated his room. Uale Su'a, 14, from Kansas City, Missouri, started to feel ill during the days after he watched the Kansas City Chief's Super Bowl parade on February 15. Uale was later taken to ER, where he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia – the second time in his life he had to face a cancer diagnosis. He immediately underwent aggressive chemotherapy for the next 25 days, which saw him lose 50 pounds. While in remission, Uale went home for a short amount of time before his second round of chemotherapy, before having to stay in for another 30 days after that. Eventually, he underwent a bone marrow transplant, which gave him a final date to go home, June 26, which marked the end of 120 days in and out of hospital. Having celebrated with hospital staff, Uale then arrived at his home, where he opened the door to his basement bedroom and discovered that his friends and family had transformed everything about it.
