00:00 Let's first find out the latest update regarding the storm Hanna.
00:04 Let's ask the weather specialist, Rhea Torres.
00:07 Good evening to all of us.
00:16 In this update, we are reporting that the storm Hanna
00:20 last night at 4 p.m. passed again.
00:23 It was 375 kilometers east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
00:27 It was carrying a strong wind of 140 kilometers per hour
00:31 near the center and a gust of 170 kilometers per hour.
00:36 It is currently moving west-northwestward at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.
00:41 The Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is now high in the province of Batanes.
00:47 To our fellow countrymen in the area,
00:50 we expect strong rains and strong winds
00:54 due to the effect of the storm Hanna.
00:57 Based on our latest forecast,
00:59 the direction is generally west-northwestward or westward
01:03 and it is expected to change in the next few days.
01:06 Although we can see that the chance of landfall is low in our country,
01:11 we are still continuously monitoring the situation
01:14 because we are just following the updates for the next few days.
01:17 We can see that it is possible that the Philippine area of responsibility
01:21 will be affected by Monday.
01:24 Meanwhile, the strong winds are still blowing
01:27 in a large part of our country,
01:29 which is bringing rain,
01:31 especially in the southern part of Luzon
01:34 as well as some parts of the Visayas area.
01:37 We expect strong rains in the Ilocos region,
01:40 Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.
01:43 Meanwhile, for Metro Manila and a large part of the Luzon area,
01:46 the rain will continue,
01:48 but the effect of the enhanced southwest monsoon or hanging havagan
01:52 will still be there.
01:53 For most parts of the Visayas,
01:55 including Mindanao and Asante,
01:57 we have generally fair weather conditions,
01:59 although we still have a chance of isolated rains,
02:02 usually in the afternoon or evening.
02:04 In the situation of our ocean,
02:06 we have raised the gale warning for most of the people of Luzon
02:11 as well as the western Visayas,
02:12 so we are continuously reminding our countrymen
02:15 that if there are small sea vehicles passing by,
02:18 we should not cross the road
02:20 because the waves are still expected to reach the very sea.
02:24 That is all for the latest from the Pagasa Weather Forecasting Center.
02:27 I am Rhea Torres. Good afternoon to all.
02:30 Thank you very much, Pagasa Weather Specialist Rhea Torres.
02:35 to the city. The city's mayor,
