00:00 you see Jaylen back there returning punts,
00:02 when you see him line up in a wildcat,
00:05 when you see him throwing the football,
00:06 when those proposals are brought to you,
00:08 are you thinking, "Those are my guys"?
00:11 - No, I think it's about trust.
00:14 That's the first thing that comes to mind for me,
00:16 is that we have a lot of trust in Jaylen
00:19 to do a lot of different things.
00:21 And let's be clear about that.
00:24 He has earned that trust with his staff, okay?
00:27 We did not have the same level of trust in Jaylen McMillan
00:31 when we first got here, you know?
00:33 To handle all the things, to throw a pass like he did
00:37 late in the year last year,
00:39 and in the first game this year, all right?
00:41 To get back there and wildcat, take the snap,
00:44 operate the offense, talk to the O-line,
00:46 make sure that they were in their right alignments
00:48 and everything, like he did in the last game.
00:51 It's about trust, and he has gained that.
00:54 He has put the time in, put the work in,
00:56 and showed us in ways that have nothing to do
00:59 with him running a route off the field,
01:01 that he can be trusted.
01:02 And that, to me, shows the growth and maturation
01:05 of a young man, and I'm so proud of him.
01:08 You guys, I'm so proud of Jaylen McMillan,
01:12 where he has turned, what he has turned into as a man.
01:15 When I got here, he is a completely different human being,
01:19 in my opinion, than he was when I got here.
01:23 So, just super excited for his future.
01:27 He's gonna be a great person,
01:29 just for the rest of his life, I think so.
