00:00 what game do you want to do?
00:02 I feel extremely comfortable where we're at offensively right now.
00:05 And I think you guys saw the kind of groove that Dave got into play calling
00:09 wise, and not just Dave, but everybody understanding the flow of our game,
00:14 what we're trying to get accomplished.
00:15 I think we could have run 20 play action keepers, but
00:18 we wouldn't have gotten any run in the war game.
00:20 So just we did everything, all the little things right today,
00:23 and on that second drive especially.
00:26 So we just kind of capitalized later in the game on finishing in the end zone
00:31 instead of field goals.
00:32 But yeah, it was a good outing for us.
00:35 >> Bigger you bet Tristan were six foot five, 345 pounds,
00:40 blocking for Rashad.
00:41 >> Wouldn't be heavier than that.
00:43 >> [LAUGH] >> It might be.
00:44 >> What's your impression?
00:46 You hit off the ball and you see Rashad go for nine yards and 78s.
00:50 Final in the hole, then look at us three and one.
00:52 >> I mean, the guy's, he's a stud.
00:54 There's no way around it.
00:55 He's an all pro right tackle.
00:57 There's no doubt he'll be an all pro left tackle.
00:59 Just handles his business.
01:02 He's young, but he's a pro.
01:03 So you can only ask to have guys like that on your team,
01:07 just how he's handled it and how he continues to handle it.
01:10 It's just he's not entitled by any means, same work ethic he's had.
01:14 And so you see exactly why he's so good.
01:17 >> And Rashad in terms of running the ball.
01:19 >> Yeah, and Rashad, just his tempo.
01:21 He's not exactly a flashy guy, real smooth.
01:24 And so when it comes to our schemes,
01:25 his running style is really gonna help us out.
01:28 Following the center tracks and just being able to time up and
01:32 make the right cuts.
01:32 So I mean, and people sleep on his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield too.
01:36 He's extremely talented and athletic in that regard.
01:40 Yeah, we're lucky to have such a great group on the offense.
01:42 >> Bigger, there's a lot of really young players on the squad in the offense.
01:46 After this preseason has concluded, how do you feel about that going forward?
01:51 >> I feel extremely comfortable.
01:52 Obviously, unfortunate that we lost Russell Gage when we went to New York to
01:56 practice against the Jets.
01:57 But I think you guys have seen that Rakeem Garrett and
02:00 Trey Palmer have made a ton of plays for us.
02:02 And we're really, really happy about that.
02:04 So just the more reps those young guys get, the more confident they get.
02:08 And so we're just really happy about their grasp of the offense right now too.
02:12 Normally, rookies' heads are kind of spinning, but that's not the case with them.
02:15 >> We kind of saw how the run game in the past came married together with this
02:19 offense, could you just talk a little bit about how you like seeing that and
02:24 how it works for you?
02:25 >> Yeah, I mean, I think the easiest way to put it is you just put the defense
02:30 on their heels.
02:31 So you make the run game look just like your play action and vice versa.
02:35 So it just keeps them off balance.
02:37 We're not reinventing the wheel with our scheme.
02:39 Just formationally and personnel wise, we're able to get in and
02:42 out of the huddle and do a lot of things and be pretty versatile.
02:45 So it's a good tape to be able to build on and
02:49 just see our identity heading into the first week to where it's real ball.
02:52 And so guys understand that we have to have both the run game and
02:56 the pass game to succeed.
02:57 >> You went four for four with Chris Gotland in there.
02:59 I know you've got a lot of work in practice.
03:01 What's that like to be able to hit up like that in game?
03:03 >> He's pretty damn easy to throw to, I'll say that.
03:05 >> [LAUGH] >> Guys can be draped all over him.
03:08 He's gonna make contested catches.
03:10 He's just a true professional.
03:12 And so love having those guys out there.
03:14 And it'll be fun to have Mike out there as well week one.
03:17 >> How would you compare this offense to other offenses you've played in, Baker?
03:20 >> Similar to the LA system that I had the five game stretch at the end of the year.
03:24 There's some similarities in what we were trying to do in Cleveland.
03:29 Whether the 12, 13 personnel play action game.
03:33 Just like we mentioned, it's about the marriage of the running pass.
03:36 So you have to have that and that's where we're headed.
03:39 >> You feel like you've had enough work with the first unit and
03:42 in games to be ready for week one?
03:44 >> Yeah, I mean, it's always the question in preseason.
03:47 Are you gonna play your guys or not?
03:48 But we've had a ton of work in practice as well.
03:50 We've had a lot of good work, so I think we're ready.
03:54 I truly believe that.
03:56 We'll see you in week one.
