00:00 Good morning from the Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04 This is our update on the weather forecast for Baguiong Hana.
00:08 Earlier this morning, the last sighting of the center of Baguiong Hana was at 215 kilometers north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
00:19 The wind was strong and it was close to the center and reached 150 kilometers per hour.
00:25 We can see that the wind is stronger than the last time and the wind speed is reaching 185 kilometers per hour.
00:34 The wind is constantly moving at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
00:40 We can see here in our latest satellite images that the rain bands of Baguiong Hana are already in the middle
00:46 or the rain is already falling in the northern part of the extreme northern zone in the islands of Batanes and Babuyan.
00:54 Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon or the high-pressure storm that is being caused by Baguiong Hana
01:00 is the one that is causing the rain in the entire Luzon and the area of Western Visayas.
01:06 For the strong and fast movement of Baguiong Hana in the next days,
01:11 we expect that the generally westward or the fast movement of Hana in the next hours will continue.
01:18 We can see here in our track that while Hana is moving the ocean in the eastern part of Taiwan,
01:24 we expect that this storm will be stronger or slightly intensified.
01:30 It is possible that this storm will landfall in the eastern part or the eastern part of southern Taiwan later in the afternoon or at night.
01:38 And while Hana is moving the land of Taiwan later at night,
01:43 we also expect that the weakening of the storm will emerge or exit the Taiwan area.
01:52 It is also possible that this storm will exit the Philippine area of responsibility later at night or tomorrow morning.
02:00 We can also see here in our track while this storm is already outside of our PAR,
02:05 in the part of Taiwan street, it is just a severe tropical storm.
02:08 The weakening of the storm will continue in a tropical storm before it lands or the second and final landfall of this storm
02:20 in the coast of Guangdong or Fujian in China when Tuesday arrives.
02:27 Eventually, this will become a tropical depression and it will weaken into a remnant low.
02:34 And this morning, the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 still rose in the areas of Batanes
02:42 and we also added the Wind Signal No. 1 in the northern portion of Baboyan Islands, here in Baboyan Islands and Calayan Islands.
02:50 Compared to the areas that were hit by the storm within the next 36 hours,
02:53 it is still possible for us to experience the strong winds brought by this storm Hana.
03:00 For the strong rains or heavy rainfall brought by the storm,
03:04 this morning or for the next 24 hours, 50 to 100 mm or moderate to heavy rains are possible for us to experience in the Batanes area.
03:16 Meanwhile, this long wind will be our concern in the majority of the Luzon in the next days or at least for the next 24 hours.
03:24 This Southwest Monsoon that is being caused by the storm Hana will bring heavy rainfall in the majority of Luzon and Western Visayas.
03:32 Particularly, for the next 24 hours, in the areas of Metro Manila, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, in the area of Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite and Batangas,
03:45 we will experience 50 to 100 mm of rain.
03:48 So this is the moderate to heavy rain brought by the storm.
03:52 We are expecting 100 to 200 mm of rainfall, so heavy to intense rains,
03:57 strong to severe rain in the Ilocos region, Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro.
04:05 The rains will continue in the mentioned areas until tomorrow, so it will be added actually.
04:11 We will experience rains in the northern Palawan and Antique,
04:15 and the heavy to severe rains will continue in the western section of the country, I repeat, in the areas of Ilocos region, Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro.
04:27 Until Tuesday or Tuesday, the rains will continue in the majority of our country.
04:34 Part of the rains will be reduced in the Ilocos region and Occidental Mindoro,
04:39 but we still hope that these rains will continue because of the continuous rains we have witnessed in the past few days.
04:49 The soil in the mentioned areas is saturated,
04:53 so the chance of sudden rains and landslides in the next few days is still high.
04:59 The flooding of our rivers and lakes is also possible.
05:02 That's why we will continue to monitor the heavy rainfall warnings issued by our Pag-asa Regional Center in our localities and social media accounts.
05:12 In the strong winds or the severe winds brought by Hurricane Hanna,
05:17 since we have raised the wind signal number one,
05:20 we expect that especially in the areas near the villages and mountains,
05:25 or the coastal and mountainous areas, the winds brought by the storm will be stronger.
05:31 So, the possible impacts will be minimal to minor in the areas where the wind signal number one is high,
05:39 that's why we should be alert to the signs of this storm.
05:43 In the strong winds or the gusty conditions brought by Hurricane Hanna,
05:53 we will continue to monitor the gusty conditions brought by the storm in the areas of Baboyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Nueva Vizcaya, Zambales, Pampanga,
06:05 in the areas of Bataan, Aurora, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the northern portion of Eastern Visayas.
