00:00 Coach said last night that the energy is a little different around the building
00:02 going into this game.
00:03 Do you feel that?
00:05 >> Yeah, most definitely.
00:05 Yeah, yeah.
00:06 Guys are definitely having high intensity out there, locked in.
00:09 So definitely feel that.
00:10 >> Cory, does anything feel different this year,
00:15 second year with Dan planning as head coach, as opposed to last year?
00:19 >> Yeah, I would just say his approach.
00:23 He knows he really has us now type deal.
00:26 So yeah, he's just really going full all in on us now for sure.
00:30 >> What's the general vibe with the team right now heading into this first game?
00:32 Are you guys confident, are you excited?
00:34 >> Yeah, definitely.
00:35 I think it's a mixture of both, definitely confident and excited.
00:38 We're back playing football.
00:39 We all love to do that.
00:40 So yeah, we're definitely happy to do that.
00:43 We'll be back playing.
00:45 You're good.
00:45 >> Obviously, the win is the most important thing.
00:47 But what do you hope that the offense shows week one?
00:51 >> Not beating ourselves.
00:52 Not beating ourselves, no self-inflicted wounds.
00:56 Just executing everything at a high level and
00:58 doing what we know we're supposed to do against a team like Winnipeg.
01:01 >> Is that a consistent ball-handling feeling?
01:03 >> Yeah, I feel like that has.
01:04 Yeah, obviously we have our mistakes and stuff.
01:07 But I think we've definitely worked on them and lowered them a lot.
01:12 >> What goes into not beating yourself?
01:14 Obviously, when a guy makes a mistake, he knows he makes a mistake and
01:16 he doesn't wanna do it again.
01:17 But that can still happen.
01:18 What goes into it?
01:20 >> Just knowing your assignment, being locked in, focused, things like that.
01:24 Not really too much.
01:26 It's probably just a mental thing.
01:28 People are tired, you kinda mess up or whatever.
01:30 But yeah, that's pretty much it.
01:33 >> How has punt returning done for you?
01:35 >> Man, punt returning, it's cool.
01:37 It's cool, I'm not gonna lie.
01:39 It's a new thing for me.
01:40 Maybe did it a little bit in high school, but it's definitely not the same.
01:44 The kicks are way higher, way longer.
01:47 So I definitely adjusted to it, got way more used to it.
01:50 So yeah, it's cool though.
01:51 >> Is there a guy who's back there with you, kinda helping you out?
01:55 >> Yeah, a lot of guys.
01:57 Tez, he helps me, Gary, Chris, Chachi, also known as Josh.
02:02 But yeah.
02:03 >> What does it feel like to catch a 40, 50 yard pass at Autzen Stadium with that
02:08 crowd and how excited are you to have that feeling back?
02:11 >> Man, it feels great.
02:13 Just to have that support and the energy and feeling all the energy in there.
02:16 It's pretty cool.
02:17 So yeah, I can't wait for it to happen again.
