00:00Hi, I'm Grant Hardwick and today I'm announcing my candidacy for the upcoming federal election
00:05as an Independent for the Division of Riverina.
00:08Now this isn't a decision that I've taken lightly.
00:11At the moment I'm a tradesman working full time, a small business owner and more recently
00:15an elected councillor, yet every day I feel the increasing pressures of the cost of living
00:19crisis.
00:20I know first hand the financial struggles that our community faces every day.
00:25The Riverina is a powerhouse of Australian agriculture, industry and community spirit.
00:31Extraordinary people who continue to persevere through this ever-changing climate.
00:36As a true Independent, I will always put people before party politics.
00:40It's not about sitting on the fence, but rather voting on issues that are directly impacting
00:44Riverina residents and being fully informed on those decisions.
00:49We need regional advocacy to protect our farmers.
00:52We need real investment in infrastructure to ensure that our roads, rail and communication
00:57networks keep up with our ever-growing needs.
01:00We need better healthcare so that Riverina residents don't have to travel hours for essential
01:04services.
01:05And we need to make sure that our young people have access to quality education and job opportunities
01:11right here in the Riverina.
01:14I answer only to you, the people of the Riverina.
01:18If you want a representative who will stand up for our farmers, our workers, our small
01:22businesses and our families, then I ask for your support.
01:26With the election set to be called at any moment, now is the time to act.

01:35more about me personally, so that come the election you're best informed to vote for
01:39your member in the House of Representatives.
