00:00 What do you call a leader without followers, man?
00:07 Who do you pray to when your God is banished from his own kingdom?
00:14 What happens to the snake after it swallows itself, tail and all questions?
00:21 Questions.
00:23 But the biggest question of them all, when a man loses everything, what does he have left?
00:33 Have you ever caught a fly in your mouth? I have. I did it while I was cycling.
00:45 It's f***ing horrible.
00:47 Hello, I'm Adam Hailing from PartsFarKnown. We're talking about Bray Wyatt.
00:51 Here's the plan. Three episodes of How Adam Would Book, each one looking at a phase of Bray Wyatt's career.
00:56 Because in terms of wrestling myth and lore, in terms of crafting one unbroken narrative for one single character,
01:03 Bray Wyatt is the most interesting wrestling gimmick, potentially of all time, behind The Undertaker and Kane.
01:08 Also, every single stage of his wrestling life has been marred by this pervasive sense of disappointment,
01:14 like the later years of Undertaker and Kane.
01:17 Bray presents a shiny new toy to WWE creative and they take it, they try to eat it, get sad when they cut,
01:23 and they just smash it against the ground and it's dead.
01:26 The Fiend, I've already covered in this video. Look, here it is. Watch it and send me presents.
01:32 The White Rabbit phase, we'll cover that next month once we've had a little chance to see where that story might be going.
01:37 Is the Wyatt Six a stable? Is it like a split situation with all the characters and Bray's head?
01:43 Whatever it is, I'll have a go at that next month. We've done The Fiend.
01:47 And before all of that, I want to go back to the beginning. Back to the trees.
01:54 [WHISTLING]
02:01 See, the thing you've all forgotten is it's not about the flower.
02:09 It ain't about the fruit on the branch. No.
02:15 It's always been about the roots, man.
02:23 It's all about what's growing under the dirt.
02:30 Bray Wyatt started life in FCW when Husky Harris got lost in the woods
02:36 and something deep in the trees picked him as a new vessel.
02:41 Out of those trees walked Bray Wyatt, a cross between Waylon Mercy, Max Cady and Charles Manson,
02:47 cutting cryptic promos in the woods surrounded by backwards followers
02:52 and the occasional woman draped on a tree branch. What's her story?
02:57 His first acolyte was Eli Cottonwood, who had possibly the best Wyatt family name,
03:01 but also couldn't cut a promo if his life depended on it.
03:05 And Bray finally made his in-ring debut in what was then known as NXT.
03:10 His first son was the late, great Luke Harper, a.k.a. Mr. Brodie Lee,
03:16 with Erick Rowan following on shortly as his second.
03:19 Bray called himself the Angel of the Dirt, a figure that the people didn't understand, but they would.
03:26 In his world, where he'd kiss his opponents before hitting them with Sister Abigail,
03:30 he was a man of judgment and love, healing and hurting when hand in hand.
03:37 He will save you, but only if you let him in.
03:42 The family debuted on Raw in July 2013 with people chanting Husky Harris at Bray
03:46 because people only want change until they f*cking get it.
03:49 They targeted Kane and Bray had a ring of fire match, which was honestly a bit sh*t,
03:54 but from there things got better and fast.
03:57 Then came the feuds with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, two of the top stars in the company in 2013,
04:03 with the Bryan feud paying off in an awesome match at Royal Rumble.
04:07 That used to be one of my favourite matches. It used to be.
04:11 The Wyatts had a one-month feud with The Shield, which was an all-NXT victory lap,
04:15 not only in producing all of these characters, but also having a feud built less on heel-face dynamic
04:20 and more on "hey, wouldn't it be cool if these two cool teams fought each other?"
04:24 And they did, and it was really cool.
04:26 Then came the feud with Cena and...
04:29 I mean, what more could be said about this feud that even WWE haven't said themselves?
