00:00 Do you think people need to give him time to settle into the team?

00:08 I tell you what I feel about him, that I love him, that I see his qualities every single

00:13 day in training. His work is excellent, a lot of the things that he's done for the

00:18 team is so good. The visual one, the one with the stats at the moment is what is missing

00:24 to put the ball in the net and to arrive on those and have a different impact in the game

00:29 but for the rest it's difficult to ask, especially our people in our stadium and our

00:35 supporters, more. My feeling is give him love and we'll get the best out of him.

00:43 With any other player, I think we have some very, very, very beautiful examples in the

00:48 last few years with players that we have given a lot of support and been behind them and

00:52 give them love and they have felt that and they just have exploded. A lot of good examples.

00:58 So I will stick to that because not everybody is going to be willing for Arsenal to do well.

01:03 But the ones that really by heart and so they really want the best for the club, let's

01:08 do it because there's a lot there to give us.

01:10 It sort of happened with Martial Oligar at the start and when he arrived a lot of people

01:16 weren't really convinced and it was only after a couple of months that people realised...

01:22 Maybe when you signed him on a permanent deal.

01:24 Gabriel Magallazzi was the same and Ben White could not play as a full-back. He could not

01:29 play as a full-back. Aaron Ramsey wasn't good enough and now you sign another keeper and

01:33 it's a catastrophe. But Aaron Ramsey wasn't good enough for Arsenal.

01:38 Okai Osaka was a left-back and now he's playing a right wing.

01:42 Grani Chaka, so we have so many examples, good examples. But the players have to love

01:48 what they do and I think they love more what they do when they feel supported.

01:52 Do you think Visage will be a left-sided midfield player?

02:00 Alright. We'll see because things will change and you will find chemistry. Granted, maybe

02:09 if he wouldn't be playing with Alex it would have been different. But something was there

02:14 and that chemistry built not only on the pitch but outside and that helped the whole thing,

02:19 the whole fluidity. If you put Fabio and Martinelli together something good is going to happen

02:23 because they are like brothers. It's something that is not in the tactics, it's not in the

02:27 formation. It's something that they look for each other, they look at each other, they

02:30 understand each other and they love playing with each other. That's a plus and we have

02:34 to be all the time trying to sense that.

02:36 Kai Nkosika is the epitome of the player you're looking for when you talk about game intelligence.

02:45 He can play so many different roles and play it so well.

02:48 He has a football brain, how he understands when to move, how to move, when to stay, when

02:53 to run. It's phenomenal. It's that bit that he's at the moment. It's true that he's played

02:59 with three different people in his back and they are the ones that have to make him good.

03:05 These guys depend on the ones in the back. I was at midfield and the two central defenders

03:08 are like this and they give you the ball all the time to the wrong foot at the right time

03:11 with the wrong pace. Disaster. I look bad. If I have good players behind me they make

03:16 my life much easier. So let's do that.

03:18 He sums up a big game player, doesn't he? He scored the winner in the Champions League

03:24 We're talking about a player that has done a lot at his age and he's been here for three

03:29 Premier League games. So, calm.

03:35 So far with the first few games, how have you assessed Thomas Martí at right back?

03:40 With the game ahead, is Gabriel back in contention to come back in centre back?

03:48 Depending. Last year we played against Fulham and we gave a goal away. Remember? How many

03:54 goals we conceded against Fulham? Last year. How many we should have conceded. It's very,

04:01 very relative. But yes, I really like Thomas. And I didn't invent it. It's not my invention

04:06 Thomas Martí as a right back. You know he played there before?

04:10 Yes, of course. Last season.

04:12 No, no, no. Last season no. Before. Many seasons. I got from Atletico Madrid with one of the

04:17 best coaches in the world. The best defensive coach in the world. He played as a full back.

04:21 What's your plans with Pep?

04:26 We are still looking for solutions and there is a lot of communication between his agent

04:30 and player and the club at the moment. There is nothing else to announce at the moment.

04:36 Is there something you think would happen with Kai?

04:56 Well that's what we are working for and what we are hoping. I'm very convinced that will

05:01 be the case. Like we were with other places, it's never a specific science. But when we

05:07 have to add ingredients to something to taste good and to look good and to enjoy it, I think

05:15 they need to feel supported. They have to feel loved. He's doing the rest. Believe me, his

05:20 work is incredible. The amount of speed that he runs, the distances. He won more duels

05:25 than anybody else in midfield.

05:28 So there are a lot of things but the one that is going to make him the player that we want

05:32 the difference, there are other things as well. But make sure he doesn't look at those

05:36 basic things that are really important in our way of playing.
