00:00 It was like a half moon.
00:02 It was like a half moonsault to the side.
00:04 What made Terry Funk want to do a moonsault?
00:11 That's crazy, right?
00:12 What would make Terry Funk want to do a moonsault?
00:17 They said he was middle-aged and crazy.
00:21 Oh my God.
00:26 This is happening in real time here.
00:28 I don't even know if I should read this on the show, but this just came out from Triple
00:34 H. Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who has informed us of the tragic
00:41 news that WWE Family Member for Life, Wyndham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, has unexpectedly
00:48 passed away today.
00:52 Our thoughts are with his family.
00:54 We ask everyone to respect their privacy at this time.
01:00 That just went out right as we were going on air.
01:03 You say Bray Wyatt's passed away?
01:08 That comes from Triple H's official Twitter account.
01:11 Oh my God, man.
01:16 Man, man, man.
01:20 I didn't mean to drop that right there, but I saw it in the chat and then I just confirmed
01:27 it through Triple H's Twitter.
01:30 I mean, I don't even have words, man.
01:35 I don't even have words for it.
01:37 I don't even know what to say.
01:42 We know that he took time off for an undisclosed injury or illness.
01:51 I'm speechless as well.
01:56 This is not what we thought we're going to be talking about at this very moment.
02:02 Should we take a break real quick, book, and gather some thoughts here?
02:04 Yeah, get a break, regroup.
02:05 Stick around, guys.
02:06 You're in the Hall of Fame.
02:07 We'll be back in a sec.
02:08 Welcome back inside the Hall of Fame, guys.
02:09 Booker T, a six-time world champ, along with Brad Gilmore, just finding out the sad news
02:15 that Bray Wyatt, WWE wrestler friend, has passed away.
02:22 Like I said, I really don't even know how to address this.
02:27 I really don't have the words actually put together right now, but I don't even know
02:32 the situation or anything like that.
02:34 I just know, like you said, Bray Wyatt stepped away to take some time off due to an injury.
02:39 I thought we was expecting Bray Wyatt's return to the WWE very soon.
02:49 This is the last thing that I would think, imagine, or have dreamt that we would wake
02:55 up today to this sad, tragic news that we've lost Bray Wyatt.
03:00 Yeah, I'm with you, and I'm sure with our entire chat in the wrestling world right now.
03:07 Unfortunately, we're having to react to this in real time before we have all the information
03:12 and understanding.
03:13 Obviously, Triple H tweeted to have respect for the family and the privacy.
03:22 When he stepped away around WrestleMania time, again, it was reported there was some sort
03:26 of injury, and then I know there was reports of maybe resting and healing back from an
03:32 illness of some kind.
03:36 I really don't even know where to go with this one, but Bray Wyatt, as far as if we
03:41 can talk from a wrestling standpoint, he...
03:44 Actually, I don't even want to talk about his wrestling.
03:47 That doesn't matter right now.
03:48 It's his family that matters, and all of his fans across the world, and the people who,
03:55 as you just said, call him friend.
03:57 This is a very unexpected moment.
03:58 Yeah, every time we lose a soldier, man, we feel the same way.
04:02 Every time we all go through the same grief, every single time, Bray Wyatt, he had kids.
04:08 That's the first thing you think about, especially for me.
04:12 I lost my dad when I was 10 months old, 10 months.
04:16 Something that I have lived with my whole life.
04:20 And I feel...
04:22 That's what my heart goes to, my heart goes to his kids, his wife, his family, and hopefully,
04:27 there again, they can get through this.
04:30 I know it's going to be hard.
04:31 I know it's going to be hard, and something like this is something that perhaps you can
04:34 never get through, seriously.
04:38 Yeah.
04:40 It is hard not to think about his children at this time.
04:43 I think they...
04:44 Yeah, two or three, I believe.
04:47 I'm not exactly sure, but a few kids.
04:50 And like you said, I thought that we were prepping for his comeback.
04:54 It felt like that's where we were.
04:56 Again, he was scheduled back at WrestleMania to wrestle Bobby Lashley, and then that fell
05:02 back and we hadn't heard much since.
05:07 We never knew the extent of anything that he was going through, and obviously, it was
05:10 a private situation that was kept private.
05:13 Again, we know, if you're just listening to us and tuning in, Bray Wyatt, Wyndham Rotunda
05:18 is his real name, unexpectedly passed away today.
05:21 Triple H confirmed the news on his Twitter, on his ex account.
05:27 We don't know anything, and so we can't even speculate on what it could possibly have been.
05:32 There's no information known at this time, but we just send our thoughts and prayers
05:37 with the entire family, his wrestling family as well, the WWE universe, everybody who called
05:44 him a friend, a father.
