00:00 Hi Allure, it's Kelsey Merritt,
00:01 and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
00:04 So I'm gonna do my go-to glowy everyday makeup.
00:11 The first product that I usually use
00:13 is Charlotte Tilbury's Hollywood Flawless Filter,
00:17 and I like to use a darker shade
00:19 just to kind of make myself tan,
00:23 and then I'll use a lighter shade
00:25 to highlight the high points of my face.
00:27 So I'll use two shades.
00:29 (upbeat music)
00:31 This one's in shade 4.5 medium,
00:39 and the earlier one was in shade 5 tan.
00:44 And I like to use this blending brush and just buff it in.
00:49 I love this product 'cause it just gives you
00:51 such a beautiful glow underneath
00:54 that really shows through the concealer and the foundation.
00:58 A trick to finding your shade
00:59 is really understanding your skin's undertone
01:02 and then adjusting the foundation.
01:05 I love this foundation from Laura Mercier.
01:08 I'm using the shade 3N1 Buff,
01:11 and I just use super little amounts of this.
01:14 And this is their foundation brush as well
01:17 that really helps just buff it in really smoothly.
01:22 So I love for my freckles to show,
01:26 and this foundation, I really like it
01:28 'cause I feel like it's buildable,
01:30 but if you just add a thin layer,
01:33 you can still see all of my freckles
01:35 still show through the foundation.
01:38 And I try to avoid putting so much on my nose
01:42 'cause I feel like that's when it looks like
01:44 you have really a lot of foundation on,
01:47 when it looks really heavy here.
01:49 So I try to just make a thin layer on the nose area.
01:54 What I'm trying to achieve is creating
01:57 like a really perfect base and getting rid of redness
02:00 and any imperfections that I see.
02:03 Next, I use this Giorgio Armani concealer
02:07 in a much lighter shade to kind of highlight the areas
02:09 that I wanna highlight, which is like the under eyes.
02:14 And then I like to highlight that.
02:17 So you gotta make sure your beauty blender is damp,
02:20 not wet, but also not dry
02:22 because I used to use my beauty blender dry
02:25 and it was so much harder to use.
02:27 So I just do this.
02:32 And I love this Giorgio Armani concealer
02:35 'cause it doesn't really crease on the under eyes.
02:39 And that's one problem I've found with concealers.
02:43 I like a concealer that is buildable
02:46 'cause sometimes I don't need that much coverage.
02:49 I have an option for a lighter concealer,
02:51 which is from Pat McGrath,
02:53 if I feel like I need more highlighting in the under eyes.
02:57 So it depends what I'm feeling, but I like using both.
03:02 And then for contour,
03:06 I love this product from Charlotte Tilbury.
03:09 It's their contour wand,
03:10 and it's just so easy to use and blend.
03:13 Just need a few because it's very pigmented.
03:21 Put some here and some on my nose.
03:26 I feel like with contour,
03:27 you wanna start with a little
03:31 and then keep adding rather than smearing a lot
03:36 so you have more control over how much you put.
03:38 So this is just kind of like a initial sculpting that I do.
03:43 I like this angled brush from Sigma
03:50 or this Patrick Ta that I actually use.
03:52 It's nice and compact so you can be very precise.
03:57 You can use your hands.
03:59 And then I go back in with my concealer
04:03 and I bring back some highlight here.
04:08 I've been doing this recently,
04:09 and I feel like it just cleans up the contour
04:14 that you just did and really lifts the face.
04:20 I love this powder product from Charlotte Tilbury.
04:22 It's their airbrush flawless finish,
04:25 and this is literally the best
04:27 because I used to be afraid of powder products
04:30 'cause it really mattified me,
04:32 but this one really still keeps the glow underneath
04:36 while setting the makeup that you have.
04:39 I use this product from Laura Mercier, Candle Glow.
04:42 It's a sheer perfecting powder,
04:45 so it has a little more glow to this,
04:48 but it's very light,
04:50 and I set the rest of my face with this product.
04:53 And then for my third powder from Hourglass,
04:56 I kind of love this,
04:57 and I like to just put those right here
05:00 to just give some shine and highlight right there.
05:04 So the makeup is set, and now we go to the eyes.