04:33 It was a wrong loss at the wrong time, and whether or not it was intentional,
04:36 it began the slow decline of Bray Wyatt from a fearsome competitor tipped for great things
04:41 to an unfocused Halloween nutcase who'd show up, repeat a series of weightless riddles at his opponent,
04:47 then either lose or win via bargain basement fright night David Pumpkin's bullsh*t.
04:53 It was a mess. He ping-ponged from feud to feud, being buffed and nerfed in power
04:59 depending on who they wanted him to lose to that week.
05:02 And honestly, it's not all about wins and losses.
05:06 It's not as simple as Bray lost, therefore bad booking.
05:09 But he's a cult leader. He is a gimmick with an explicit purpose to spread a message.
05:16 And hey, there are tons of cults out there with inconsistency and hack platitude-based ideology.
05:21 Let's just call them Tories.
05:23 And unlike a lot of other WWE characters, that gives Bray Wyatt a very black and white definition of success.
05:28 If he increases his following, he is a good cult leader. If he doesn't, he is a bad cult leader.
05:33 And over the course of six years, Bray only properly added one person to his family
05:38 without it being some sort of insider take-them-down-from-within plot,
05:42 and that's Braun Strowman back in the days when he was a lumbering man-cow
05:46 and not the person who wasn't finished with Roman.
05:48 Wins and losses aside, there's only so much people can invest in a character that talks a big game,
05:55 but is relentlessly, demonstrably bad at his job.
06:01 See also the Tories.
06:03 From 2015 to 2017, it was a really dark time to be a Bray Wyatt fan.
06:08 WWE couldn't keep its story straight on what it wanted Bray to actually be.
06:11 His power was in his family until they randomly disbanded at the end of 2014 for no reason.
06:16 Do you f***ing remember that? Before being reunited equally randomly?
06:20 Was he magic? He seemed to have the power to make rocking chairs appear out of thin air.
06:24 He seemed to have the power to make himself appear out of thin air.
06:27 Yet other times, he was a false messiah whose only power was in his words
06:30 until he threw a f***ing doily on his head to become a Sister Abigail alter ego
06:36 that was quickly cancelled amidst mumps and mockery.
06:39 Was his power all smoke and mirrors and maggots on ring canvas, or was it real?
06:44 Like, I don't know, with his f***ing haunted tractor.
06:47 What the f*** is that?
06:49 Bray became such a mishmash of random disparate horror tropes
06:53 without a single unifying aim or voice.
06:56 They became just tiresome.
06:58 A floundering preacher, brain addled and lost,
07:01 repeating lines from a script that had long lost its meaning.
07:04 Then came The Fiend. We've covered that in this video.
07:08 But for this channel, for PFK, I've never actually done a deep dive
07:12 on what I personally wanted from Bray Wyatt on his first go around.
07:18 Well then, let me have a go.
07:21 Who am I?
07:32 What do I believe in?
07:36 What can I do with the wave of my hand?
07:41 You don't know.
07:44 None of you know.
07:47 But you will.
07:50 I'm going to hate doing this.
07:58 Literally, this is me saying that I know better than one of the most creative individual minds in wrestling.
08:03 I'm just going to say, I'm saying this, this is all I'm saying.
08:06 I'm being explicit here, so you don't accuse me.
08:09 Look, I'm just saying, I think I have a better idea of how to handle the character than WWE creative did.
08:18 Whoever's idea it was to throw a Nans curtain over Bray's head, I am better than them.
08:23 And only them.
08:24 Couple of changes on the ground floor.
08:26 First of all, cut the spooky bollocks, by which I mean Bray Wyatt does not have magical powers,
08:32 including teleportation.
08:34 You know the whole,
08:35 that is a good sting and creates a nice like palpable shock.
08:40 But spooky dolls, haunted chairs and creepy kids with admittedly impressive baritones are not what makes Bray Wyatt f***ing scary.
08:48 There's one scary shot in all of the Bray Wyatt B-rolls.
08:52 I'm doing the crab walk on the ceiling.
08:54 It's this one.
08:55 This one here.
08:56 The shot of Bray, arms outstretched with a horde of faceless people raising their hands to him.
