00:00 I am the God of Stunt!
00:02 One Piece has some really awesome fights.
00:07 We are trying to capture the spirit of the manga
00:11 and give you the same spectacle.
00:13 Our actors really rose to the challenge.
00:16 No one came from a point of, "I think this is too difficult,"
00:19 because they want it to be as authentic as possible to their individual characters.
00:24 These are my friends. You don't get to mess with them.
00:28 Toffee being this happy-go-lucky character,
00:30 using his stretchy ability to protect himself or his friends,
00:33 kind of opens up a world where the whole thing is your playpen.
00:36 So we designed moves so we could put the fun element into it.
00:39 Him moving around a lot and stretching and curving his body.
00:42 Oh my gosh, I had to do a lot of stunt training.
00:45 Being a robber man has a lot of cool things.
00:48 I learned how to use wires.
00:50 He took dirt like a duck to water, and now this kid can fly.
00:55 I'd never experienced anything like that.
00:58 I hope the fans see the great attention to detail.
01:01 Transforming Zero into live action.
01:04 McKenyu is just amazing as a swordsman
01:08 and brought a lot of his own style and his experience to those fights.
01:12 He has the three-sword style.
01:14 Two swords in his hand, one in his mouth.
01:17 Ah, so that's where it goes.
01:19 I want to do my best to show what Zero and I can do.
01:24 Nami is a pro at the bo staff.
01:27 That's something that you see in the manga.
01:30 And we wanted to bring more into the live action series.
01:34 And, God, the fight sequences are so fun to do.
01:37 So I'm kind of like, "Throw them all in. I'll do them all."
01:39 She looks fantastic.
01:42 I mean, the stunt double was very impressed, as was I.
01:44 I actually grew up doing karate.
01:46 So it's a really fun thing to be able to do again.
01:49 For Usopp, we wanted to do a lot of action.
01:53 For Usopp, we had a marksmanship training.
01:56 I had to learn how to use a slingshot.
01:58 But even more so, Usopp spends a lot of the season overcoming his fears.
02:03 Maybe I should head back and make sure that Mary's secure.
02:07 Jacob is very funny. He brings an energy like no one else can.
02:13 He's like a scaredy cat, but he's also not.
02:16 Because when it comes to his friends, he's like, "Okay, I guess I'll fight."
02:22 My only weapon is my feet.
02:25 He doesn't use his hands because he has to use that for cooking.
02:28 So he exclusively uses his feet.
02:30 He definitely has to kick people in the head.
02:32 And so we were training pretty much eight to ten hours a day.
02:35 And now my leg can go fully above my head and axe kick down.
02:39 We did a mixture of kicking styles with Sanji.
02:43 Because, surprisingly enough, fighting with just your feet is a tough one to keep interesting.
02:49 So they wanted capoeira influences, they wanted some breakdancing influences.
02:53 And Tez was really dedicated to this craft and he spent hours and hours and hours practicing.
02:58 Good fighter.
03:00 This group's hard work and talent brought these characters to life in a way that is both familiar and new.
03:08 All of them are phenomenal.
03:10 And seeing them doing their own stunts and fighting, it's one of the most exciting parts of the show.
03:18 I can do more!
