00:00 So we're moving full steam ahead for takeover of the Corello Clinic.
00:05 We're here today to accept a generous donation from Morgan's to support us with our doctor
00:14 recruitment and this is an interesting and innovative idea.
00:18 So we, the funding that Morgan's are going to provide us will support us to bring in
00:24 what we're calling connected clinicians.
00:26 To bring in a doctor physically it could take quite some time, we're doing our best, we're
00:31 trying lots of innovative ways to make Eden look attractive for a doctor to move to our
00:37 area, but we can activate this connected clinician straight away.
00:42 We can bring in or engage doctors anywhere within Australia to support our patients at
00:50 the Corello Clinic and there won't just be doctors on the phone, sorry on screen, we're
00:56 going to provide a support team around the patient when they come in to our clinic and
01:01 they can have the usual treatment as if they were meeting a doctor in physical form.
01:06 They will get supported, a nurse will take them in, they will take their vitals, they
01:10 will then support the technology, they will be there with the patient while the patient
01:17 is talking to the doctor online, so they can, the nurse will have an idea of what's happening
01:22 with that patient and then they'll support them when they finish with that doctor and
01:27 then any follow-ups that they need.
01:30 We've had a couple of meetings with Damien and April and Belinda and they explained their
01:34 vision for the Corello Clinic in Eden and we were really impressed with their organisation
01:40 and their energy and we think that everyone has a right to see a GP in their local area
01:46 and it was something that we could easily get behind.
01:49 So it's in, I guess, joint partnership with the Morgans Foundation in Brisbane and they
01:53 match dollar for dollar whatever our office will donate and we're always looking for good
01:59 projects and this one we're really excited about and really happy to get behind.
02:05 Now I grew up in the country, I know what it's like to not have access to medical and
02:09 health and how important it is and how the stats show that in fact the country people
02:15 have worse health outcomes than city folk.
02:18 We have such less choice and such less ability to actually access what's around.
02:24 Having had cancer last year I know what it's like to have to travel long distances.
02:27 The whole concept is fantastic and Eden really needs something like this.
02:34 It's got very few resources but I think it's going to be one of those really from little
02:38 things big things are going to grow.