09:03 Blind loyalty in an unfamiliar environment.
09:07 A family of intent, blood, cause and some form of love.
09:13 That image scares me more than any number of times Bray does the exorcist thing or pushes a dirty fridge on someone.
09:19 Bray's power is his following, his family.
09:22 The fact that there are enough of them and they're in the f***ing trees.
09:26 The fact that with enough intimidation, enough promises, enough hurt and healing,
09:31 anyone can be brought under his spell.
09:33 He's like a social virus.
09:35 Someone who amplifies the worst, most selfish aspects of everyone around him.
09:39 He uses those instincts, stokes them with lies all to install himself in a seat of power.
09:45 F***ing Tories again.
09:47 To also further and better tell that story, I'm going to start Bray Wyatt off with one more member of his family from the jump.
09:51 From the first instant he sets foot on Raw in July 2013, his followers include Luke Harper, Eric Rowan and Cassius Ohno.
10:00 They're named as Noah Cassidy as I think that has a bit more backwards biblical to it.
10:05 Another great wrestler, another great beard circa 2013, another body to accomplish two things.
10:10 Make Bray seem like even more powerful a leader and to make it so that Bray Wyatt doesn't actually have to wrestle.
10:17 Bray's a good wrestler to be clear, especially when acting as a brutal power base to a smaller opponent.
10:22 But him stepping in the ring could and should only be the nuclear option.
10:26 After all, what are followers for than carrying out the wills of the prophet?
10:31 So no spooky sh*t, no vague sh*t either.
10:34 Bray is intensely clear in his messaging from the get go.
10:37 If you join the family, you will receive everything you ever wanted.
10:42 Glory, love, a home.
10:45 But the golden rule, the family will give you everything, but everything you receive is for the family.
10:52 It all stays within the circle.
10:56 All of this is very much in a wrestling context.
10:58 Another issue with Bray Wyatt is that one that plagues a lot of really heightened gimmicks.
11:03 What do you want? Why have you chosen wrestling to achieve those ends?
11:07 And how does wrestling actually help you?
11:09 Why have you chosen the small pants baby oil brigade to ply your trade as an undertaker, a repo man or a cult leader?
11:19 I've got answers to that. WWE have a global television program,
11:23 something that has the potential to be in millions of homes every single week.
11:27 Bray wants that. Bray controls WWE.
11:30 Bray puts out his message.
11:33 Bray has unfiltered access to millions of homes to preach his particular gospel
11:38 because Bray knows exactly how tribal wrestling fans can be,
11:43 how prone they are to hero worship and how easily the hero worship can be monetized and turned into anger.
11:50 T-shirts, sheep's masks and rage.
11:53 Bray is a golden God on a micro level.
11:56 How does he use wrestling to achieve his ends?
11:58 By using lies to make a following, by using the following to capture gold,
12:03 by offering the gold to other wrestlers, giving them offers they can't refuse,
12:07 using the fact his followers are all intimidating fighters as a force to police and dominate itself.
12:12 And so he grows and grows.
12:14 On a very easy to understand visceral level, wrestling is a system that can be gained by sheer numbers.
12:20 There is only one referee who can only be in one place at one time,
12:24 unless it's no disqualification, which case the numbers game is even more blatant.
12:27 Wyatt walks into WWE with a simple numbers advantage and squeezes it for all its worth,
12:34 all while not actually wrestling himself.
12:37 So let's begin. The family debut in July 2013 and attack not Kane, but Cesaro.
12:43 In this timeline, I'm afraid to say that Big Toad never joins the real Americans.
12:47 My apologies to you, the people.
12:49 All four members of the family debut surround him, brutalize him.
12:53 Bray kneels over Cesaro saying, "We're here to help you. Walk with me through the tree."
13:00 And then he walks away.
13:04 I come from the woods, man.
13:07 Deep in the trees.
13:10 Easy to get lost in the woods.
13:15 Get turned around.
13:17 I was taught by the woods to know a path you have to walk.
13:23 The only way.