05:51 And I will say this too, just to talk about the character that he portrayed.
05:56 He had so many people just organically get behind him.
06:00 He had the way of captivating you on the screen.
06:03 I'm sure he had the same way of captivating you in a room.
06:06 I never had the privilege to meet Bray Wyatt, but I never heard a bad word said about him
06:11 from anybody.
06:12 He seemed like a guy who lived and breathed the business, was incredibly creative, a visionary
06:19 in some ways, and even if not everyone always understood the vision that he had, you knew
06:25 that he was 100% creative and in his zone and in his element when creating that character
06:31 on screen.
06:33 I know, as you said, he's got a wife and kids, and that's where our minds should be, but
06:39 this was definitely unexpected.
06:41 Now we were just talking about Terry Funk as we got this news, and again, we want to
06:46 send our condolences to Terry Funk's family as well.
06:49 At the same time, a great Texan was Terry Funk, and this is a sad 24 hours if you're
06:57 a pro wrestling fan to lose a legend like Terry and somebody who we didn't even get
07:03 to see his best yet.
07:05 His best was yet to come for Bray Wyatt.
07:09 Just yeah, I don't know where to go on that one, bro.
07:14 Nah, man.
07:16 You know, it's always, like I say, what you do in between your birth date and your death
07:22 date.
07:23 Like you said, you're not going to hear any bad words about Bray.
07:28 I sat and I talked with that kid many, many times, and he seemed well grounded, someone
07:36 who knew exactly what he wanted, someone who had direction and purpose.
07:43 And then we wake up, you know, 36 years old, he's not here.
07:47 This is one of those moments, you know, there again where I say, you know, if you got a
07:55 loved one, you might want to hug them a little tighter, you know, because none of us are
08:01 promised tomorrow.
08:02 You know what I mean?
08:04 It's just one of those things, you know.
08:07 God is going to call all of us one day, you know, and we don't know when that day is
08:12 going to be.
08:13 That's why I say enjoy, enjoy every day on this earth that you possibly can.
08:17 And you'll try to smile every day.
08:19 Hug the one you love.
08:21 That's the only thing you really can do.
08:24 That's it.
08:25 Yeah.
08:26 According to Fightful.com, who's reporting more on the story, says that Wyatt had been
08:31 actively recovering from an illness that was described as career and life threatening.
08:35 WWE and Wyatt had been taking extra precautions before he returned to TV to make sure his
08:40 long term health was accounted for.
08:43 Again, I had heard that, but this is all speculation at this point.
08:46 Yeah, I read that too, but I didn't know what that meant.
08:49 I didn't know what that meant either.
08:51 This had been, you know, stuff like that had been reported.
08:53 But again, at this time, you know, I probably shouldn't even read that.
08:56 We should just respect the family and their privacy.
08:58 And you know, we're not going to hear it.
09:02 You know, we don't know what we don't know what happened, nor should we feel entitled
09:06 to know what happened.
09:08 That's between his family, his fiance, his kids.
09:12 And we'll see where where the story unfolds.
09:16 But again, I know Booker at 36 years old.
09:19 I mean, that's when I start thinking like, wow, you know, I'm about to turn 31 in December.
09:24 You start looking at someone who's 36.
09:25 I mean, that's my sister's age.
09:27 You know, you think that they're around forever.
09:30 This is completely shocking.
09:32 It's just shocking.
09:33 And like I said, I'm rarely at a loss of how to get back on track.
09:38 But this is one that I did not expect to be discussing right now.
09:44 You know, I'll remember his WrestleMania match with The Undertaker and his WrestleMania match
09:49 with John Cena.
09:50 I mean, those are things I'm thinking of from a fan's perspective.
09:52 But this was just terrible, just terrible, terrible to hear.
09:55 It's terrible news.
09:56 It's sad news.
09:57 And like you said, I don't even know how to process it.
10:00 This is a sad show, guys.
10:03 Yeah.
10:04 This is something I'm trying to make do with it.
10:07 But this is a sad show.
10:08 But one thing I think I know about Bray, you know, he would want us to, you know, carry
10:15 on and push through.
10:16 You know, I think, you know, that's the mentality of most of the boys.
10:20 You know, show must go on.
10:22 Show must go on.
10:23 Let's get through it.
10:24 You know, we got a couple more segments, you know what I mean?
10:26 And, you know, we'll definitely miss Bray Wyatt.
10:30 He will always be in our heart.
10:32 His family will always be in my prayers.
10:36 He'll be well missed.
10:38 He'll be well missed.
