00:14 And my name is Maggie McGowan and I'm the Clinical Services Manager

00:23 From Wednesday 6th September, how and where you access urgent and emergency care at the Ulster Hospital is going to change.
00:29 We move the Emergency Department to the new Acute Services Block.

00:35 It's just a few minutes away but it's vital you know how to get there safely.
00:39 When approaching the Ulster Hospital by road, please use the main entrance.

00:47 Go straight ahead past the former Emergency Department on your left.
00:51 You will come to a mini roundabout where you will turn left
00:55 and as you drive along you will pass the Critical Care Complex on your left hand side.
01:00 You will then approach another roundabout.
01:03 Go straight through it, passing the Inpatient Ward Block on your left
01:07 onto the next roundabout where you will then turn left and travel along the road at the back of the new Acute Services Block.
01:14 It is really well signposted.
01:16 You will then see the drop-off zone outside the new Emergency Department.
01:20 This area is for anyone who is critically unwell or has a mobility issue.
01:25 There's a car park just a short walking distance from the Emergency Department.
01:30 This is a contactless payment car park for your convenience and again it is well signposted.
01:36 Serving our community is at the heart of everything we do.
01:40 So the Trust is proud that in addition to our new 24/7 Emergency Department,
01:45 we will be operating a consultant-led minor injury unit.
01:49 Located on the site of the former Emergency Department,
01:52 the unit will be open 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm.
01:57 The minor injury unit will be staffed by specialist nurses, medical staff and other health care professionals
02:04 who are able to assess and treat patients of all ages with minor injuries.
02:10 After 6pm the minor injury unit will be closed.
02:14 If you require same-day care for a minor injury after this time,
02:19 please attend the Emergency Department or otherwise consider attending the minor injury unit the following day.