13:26 Now I got two paths for you, man.
13:30 I got the path of hurt.
13:34 And I got the path of heal.
13:36 And before you choose, I gotta walk you down both.
13:41 Don't worry.
13:45 You'll be safe soon.
13:47 You'll be safe.
13:51 At Money in the Bank, a battle royal is held to determine a challenger to Curtis Axel's IC title.
13:58 Later in the show, Harper, Rowan and Cassidy insert themselves into the match with Bray at ringside
14:03 and use their unified front to eliminate the competition.
14:07 At the end, all three followers are in the ring and following Bray's instruction,
14:11 Rowan, Cassidy, they both jump over the top rope to the floor, leaving Harper in the ring.
14:19 Bray's authority, fanatical loyalty and numbers game established in one fell swoop.
14:25 Later in the show, with that same numbers game, Luke Harper wins the IC title from Curtis Axel.
14:30 Between Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, Wyatt and Co keep attacking Cesaro,
14:35 constantly beating him down, offering him a match for the title at SummerSlam.
14:40 Harper versus Cesaro, because yes, I also remember Chikara.
14:45 The two men beat the front door off each other, numbers game keeps coming into play,
14:49 one family causes distraction, the other slides in the ring to knock Cesaro down until the end
14:54 when Bray stands from his rocking chair at ringside and says, "That's enough.
14:59 Show them what it means to be a family."
15:03 Harper lies down, Cesaro stands there looking confused, covers Harper, one, two, three.
15:10 Cesaro wins the Intercontinental Championship and the family stand there on the ramp as he celebrates,
15:15 waits for him to walk up the ramp to the back, parts ways to let him through.
15:20 In coming weeks, the family keep helping Cesaro retain his title,
15:24 and any time he pushes back, they physically destroy him.
15:28 It's dark stuff, but it's Cult 101.
15:30 Obedience is met with overwhelming love.
15:33 Disobedience is met with overwhelming punishment, hurt, healing.
15:38 And slowly but surely, Cesaro grows out his beard and his hair, if he can,
15:44 accepts the boiler suit and the sheet mask, joins the family.
15:48 Same thing happens with Sheamus.
15:50 They use numbers games to put the belt on Noah Cassidy.
15:53 They hand the belt off to Sheamus in a match, but accepting the belt this way
15:57 is basically making a deal with the devil.
15:59 He will hand you the glory, and he will make sure you keep it,
16:03 but then you belong to the family.
16:05 And you can never leave the family.
16:07 But really, why would you want to leave the family?
16:10 Sheamus becomes a member of the Wyatt family, so does Wade Barrett.
16:13 Cesaro is ordered to lay down for Barrett, punished until he does so.
16:18 More and more sheet masks appear in the crowd.
16:20 Cesaro and Cassidy, the team formerly known as the Kings of Wrestling,
16:24 challenge the Shield for the tag titles and come up short,
16:27 the beginning of a rivalry with the Shield.
16:29 When they fail, Bray orders the whole family in the ring
16:32 and gets them to beat up their brothers.
16:35 Your brothers are here for you.
16:37 They're here to hurt you because they're the only ones who can heal you.
16:40 You have no one else, no one else who loves you like we do.
16:45 Hit 'em again, boys.
16:47 At the Royal Rumble, Wyatt sits at ringside throughout the entire Rumble match.
16:50 He still hasn't wrestled.
16:52 The family dominate the middle portion of the Rumble
16:54 as Bray preaches from his rocking chair at ringside,
16:58 promises the win to his first son, Luke Harper,
17:01 but his plans are ruined by John Cena,
17:03 who arrives, tosses out a few members of the family,
17:05 with the Shield teaming up to take care of the rest.
17:08 Cena locks eyes with Wyatt at ringside.
17:10 Wyatt just smiles at him.
17:14 When you're raised in the forest,
17:19 you're taught some things.
17:22 How to spot a wolf in the trees.
17:28 You're the big bad wolf, John.
17:31 But I am the tree.