05:08 I love this product from Ruffy.
05:10 It's their brow sculpt.
05:12 This is one of the few products
05:14 that really keeps my eyebrows up
05:16 and not moving all day.
05:19 And then for the eyes, I like to keep it simple as well.
05:26 I'm using this Pat McGrath
05:29 PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil.
05:31 I'm using this angled precise brush
05:34 and just a precision blend brush.
05:37 I usually will leave my
05:40 eyes bare and just put mascara,
05:45 but I feel like this just adds a little something
05:48 to elongate the eyes.
05:50 And then with the precision blend brush,
05:53 I just blend those to make it softer.
05:57 It kind of elongated my eyes just a little bit
06:00 without having it look too much.
06:03 So I'm gonna take my eyelash curler
06:05 and just go in three times.
06:09 So I go once in the end,
06:11 and then I go in the middle,
06:14 and then I go in the end.
06:15 So it kind of makes a natural curve to the eyelashes
06:19 'cause I have really straight eyelashes.
06:22 So if you don't have that problem,
06:23 you don't need to do what I need to do.
06:26 During shoots, I'll pick up these little things
06:28 from makeup artists, and I'm like,
06:30 "Why do you do that?"
06:32 That's kind of how I learn how to do makeup
06:34 is just being very eager to learn
06:37 from all the professional makeup artists
06:39 through all the shoots.
06:42 I used to hate mascaras
06:44 because I would always look like I cried
06:48 because whatever mascara, waterproof or not,
06:51 it would always run under my eyes
06:53 until I found this product.
06:55 It's a drugstore makeup brand from Japan.
06:58 It has its own specific mascara remover
07:01 because it is that hard to remove,
07:04 and not even oil can get it out.
07:07 So this is the primer.
07:09 I forgot to mention, it's called Heroine Make.
07:12 Oh my God, this one, like, I'm not afraid to go ham.
07:17 So usually when you make a mistake with mascara,
07:19 you wanna let it dry and then correct it
07:23 and then clean it up,
07:24 but this one, once it's dry on your skin,
07:26 it is so hard to take off.
07:28 So you wanna clean it while it's still wet.
07:30 And then I'm gonna go in with the actual mascara,
07:34 and this is like jet black.
07:42 The eyes are done.
07:43 Now we go back to finishing up the face.
07:48 I really love this product from Chanel.
07:49 It's their Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream.
07:53 And this just looks like you've been in the beach all summer
07:57 and you're just naturally glowing and tan.
08:00 So I add this where I had the contour
08:04 just to add more depth.
08:06 And then I add some on my forehead.
08:09 It's just so good.
08:11 I don't know what about it,
08:12 but it just kind of like ties in the whole look.
08:17 And then I also love this bronzer from Kosas.
08:23 It's more like a shimmery bronzer.
08:26 Like I said, we're going for a summer bronzy look,
08:29 so it's a lot of bronzers and glowy stuff.
08:32 I'm using this product from Hourglass.
08:35 It's their Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure.
08:39 And it's this beautiful, like deep color
08:43 that I like to use with all the bronzers
08:45 because it's not too like pink or it's like a deep mauve.
08:50 So I just, I love this product from Tom Ford.
08:55 I love the contour, but I also really love the highlighter.
08:59 Put some on my nose.
09:01 It's very dewy and it's cream,
09:04 so it just looks very natural.
09:10 Put some on my brow bone.
09:13 And lastly, for the lips,
09:15 my friend told me about this product,
09:16 which now I can't live without.
09:18 It's a lip tint.
09:19 Your lips have to be dry when you add this.
09:21 It's purple, but this is the color
09:25 that it's gonna look like.
09:27 You just put on a super thin layer.
09:29 Sorry, it's from Wonderskin, and this shade is in Whimsical.
09:35 It looks scary at first, but it works so fast.
09:39 Kind of blend it together and literally
09:42 take it off right away.
09:45 And it's this beautiful, kind of natural looking lip,
09:51 and it's gonna last you all, all day.
09:57 So then what I do is I just use my Trusted Road Lip Balm,
10:02 and I add that in.
10:07 (lips smacking)
10:10 That's the look.
10:11 And that is my 10-minute beauty routine.
