Hundreds of Harry Potter fans descended on London’s King’s Cross Station on Friday to celebrate the annual ‘Back to Hogwarts Day’, marking the fictional first day of term of the magical school.

TV personality Sam Thompson, who hosted the event, said: “I’ve had the best day, probably of life to be honest … I’ve never seen a busier Back to Hogwarts … I genuinely don’t believe there is a better fanbase than Harry Potter fans.” Report by Buseld. 00:00 I would love it if you gave a massive Hogwarts cheer.
00:03 To little Oliver!
00:06 I've had the best day of-- Probably of life, to be honest.
00:09 Mate, I was here last year. I didn't think we could top it.
00:13 I've never seen a busier back-to-Hogwarts than what we just saw today.
00:17 Mate, we had the second row absolutely rammed.
00:20 It was a joke. It was unbelievable.
00:22 Four, three, two, one.
00:26 [CROWD CHEERING]
00:28 I genuinely don't believe there are a better fan base than the Hogwarts fans.
00:43 I really don't. And I said this when I was out there, but, like...
00:46 The generations it spans.
00:48 'Cause obviously, I'm of the age where the books were coming out as I was aging.
00:53 But a lot of these youngsters, they're picking up the books for the first time 20 years on.
00:57 And how-- That's so beautiful.
