Official opening of MLC Funerals in Little Common, East Sussex

The new funeral business officially opened on August 26 2023 and is on Cooden Sea Road, Little Common.

00:00 I'm Brett Maclean, I'm Director of MLC Funerals, which is your brand new funeral directors

00:06 in Liddle Common based at number 20 Coodonsea Road.

00:11 So we're a brand new, literally brand new establishment.

00:15 We want to add value to Liddle Common village and to the District of Wather by being a compassionate,

00:22 caring and considerate funeral directors that values death as we value life.

00:29 So often in death something new is created, so in tribute to my late parents, Reg and

00:36 Maureen and my uncle Colin, MLC Funerals has been born.

00:42 As part of our commitment to the village and to those that are suffering from bereavement,

00:50 we want to ensure that we support them as much as possible.

00:56 So we're offering a 24 hour telephone support service, we're offering a celebrancy service

01:04 and we're also offering complimentary bereavement counselling to those that are suffering a

01:09 bereavement.

01:11 Often when a relative becomes a memory, that is when people are at their most vulnerable

01:17 and as such we want to make sure we're there for them.

01:20 So MLC Funerals will be operated Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm and at weekends by appointments

01:27 only but we are a 24 hour service and we're here to help serve and support the community.

01:35 So this afternoon we have the official opening of MLC Funerals in Coodonsea Road.

01:42 So we have John Ash, a renowned Scottish piper who has connections to myself.

01:49 We have the Mayor of Bexhill and the Deputy Mayor of Bexhill coming to officially open

01:55 the premises and then we have some entertainment and some refreshments for all our guests.
