00:00 Hi I'm Laura Reid, the Assistant Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post. I'm just
00:05 going to talk to you about some of the features that we've run online and in
00:09 print this week. Just in case you've missed them, there's plenty to go out for
00:13 some long reads to keep you occupied over the weekend and we've of course got
00:18 our Yorkshire Post magazine released on Saturday as well with lots more features
00:23 in there as part of our weekend edition. So looking back to the start of the
00:29 week we spoke to a Yorkshire wedding photographer who has set up a scheme to
00:33 get women more confident behind the camera. We also heard from Yorkshire
00:40 vet star Peter Wright who told us about what we can expect from series 17 of the
00:44 Channel 5 show and how the industry has changed over his career for young vets.
00:51 We heard from the owner of a beauty salon in Yorkshire who is running 12
00:57 marathons in 12 months for charity and we looked at a film project that's
01:02 telling environmental stories from across Yorkshire and wants people to get
01:05 involved by submitting their own footage. We heard from Paul Worsley who spent his
01:11 career as a barrister and judge and has now edited a book about a gruesome case
01:15 from the 1920s and for Ukraine Independence Day we spoke to a woman who
01:20 fled her homeland to settle in Bradford using the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
01:25 Finally in arts and culture we looked at what's coming up soon at Sheffield
01:29 Theatres and we also heard from a photographer who's exploring grief and
01:32 art in a new exhibition as part of Leeds International Festival of Ideas and
01:37 that's after losing her brother to suicide. There's lots more to come as I
01:44 said in the Yorkshire Post magazine over the weekend and if you want to keep up
01:48 to date with all the Yorkshire Post features content you can sign up to our
01:53 weekly Yorkshire Lifestyle newsletter to hear all about it. There'll be human
01:58 interest pieces, health and environment stories, you'll be able to get news on
02:04 property, fashion and much more.