17:35 And I will swallow you whole.
17:38 I will expose you as a false prophet.
17:43 And I'll cure you, man.
17:48 I'll show you a better way.
17:51 [laughs]
17:56 So begins a year-long campaign to indoctrinate John Cena.
18:01 2014 will be the year of the family in WWE.
18:05 Harper, Rowan, Cassidy, Barrett, Sheamus, Cesaro,
18:11 Curtis Axel joins the fold.
18:13 Same with the Usos. The family grows.
18:15 But Bray develops a fixation. He wants Cena.
18:19 With Cena comes everything.
18:22 All of what this has been for, control of WWE,
18:25 and with it, the gospel.
18:26 At WrestleMania, the match is set.
18:28 John Cena versus Bray Wyatt.
18:30 Bray's first official match since the family debuted
18:33 almost a year earlier.
18:34 Bray Wyatt beats John Cena, kneels over him.
18:38 You're not ready yet, John.
18:40 I don't have what you want yet, what you need.
18:43 But I will.
18:45 Also on the card, the feud with The Shield is still burning bright
18:47 as the former Kings of Wrestling and Harper take on The Shield
18:50 in a six-man tag match that I just think sounds nice.
18:53 The Shield win.
18:55 The family continue their feud with The Shield,
18:57 with Bray constantly trying to stoke divisions
18:59 within The Shield, recognizing them as the greatest threat
19:02 the family has ever faced, the greatest united front.
19:05 Instead of trying to fight them from without,
19:07 he tries to tear them apart from within,
19:09 basically taking over the role that the Authority had
19:12 in the breakup of The Shield.
19:13 Eventually he succeeds and seduces Seth Rollins
19:16 away from his brothers.
19:18 And at Money in the Bank, the entire Wyatt cult
19:20 turn out to help their new acolyte Seth
19:23 win the Money in the Bank briefcase.
19:26 The same show, Wyatt personally interferes
19:29 in the main event ladder match for the vacant world title
19:32 and helps John Cena win the belt.
19:35 Cena didn't ask for his help and Wyatt just smiles at him.
19:38 So, Bray Wyatt the Virus is growing and spreading,
19:42 using a wrestler's innate lust for gold, money,
19:46 a better spot, exploiting those selfish qualities
19:49 to turn brother against brother and have wrestlers
19:52 lose themselves in this ever-growing cult,
19:55 this mad preacher extolling his gospel every single week.
19:59 This all leads to SummerSlam, one year after the family
20:02 converted their first member and the show is themed around them,
20:06 much like WWE versus The Nexus.
20:08 At SummerSlam, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
20:11 versus Seth Rollins and Luke Harper.
20:14 And also on the card, Bray Wyatt versus Triple H.
20:19 (static)
20:20 - You think you're safe, don't you?
20:24 The king and his kingdom.
20:27 You think just 'cause the drawbridge is up
20:32 that the walls will keep you safe, man.
20:35 No.
20:36 You already let me in.
20:40 You let the devil in your backyard.
20:44 The devil liked it.
20:47 Now the devil has decided to stay.
20:53 (laughs)
20:55 Run.
20:57 (static)
20:58 Like The Nexus coming in and collectively putting their dicks
21:01 in WWE's suit, the WWE family are now riding roughshod
21:05 over the company, controlling most of the titles.
21:09 Triple H cannot have that and steps up to Wyatt.
21:13 One of them must be banished from the company.
21:16 Bray Wyatt wins and essentially removes the authority
21:20 from WWE for now because that's all part of Bray's plan
21:24 to control the message, to bend Monday Night Raw
21:28 to his will, important.
21:30 Brock Lesnar in the main event still absolutely crushes
21:32 John Cena.
21:33 Bray uses this loss to again try to bring Cena
21:37 into the family, try and show him the love,
21:39 how the family can help him finally secure his legacy.
21:42 16 World Championships, John.
21:45 Tie the record.
21:47 Go down in history as undeniably one of the greatest
21:51 of all time.
