00:00 Good day of practice, removed a little bit of periods today, but
00:04 we will focus on a little bit more of long drive periods.
00:06 We had some long drive periods in there, kind of test our guys endurance.
00:09 We have some long drives during the season that we want to be able to execute
00:12 high to high level on, so go ahead and open it up.
00:14 >> Some contingencies on the interior offensive line already starting to have
00:17 to be explored a little bit?
00:19 >> Yeah, I mean, we're always alternating who our rotation is to make sure
00:23 that we have great bodies up front.
00:26 >> Junior, capable of doing the left side at this point of the field?
00:30 >> He's been working more probably at the right than he has the left.
00:32 But yeah, these guys are certainly able to work on multiple sides of the ball.
00:36 >> What did you see from Maki since he's gotten,
00:38 it's been a couple weeks since we've talked to you about him, but
00:39 how has that come along?
00:40 >> Yeah, I just think it's a long process when you haven't played football since
00:43 you were in high school.
00:44 So he's progressing every single day and
00:46 gotta see what it looks like for him long term.
00:48 >> The billboards will follow in New York and Dallas,
00:51 kind of recruiting ships that guy's getting, he's like getting guys on the trail.
00:54 >> I think the biggest thing that proves is at the University of Oregon,
00:57 you're gonna have the opportunity to be recognized.
00:59 You're gonna be seen not just at a local level, but at a global level.
01:03 I think that speaks just to the quality of the brand,
01:06 how far it extends and what it means.
01:07 >> What's your involvement in just approving it, the idea of it?
01:12 What was your involvement of it?
01:13 >> Yeah, when it was brought to me, I said that sounds like an awesome opportunity for
01:16 us to get recognition for our guys.
01:17 Obviously, Bo's done a phenomenal job and deserves recognition,
01:20 as well as his team, right?
01:22 But yeah, for me, more than anything, it's like, yeah,
01:24 that sounds like an awesome opportunity for
01:25 Oregon to be recognized at a national level.
01:28 >> But Bo's not somebody that really carries himself with a whole lot of ego to
01:31 him, what was kind of his reaction to being presented in that sort of way?
01:36 >> Bo's grateful for the opportunity.
01:37 On the same note, that's not Bo's focus, right?
01:40 Bo's focused on game one, just like everybody else in our program.
01:42 He's focused on what does he have to do to perform better.
01:45 But again, I think it leads back to when you come to a place like Oregon,
01:48 you get an opportunity to be recognized.
01:49 >> How much was publicity and marketing a part of the pitch for
01:53 him to return and go back to- >> That was not really a factor at all for
01:58 him.
01:58 The factor for him is he felt like he had stuff that he could still accomplish here
02:01 at the college level that he wanted to knock out.