06:17 The strong winds will continue until tomorrow, and by Tuesday, the areas of the strong winds will be partially reduced.
06:28 So, on Tuesday, we will monitor the areas of the strong winds in the areas of Batanes, Baboyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite,
06:40 northern portion of Quezon, Lubang Island, Romblon, and Calayaan Islands.
06:47 In addition to the strong winds brought by the storm, we will also monitor the high waves or the high waves in some parts of our country.
06:56 We still have a high gale warning, we can see it in this diagram,
07:00 the seaboards of the northern and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon, northern portion of Quezon, some parts of Polilio Islands, and western seaboards of Visayas.
07:15 So, to our fellow fishermen and those who are concerned about sea traffic,
07:20 if possible, don't go too far because we expect that the high waves will continue until the very high sea level brought by the high waves.
07:29 We also hope that our sea travel suspensions will be possible.
07:34 And for the time being, here in Luzon,
07:40 because of the effect or the continuous effect of the rain bands, this storm,
07:46 in the areas of Batanes and Baboyan Islands, we will experience rain and strong winds.
07:52 So, rains with gusty winds are what we expect in the mentioned areas.
07:56 Occasional rains are the areas that are most affected by the high waves that we will experience here in Ilocos Region, in Zambales, Bataan, and occidental Mindoro.
08:08 Occasional rains are the heavy rains that we will experience here in Metro Manila, in some parts of Cordillera, Central Luzon, and some parts of Calabarzon.
08:20 The skies are cloudy, there are scattered rains, and we will experience boiling and splashing in the lower parts of Luzon.
08:26 So, in these areas, especially here in the extreme northern Luzon and the western section of Luzon,
08:32 the chances of floods in the mentioned areas are still high.
08:35 Be prepared and be alert in these areas.
08:38 The water temperature outside today is possible to play from 24 to 28 degrees Celsius.
08:44 17 to 20 degrees Celsius here in Baguio City, and 25 to 30 degrees Celsius in Tagangarawo.
08:51 The temperature forecast for Metro Manila today is possible to play from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.
08:57 22 to 28 degrees Celsius here in Tagaytay, and 27 to 31 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City.
09:05 Puerto Princesa and Calayan Islands, our temperature forecast, will play from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
09:13 In the western Visayas and Mindanao, we will still experience cloudy skies,
09:20 and there are high chances of scattered rains, boiling and splashing, because of the low tide.
09:26 In the southern Visayas, Central and Eastern Visayas, and the whole of Mindanao,
09:32 the weather is more clear than we expected.
09:34 It is hot and humid from morning to afternoon,
09:37 and from evening to night, we expect chances of scattered rains, boiling and splashing,
09:43 caused by localized thunderstorms.
09:46 The water temperature outside today is possible to play from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius.
09:52 26 to 33 degrees Celsius here in Cebu, and 27 to 33 degrees Celsius in Tacloban.
09:58 The temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today is possible to play from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
10:05 26 to 32 degrees Celsius here in Davao, and 25 to 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga.
10:13 And for our three-day extended weather outlook in the neighboring cities of our country,
10:21 we expect that in the next three days, we will see in this diagram,
10:25 a large part of the north and central Luzon will continue to experience high chances of rain caused by the low tide.
10:32 More in particular, in Metro Manila and Baguio City, for the next three days,
10:36 from Monday to Wednesday, we will experience monsoon rains,
10:41 and generally improving weather conditions that we may experience beyond these three days.
10:46 But at least for the next three days, we will continue to experience strong rains in the mentioned areas.
10:52 In the part of Legazpi City and most of Bicol Region,
10:56 we may experience more light in the future.
10:59 So, for tomorrow, it is possible that it will continue until the next two days.
11:04 In a large part of Visayas, so in Central and Eastern Visayas, as well as in the whole of Mindanao,
11:10 this will continue to experience generally fair weather conditions, hot and humid weather,
11:15 there are still chances of sudden and quick rainfalls caused by localized thunderstorms.
11:20 Temperature forecast for Metro Manila in the next three days,
11:24 it is possible to play from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
11:28 17 to 21 degrees in Baguio City, and 26 to 33 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City.
11:35 Temperature forecast for Metro Cebu in the next three days,
11:39 it is possible to play from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius,
11:42 and 25 to 33 degrees in Metro Davao area.