21:52 Rematch between Cena and Brock at Night of Champions,
21:55 this time with the Wyatt family pledging to be in Cena's
21:58 corner whether he likes it or not because they love him
22:01 and care about him whether he likes it or not.
22:04 During the match, the ref goes down and the Wyatts swarm
22:07 Brock Lesnar with the final Sister Abigail being delivered
22:10 by Bray Wyatt.
22:11 They offer the body of Lesnar to him and tells John,
22:14 "Pin him, John. Pin him. Achieve your legacy."
22:18 But Cena refuses. Not like this.
22:21 This way he'll be like everyone else in the family,
22:23 indebted to Bray, a corrupted version of himself.
22:27 This indecision gives Lesnar enough time to recover,
22:29 destroy half the members of the family.
22:31 It looks like Brock has Bray cornered,
22:33 but Seth Rollins sacrifices himself attacking Brock
22:36 and eating an F5 instead for Brock F5 Cena twice
22:39 and retains his title.
22:41 Wyatt furious at being spurned, Wyatt dedicates the family
22:45 to the destruction of John Cena and this is when things
22:50 really start to fall apart.
22:53 Wyatt becomes a man possessed.
22:55 In reality, he has everything he wants.
22:58 He has a platform for his sermons.
23:00 His followers still hold most of the gold in the company,
23:02 but no, it's about Cena, the one man who seemingly
23:05 can't be corrupted.
23:07 Here comes Bray's pastel t-shirt wearing white whale.
23:11 Just imagining a whale wearing John Cena's armbands.
23:14 Please Photoshop that, Rich.
23:16 [ding]
23:17 Ooh, I hate that.
23:19 Wyatt goes to war, promises to make Cena's life
23:21 a living hell until he relents, until he gives in,
23:24 until he joins them.
23:27 At Hell in a Cell, Cena versus Wyatt inside the cell.
23:31 A match that, looking forward to the reaction here,
23:33 I'm really looking forward to it.
23:35 John Cena wins!
23:37 Sorry!
23:38 When Seth Rollins breaks into the cell, maybe by diving
23:41 through the roof and accidentally blindsides Bray
23:44 with the briefcase, Cena beats Wyatt.
23:47 Also on the Hell in a Cell card, the Usos fail to capture
23:50 the tag titles, or worse, they already had them
23:52 and they lose them.
23:54 Afterwards, Bray dedicates a segment on Raw to the punishment
23:56 of the Usos, but especially Seth Rollins.
24:00 He never deals with any violence himself.
24:02 Instead, he says Seth's brothers are going to do that.
24:04 All members of the Wyatt family line up to give Rollins
24:06 a beating until Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose run in to help.
24:10 Seth betrayed them, but he's an occult.
24:13 If no one else can get him out of it, maybe they can
24:16 bring him back to who he used to be.
24:18 Roman is able to get the Usos to come to their senses
24:21 and renounce Bray.
24:22 That costs them a severe beatdown.
24:24 They try to reach through to Seth.
24:26 They offer him the fist bump, but he can't and won't listen,
24:29 joining the attack on the Usos.
24:31 That Survivor Series, the Wyatt family, Seth, Harper,
24:34 Cassidy, Cesaro, and Bray, versus Cena, Ambrose, Reigns,
24:38 and the Usos.
24:39 I know the hernia stuff happened with Roman,
24:41 but it's an alternate timeline, so maybe that injury didn't happen.
24:44 Just give me some f***ing slack.
24:46 The Wyatt family come out on top with Seth and Bray
24:48 being the only two survivors.
24:50 Wyatt refuses to relent in his obsession with Cena
24:54 and keeps the war going, alternatively foisting
24:57 all of his love on his new favorite child, Seth,
25:00 whilst also punishing him the hardest.
25:02 Whenever he steps out of line, Bray tells Seth Rollins
25:05 the family needs him now more than ever.
25:08 I need you, Seth.
25:09 Sign over your Money in the Bank contract to me.
25:12 Seth doesn't want to do it, but eventually he relents
25:14 and gives Bray the briefcase, which Bray cashes in
25:18 there and then for a shot at Brock Lesnar
25:21 at the Royal Rumble.
25:22 At the Royal Rumble, Bray faces off against Brock.
25:24 First time he's ever gone for a championship.
25:26 First time he's ever sought the glory for himself
25:28 over the members of his family.
25:31 But it's all part of a plan.
25:32 Other members of the family, Cesaro, Sheamus,
25:34 they lose their titles.
25:36 He has them punished, beaten by other members
25:38 of the family, but rallies them round soon, my brothers.
25:42 So soon.
25:43 Soon.
25:45 Soon.
25:47 At the Royal Rumble, two things happen.
25:50 Bray Wyatt uses the family to win the WWE Championship.
25:55 Basically by feeding them and feeding them
25:58 and feeding them to Brock Lesnar
26:00 until he eventually gets too worn out
26:02 and finally Bray wins.
26:04 Then there's the Rumble match.
26:06 Bray assembles the family before the match.
26:08 They have one goal, one mission.
26:09 John Cena must win the Royal Rumble
26:13 and face Bray at WrestleMania.
26:15 I got what you need, John.
26:19 I finally got what you need.
26:23 I got your legacy, John.
26:26 I got your legacy in my hands.
26:30 Take it from me, John.
26:33 At WrestleMania, take it from my hands.
26:37 Everything you ever wanted.
26:40 He's got the whole world
26:46 in his hands.
26:50 He's got the whole wide world
26:54 in his hands.
26:58 But it doesn't happen.
27:00 The family dominate the Rumble
27:02 with Bray sat in his rocking chair at ringside
27:05 with the title over his shoulder
27:07 so that John can see it.
27:09 But the plan falls apart.
27:10 At one point, Seth, Roman and Dean
27:13 find themselves all together in the ring.
27:15 Roman and Dean look at Seth, see he's been brainwashed
27:18 and offer him the shield fist bump
27:21 and Seth accepts.
27:23 When Harper, Rowan and Cassidy rush in,
27:25 beat all three men down,
27:26 the family throw out Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns
27:29 as Seth watches and that awakens something in him.
27:31 He starts to realize everything he sacrificed
27:35 for the Wyatt family, all for nothing.
27:38 All in this fruitless quest to turn John Cena
27:42 and he starts trying to win the Royal Rumble.
27:46 Seth Rollins ousts Harper, Rowan, Cassidy.
27:49 It finally comes down to Cena vs. Rollins
27:52 as the final two in the Royal Rumble.
27:54 At ringside, Bray orders Seth to eliminate himself
27:57 but Seth refuses, eliminating John Cena.
28:00 Seth Rollins wins the 2015 Royal Rumble
28:04 which leads us to WrestleMania 31.
28:05 Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins for the title.
28:08 Bray forgets about Cena and tries to destroy Seth Rollins,
28:12 expels him from the family,
28:14 make his life a living hell.
28:16 And this is when the family really crumbles.
28:18 The treatment of Seth, one of their own,
28:21 seeing Bray holding the title,
28:23 everyone realizes they've been hoodwinked
28:26 with all family members leaving
28:27 apart from Harper, Rowan and Cassidy, the core group.
28:32 At WrestleMania itself, Seth wrestles Bray
28:34 and during the main event,
28:35 there's a run-in from the rest of the Shield.
28:36 In the fallout, even the core family walk out on Bray too
28:40 with Harper, Rowan and Cassidy walking to the back.
28:42 Seth beats Bray for the title in the main event,
28:45 kicking off the year of Rollins, baby face WWE champion
28:49 while Bray loses everything and disappears
28:52 back into the woods alone, destroyed by his own ego,
28:57 pride and obsession.
28:58 But perhaps in the woods, in those trees,
29:02 Bray might find something in his desperation
29:06 even more dangerous.
29:09 And that is how I would book Bray Wyatt's first run in WWE.
29:14 Did you hate it? Let me know.
